《The Midnight Man》Chapter 11 - Human Candle

Kiera woke up to birds chirping and light shining through the curtains. She got up and walked over to Madison's bed.
"Madison, it's time to wake up!" She bellowed. Madison groaned and got up.
"Where's May?" She asked. Keira just shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe she got hungry; it is breakfast time."
"Yeah, let's get something to eat; I'm starving!" Keira said, "Oh, wait, what about Cindy?" She asked. Madison looked down at Cindy, who was sleeping peacefully.
"Let's just let her sleep. It's not like she'd come to breakfast anyway."
"But what if she-"
"Keira! Stop worrying! Let's just go and eat!" Madison got angry when she was hungry, so Keira decided to go with her. They walked out into the hallway and saw May walking towards them with a piece of toast.
"Where were you?" Madison asked
"Getting food," May replied before taking a bite of her toast, "What? I got hungry!" May walked back to the room to finish her toast in peace. Madison was about to get her toast when she was interrupted by May screaming.
"Madison!" She heard May scream, "Madison! Come quick! It's Cindy..." May's screaming turned into crying as Madison sprinted to their room. She burst threw the door and was shocked, to say the least, when she saw Cindy's dead body lying on the floor.
It looked like someone had taken a knife, and cut her throat to her belly button, then removed all of her guts. Her insides had been replaced with white, melted candle wax that had now hardened. Her chest was sewn up, messily with red thread, but just enough to keep the wax from dripping out.
There was only one person capable of doing this... The Midnight Man.

Cindy's perspective - flashback
I woke up, gasping for breath again. Wow. A dream inside a dream. I sat up and sighed in frustration when I saw I was still in my house. I was still dreaming.
"Maybe this is a lucid dream or something?..." I said to myself. I looked around and noticed a small flickering light coming from the other room. I walked out into the dark hallway and struggled not to fall. I made my way down the barely-lit staircase.
It was obviously still nighttime - my best guess was 1 in the morning. I finally reached Sam's room and noticed that the door was open and in the middle of the room, on Sam's bed, was a small white candle. I walked inside and looked down at the candle in front of me.
SLAM!
The door slammed shut behind me. I tried to open it, but I couldn't. I was locked in.
"Hello, Cindy," A disembodied voice said.
"who-who are you?" Cindy stuttered.
"I... am The Midnight Man," The voice said calmly. Cindy gasped. The voice chuckled, "so you remember me."
"You killed my son!"
"You killed my brother!"
"Brother?" Cindy asked
"Well, Sam killed him, but you will pay for his actions." The Midnight Man noticed Cindy's confused expression, so he explained, "Cindy, do you know how many people summon The Midnight Man every night?" He asked
"No, why would I?"
"Hundreds. Hundreds of people summon me every day, so generations ago, my father, Mr Midnight, the very first Midnight Man, decided to clone himself. He made thousands of Midnight Mans. We all had slightly different personalities but only one mission."
"What's your mission?"
"To kill everyone that summons the midnight Man and to complete the ritual with anyone who kills a Midnight Man. We are all brothers, Cindy, and your son killed one of us. Someone needs to pay for Sam's mistakes. Unfortunately for you, you're his only family member left."

"Where are you?"
"I am everywhere. I am the air you breathe. I am the ground beneath your feet. I am the stars that make the universe. I'm also standing right behind you."Cindy screamed and turned around. Behind her was a tall figure with its hand behind its back. It held a knife in one hand and a candle in the other.
