It had been a few days since the twins had started school. It was Wednesday and Alesandro was still pissed at Damon. Everyone was wondering what he had done.

Everyone was getting ready for the day, when Damon called Lexi to his office. Lexi practically jumped at the he chance knowing she would have his full detention. That's not something anyone would want.

"I wonder why he wants her" Matteo thought out loud.

"Well it is Wednesday" Mason replied not paying much attention.

Matteo had no idea what mason meant.

"He will no doubt be going through her chores with her since she was rude to Mary last week" Alesandro told his son. He may not be on the best terms with Damon but he allowed him to carry out the punishment because Lexi had been rude and he knew he couldn't let it continue.

Emilia was suprised they were going through with it. She dreaded it really, knowing Lexi would make her do whatever chores were given to her.

"What about school" Matteo asked knowing Mary did most of her work whilst everyone was at work or school.

"She will be doing them as soon as she gets home" Damon's cold voice interrupted them.

Emilia shuddered, she really didn't want to get on Damon's bad side.

Lexi huffed as she sat back down.

"I won't have any of that attitude from you either" Damon commented.

Emilia hated how much she liked seeing Lexi be told off. It made a change, she got to see how it was like on the end of someone's anger.

"Right I need to go to work. Those chores better be done perfectly by the time I'm home" Damon warned Lexi in a deadly calm voice. He then turned to Emilia "have a good day tesoro"

It was shocking how his tone went from 'I'll kill you if you so much as miss a speck of dust', to calm caring and affectionate.

Lexi didn't like it one bit.

"I really don't feel well today dad, do I have to do these chores" Lexi asked in the sweetest voice she could when Damon left.

"Yes. If you were to ill Damon wouldn't be giving you them. You were rude and disrespectful and that isn't tolerated in our home" Alesandro said. He felt for his daughter, he really did but he had to be more strict with them both.

"But Dante is always rude to me and nothing is ever done to me, why am I being being punished "

"Damon has already dealt with Dante" Alesandro replied. He was still annoyed about that but didn't let the others know.

Lexi looked over at Emilia who was finding the floor a lot more fascinating. She smiled trying not to show her true intentions "okay you are right, I'm being disrespectful again, I will do the tasks Damon has given me".

Time skip

It was now lunch time, Despite only her third day, Emilia had become fast friends with her new friends especially Sofia and Antonio. She had never had friends before so she was afraid of messing up but she was starting to get more comfortable.

She was walking to the cafeteria on her own as she had a class without any of her friends, when Lexi pulled her aside.

"I saw you this morning, you think it's funny that I'm having to do what you should be doing. It's only a matter of time before they get rid of Mary and make you their full time made because let's face it you are not worthy of anything else" she snapped.

Tears rolled down Emilias cheeks as she watched Lexi leave. Lexi was right. She was worthless.

She couldn't risk anyone seeing her like this so she quickly dried her eyes and went into the cafeteria.

Sofia called her over and Antonio patted the chair next to him. She seemed to always sit in between Sofia and Antonio. Evan, Hailey and Lucy would sit at the other side of the table.

"How was class Em" Sofia asked once she was seated.

Emilia shrugged, she didn't feel like communicating.

The friends all shared a look before Antonio spoke. "well I bet it wasn't as entertaining as mine. Guess who was in my class" Antonio said, he had been dying to share this but wanted to wait for Emilia.

"Who" Evan asked as he started eating.

"Luca and your sister Emilia" Antonio said.

This caused the table to give Antonio their full attention, they were only mildly interested before.

"What happened" Hailey asked.

Antonio suddenly realised it might offend Emilia but he got the sense they didn't like each other. "Luca was quite rude to her, is it okay for me to continue Emilia" Antonio asked not wanting to insult Emilia.

Emilia nodded, she was now curious as to what had been said.

"Yeah we still haven't talked about how your a twin. That's so cool" Lucy added.

Emilia just looked away, it wasn't cool it was hell.

"Ok so Lexi was trying to flirt. God it was cringey to watch. Have any of you noticed how she constantly looks like she has something stuck in her eyes" Antonio started.

"I had class with her earlier I thought she had some sort of eye condition " Hailey said.

Everyone laughed apart from Emilia who was still feeling worthless after Lexi's warning.

"What did Luca say" Sophia asked.

"What didn't he say.... basically to sum it up politely he told her to do one and called her out for bring an attention seeker. Actually he also mentioned you Emilia " Antonio explained.

"What did he say" Hailey asked.

"He said and I quote 'We all know Emilia is the better twin' she went and sat down after that"

"Do you think she heard us, she looks a little pissed off" Evan asked glancing at Lexi who wasn't too far away.

Lexi wasn't having a good day at all. She had the chores to do and Luca had embarrassed her in front of the entire class. She didnt like it one bit so she decided to get Luca in trouble. After all if Dante was going to beat Luca up for just kissing Emilia's cheek, he would do the same for the nasty words spoken to her. Right?

She got up and went over to her brothers table. They were sat with their friends. Lexi winked at a few whenever they looked at her.

"What do you want Lexi" Dante asked. Life was so much simpler for him without the twins.

"I'm just really upset, I don't know who else to go to" Lexi started.

"What happened? Are you okay?" Matteo asked concerned.

"Not really, Luca said such vile things to me. I don't want people to see me like that"

"Well did he hurt you" Dante asked, he didn't like Lexi but she was still family.

"He was vicious with his words" Lexi cried.

Dante nodded and stood up.

Everyone watched at Dante walked over to Luca, wondering if there would be a round 2.

Dante took a seat next to Luca who gulped "I hear you have been saying stuff about my sister" he started.

"Why does it matter, I only spoke the truth" Luca shrugged.

"Maybe but you still hurt her" Dante said.

"Well in that case she shouldn't have been acting so desperate. When you go back over there let her know I wouldn't go out with her if she was the last person on earth " Luca replied.

"How original " Dante commented.

"I'm suprised you haven't beaten Mr up yet" Luca commented.

"She's not worth getting into trouble for" Dante said and walked off.

Whispers filled the room, people started to wonder why he hadn't done anything.

One especially caught Emilia's attention "Luca is lucky to be alive, imagine being so dumb to go for both of their sisters"

Emilia didn't understand this. Dante was merciless but he wouldn't kill them right.

"Mafia" Evan mumbled.

Emilia shook her head but even she had some doubts. Damon definitely fit the criteria.

"It's just a rumour, don't freak her out like that" Antonio said, he noticed the fear and how her hands were shaking so he took hold of her hand. No one could see as it was under the table so no one said anything.

"I wonder where the rumour came from" Evan asked

"Okay enough of that, Emilia just ask them what they do for work, they obviously won't admit it but they will be nervous and try to avoid the question if they are" Sofia said .

Emilia nodded. Maybe she should ask? She would get an anwser then she wouldn't have to think the worst anymore.
