《Wang Zen: Curse of Silver Eyes》V2 Chapter 26: Lu Lao Vs. Ghou Gin

Ghou Gin was stuck in the spin cycle of the Rolling Earth Wave. He gathered steam power between his palms and expanded it outward, breaking the motion of the wave and freeing him from the cycle.
He did not get a chance to rest before an arc made of white fire shooting towards him. Her dove to the side, dodging the arc of flames.
“White fire?” he said to himself, “How did she get her fire so hot?”
She looked out and saw Lao Lu chasing after him, swinging her sword and sending out arcs of white flames.
Ghou Gin thrust his arms out and sent out a massive shower of water to douse the fires. He screamed and outputted more water to douse the white hot fires.
Lao leapt over the massive shower. Ghou Gin leapt back to dodge a downward stroke of her sword. They both fought, Ghou Gin trying to find an opening but Lao was too agile for him and her two swords acted as a deterrent. Her sword’s flashed quickly, cutting him deeply in the shoulder, and thigh and also on the forearm. When the blade, skidding across his cheek, drawing blood.
He used to steam to propel himself up and away from Lao.He spun in the air. Lao launched a white ball of fire at him as he was somersaulting. Ghou Gin recovered mid air thrust his palms out towards the approaching ball of fire. He released a shield of steam and there was an explosion, which sent him falling back.
He was able to slow down his fall by releasing steam beneath his feet.
Lao chased after him, closing the distance between them where she would have the advantage.
Ghou Gin gathered water between his palm, shaping the water elemental into a ball of blue energy.

“Aqua Orb!” he shouted.
Lao cut the orb in half and it exploded either side of her into massive jets of water.
“She cut my orb?” Ghou Gin said in surprise at her skill.
When she was close to him, he slammed his fist into the ground. “Steam Geyser!”
A massive amount of steam erupted all around him. Leapt back to avoid the steam.
She pointed her sword at him and out came a stream of powerful, blue glowing water. It hit Ghou Gin’s steam geyser, the strangely glowing stream of water threatening to break through.
“Steam Geyser Expansion!”
Through the steam, Ghou Gin could be seen spreading his arms and feet. The steam geyser expanded, pushing the stream water away.
Lao abandoned her attack and leapt back, avoiding getting caught up in the steam. Once she was at a safe distance, she sent out another ball of white fire at Ghou Gin, whose steam geyser had depleted.
Ghou Gin launched another Aqua Orb at the oncoming fireball. The two attacks met but the orb exploded, leaving a red fireball still heading towards Ghou Gin. The Steam Dragon swiped his hand in front of the fireball, smothering it with a large swath of water.
He glared at Lao. “You like, fire? I’ll show you fire!”
He used steam to launch into the air. He could clearly see the landscape from his great height. The grey spec that was Xiu’s village, the river some distance away and his target, Lao.
“Fiery Meteor!” He thrust his fist and sent massive balls of fire at Lao.
She had to run and dodge, as massive explosions of fire went off around her. She stopped and sent a steam of glowing water at Ghou Gin while he was in the air.

Ghou Gin flew straight at the stream of water. “Steam Sword!” He shouted as a shaft of steam shot out from his hands and he thrust it at the stream of water, parting it.
Lao had to leap back to dodge him when he slammed into the ground, sending high pressure steam all around him that stripped the ground while whistling.
Lao was able to get clear of the powerful ring of expanding steam, stopping when it died down. She swung her sword at him and a massive arc of glowing water shot towards him.
Ghou Gin slammed his fist onto the ground. “Steam Geyser Fist!”
The earth cracked before his fist as a massive and powerful geyser of steam shot out from it. The geyser of steam met the arc of glowing elemental water and blew past it, heading towards Lao.
She shot out a stream of water at it, but the geyser did not slow down. She dove to the side to dodge it but to her surprise, the path of the geyser turned to her position and she was caught. She screamed as the geyser of steam engulfed her, then she collapsed.
“Nice try but no one beats, the Steam Dragon!” Ghou Gin said.
A drop of water fell on Lao’s face. Then more began to drop until there was a lot of precipitation falling on both of them.
Lao’s eyes opened and she got to her feet.
Shou Gin smirked, “You’re a tough one.”
“And you’ve lost,” she said.
“What?”
“I’m at an advantage.”
“I doubt that’s true. Even your white fires will be doused in this downpour.” Ghou Gin said. “And I can match your water easily with my steam.”
She pointed her blade into the air. A massive stream of water shot into the air and expanded outward, making the downpour even more intense. “Now,” she began as she stopped the stream and her swords disappeared, “I can fight at a whole new level!”
There was a crackle of white and blue that flashed for a second. Then another, then more, until the area around her had a massive amount of electricity.
The Steam Dragon’s eyes widened. “You’re… You’re a lightning elementalist! That’s how you got your fire to be white hot, by adding lightning to it and why your water had that strange gl… wait, you planned all; this. You wanted to create the perfect environment for your lightning!”
She nodded, her lightning growing stronger. “We’re basically in a cloud now and I can’t lose.”

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
