《the unwanted twin》chapter 29

When Damon and Alesandro got home later on in the evening, Lexi made sure to put on the water works. She had to be on her best behaviour to get Damon on her side.
She have it 10 minutes for them to part ways and then when she heard Damon go into his office, she followed.
She knocked on the door reluctantly, she knew he would only get annoyed at her if she didn't knock.
"Come in" he called.
Damon had just gotten home and he was putting away paperwork when there was a knock. He invited the person in and when he saw Lexi he couldn't help but sigh. She was his sister so he had to like her but she was hard work.
"I'm in no mood tonight Lexi so I suggest if it isn't important then leave it till tommorow" he warned.
Lexi had experience faking her emotions and thankfully Damon was blind to how fake she was because she was his sister.
She burst into tears and hugged him, Damon was suprised by this and awkwardly hugged her back.
"What happened Lexi" he asked.
"I'm just worried for Emilia"
"How come" Damon asked.
"Well she's fragile, I can take Dante's threats but I can't bare the thought of him threatening Emilia, he was so scary tonight and I tried to make her leave with me but he refused to let her go"
Damon was pissed when he heard this. "why was he threatening you" he asked.
"I really don't know, I guess he just doesn't like me. I couldn't help her, I'm sorry. Please check on her, he told me we weren't safe with him around. Im sorry" Lexi cried.
"Hey it's okay, you're okay now. Why don't you go to your room for now whilst I go check on Emilia and talk with Dante"
Lexi nodded as she left she had a evil smirk on her face. She had her back to Damon so he never saw.

Damon was angry, so very angry that he threw the first thing he saw.
"The boy can't even follow a simple instruction" he shouted.
Alesandro walked in at this moment "what happened " he asked seeing his son was furious.
"I fucking told you he was up to no good but no you thought he was innocent now he's going round threatening the girls" Damon snapped.
"Really? Emilia and Dante are practically inseparable " Alesandro had a hard time believing his son would hurt Emilia.
"Lexi just came crying to me about it" Damon stated.
"Hm okay let's take a look" Alesandro replied.
"It was in the bedrooms no doubt" Damon said as Alesandro got CCTV footage up
"It's worth a look"
Alesandro and Damon both had access to it from their offices and so in seconds they watched as Dante told Lexi she wasn't safe with him.
"See what did I tell you. The bastard is threatening them, god knows what he's doing out of sight"
Alesandro didn't want to believe it but he couldn't deny the facts. He wanted the full story before he made his final judgement.
"I'll talk to Alexia, I want to know exactly what was said in her opinion first. Go calm down" Alesandro said and left.
Alesandro spoke to Alexia, If what she was saying was true, Dante had some explaining to do. He was well aware Dante and Alexia didn't get along but Dante was so protective of Emilia that it was hard to believe he would hurt her. And the tapes did only show him saying it was unsafe for her.
Alesandro comforted Lexi the best he could and once she was settled, he tucked her in and said goodnight, it was very late after all. He then left to check on Emilia and find out her version.
He knocked on the door, no anwser so he slowly slipped in.
She was fast asleep and he smiled, he went to tuck her in and say goodnight but as he leaned down to tuck her in, her eyes opened. She took one look at him and scrambled back in fear.

"It's okay, I just came to check on you, I was just tucking you in" Alesandro said.
Emilia nodded watching him causiously.
"Now that you are awake, could you anwser a few questions, it can always wait till the morning if you're not up to it" Alesandro spoke gently.
Emilia nodded, she wanted to get whatever questions he had for her over with so she wouldn't be up all night worrying.
"Great. Now it's okay whatever you anwser I just want you to know you are safe"
Emilia couldn't help think the worst. Why wouldn't she be safe?
"Now there has been an issue regarding Dante, Alexia and yourself tonight" Alesandro started.
Emilia was confused but she suspected it was about the homework excuse and Lexi tried to spin it.
"I know you can't speak so I'll just ask yes or no questions "
Emilia felt bad, she could speak, she wanted to but this was Alesandro. It wasn't her brothers, it was her father. Henry was suppose to be a father figure and he never let her speak so maybe Alesandro would be the same. Especially after Lexi manipulates him.
"Has Dante ever been agressive or violent"
Emilia shook her head.
"Has he threatened you in any way"
Emilia paused as she thought of all the playful threats he had given her, usually when they gamed, she shook her head again.
Alesandro took her pause as hesitancy and so he pressed the subject "Emilia it is okay if he did, you are not in any trouble"
Emilia shook her head again. She knew this probably had something to do with the allergy and Lexi.
"Okay, did you spend time together tonight"
Emilia hesitantly nodded.
"I have no problem with that but Damon specifically told him to stay away, It just makes things more complicated"
Emilia gave him a questionable look.
"You see Dante is suppose to be proving his innocence and it doesn't help if he's going against what he has been told to do, anyway onto the next question do you know if Dante threatened Lexi tonight"
Emilia had a mix of emotions shock because he must have if they were asking this and maybe just a little happy, happy that Dante saw through her bullshit.
She shook her head again, she really didn't know.
"Okay well another question, did he stop you from leaving with her"
Emilia found this question difficult. He had done but it wasn't like she wanted to go with her.
"Emilia please tell me the truth"
She reluctantly nodded, she couldn't lie out of fear of the consequence.
"I see" Alesandro didn't like this anwser.
Emilia didn't like his anwser either, she didn't want to get Dante in trouble. She needed to explain but her notebook wasn't in sight.
She paused. She had spoken lots with her notebook and Alesandro always seemed happy the more she used it.
Maybe it was time.
She didnt know how to start speaking to him. What would she even say first?
"Dad"
Her voice was a whisper, so much that it was hard to hear but Alesandro heard. The issue with Dante seized to exist. He smiled brightly at Emilia, tears fell down his cheek.
Emilia hadn't had a dad before but she was slowly starting to accept Alesandro as her dad, she wanted to test it out.
"Mia bambina" he whispered and pulled her into a big hug. He hugged her tightly, stroking her hair and sobbing into it.
It was an unusual sight to see Alesandro Russo cry, nothing had made him cry since the day his girls left. He was stone cold but one word from his youngest child had him sobbing.
Sadly the moment couldn't last as they heard a thud followed by yells, all coming from across the hallway.
Dante's room.
