Mom said no, an end that dream

Will buy next time, she began to cry

She wanted to go watch a movie

The latest one at nearby theatre

Mom told her don't waste money

They could watch it at home later

She wanted to buy more clothes

For herself, a gift for thanksgiving

Mom said at home there are lots

Use those ones, don't go buying

She wanted to have her own pet

Like the ones her friends too had

Mom said no, we really can't get

Taking care of them is very hard

She just burst out in anger one day

Her questions always unanswered

Why just refuse things and delay

Her wishes simply stay unfulfilled

Her family gave an answer that day

What the reason behind no's were

Struggling because of job's less pay

It was hidden not to disappoint her
