with my baby bubba, Y/N," Jake said, squishing my cheeks with one hand.
"Jake!" I exclaimed, shoving his hand away. I hated when he did that, a fact of course he was well aware of—that's why he did it all the time.
"Today, we're going to be cooking a 5-star meal with this easy bake oven."
"I'm an experienced chef on the easy bake, so this is going to be a piece of cake," I looked up at Jake for his reaction. "Get it? Cake? 'Cause we're baking."
"Shut up," he chuckled.
I punched him in the arm and we started "baking." After we had our mixture in the pan, I went to put it onto into the oven. Jake wrapped an arm around my waist and grabbed the pan in the other hand. I squealed when he lifted me up. He turned to the side and put me back down.
"I wanted to do it!" I exclaimed like a child.
Jake stuck out his butt so I couldn't get close to the oven and put the pan in. I laid a hard smack on his ass cheek.
"Ow," he whined, rubbing his behind.
"That's what you get!" I laughed.
Sam stood in the kitchen doorframe with his brows furrowed. It was likely he had witnessed most of that. "I'm just getting some water," he said, going to the fridge.
"Let's make the frosting while that's baking," Jake suggested. We returned to our "baking" and Sam went back to his room.
After we finished up Jake's video, I helped him clean up before going up to Sam's room. His door was open so I went inside. He was laying on his bed scrolling through Instagram.
"Hey, Jake and I are going to grab some Chipotle. Wanna come?" I asked.

"So I can third wheel on your date?" Sam retorted, not bothering to look at me.
"You know Jake and I are just friends," I replied.
"You sure don't act like it," he mumbled.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I questioned, folding my arms.
"He's always touching you. Constantly. We're friends and I don't touch you all the time."
"You could," I mumbled without thinking. I instantly regretted saying it and prayed he didn't hear. "That was supposed to stay inside my head."
"Well it was in your head to begin with,
Y/N," Sam chuckled dryly, getting up from the bed. He stepped closer and I felt the air getting thicker. He reached behind me and shut the door, backing me up against it.
"I'm guessing we're not going to get Chipotle anytime soon," I chuckled.
Sam shook his head before attaching his lips to mine.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.

Choices of the Magicless Son
I had an ability that allowed me to watch everyone. I narrated everything I witnessed. To who? To whichever being that's listening to my thoughts right now. I have a gut feeling you're there. Erik Spearhand was born from one of the many concubines of the current human emperor. The boy was insignificant. He was the only one in the whole world who couldn't use magic. And yet, his choices impacted everyone. I had seen every sort. Powerful mages who could kill with a thought. Monster people who had their own history among human and beastman civilization. And even what I presume are time travelers. Those mess with my head. And still, the magicless son was the most formidable of them all. Of all of us.
