《Replacement Bride》Chapter 16 - Hamid

A lot had changed since the demise of our grandmother, and now I guess I was already used to Amani's body or should I say warmness.
What happened was that, during our stay in our family house I was tasked with cuddling her because she was losing it.
Hence I would always embrace her, make sure she's okay and/or keep her mind off whatever will remind her of our grandmother.
The only time we are separated was when she would go to bed, she used to sleep in Baba Sagir's chamber with her parents.
Trust me, even after we returned back to our house I couldn't get enough of her body. I loved her warmness and how she used to breath around me.
Every time we have that body contact I used to feel a lot that I can't explain, but I loved whatever that is I was feeling.
Yesterday, after returning back from our family house I cooked us some noddles because she was complaining about exhaustion.
We ate and in the night we slept in her room. At first I was on the floor waiting for the slightest chance to be on the bed with her which I eventually got.
That night was one of the best nights ever, I enjoyed sleeping very close to her with my hand around her abdomen.
In the morning she asked if I made love with her without her knowledge which I told her I didn't but she kept asking if I did which made me furious.
As a woman, she ought to know if a man slept with her or not right? I mean, she would feel it or wouldn't she?
I went downstairs, ate my breakfast and began dusting the chairs in the living room. I was in that process when she came down and told me she was leaving for school.

"Take care" I muttered to her.
Hence she bade me goodbye and left, after which I stopped what I was doing and relaxed on one of the chairs.
What is wrong with me? I asked myself because the last time I checked, I wasn't this deep into Amani.
Now, every microsecond I spent alone without her close to me I would feel uncomfortable. And sometimes I would feel like a part of me had been taken off.
I kept thinking until my phone buzzed, it was a credit alert from Swizz Limited. Words cannot express how happy I was, finally the loan had arrived!
I quickly called the company to confirm it before reaching out to the man whose shop I wanted to acquire. Unfortunately, his line wasn't going so I got myself prepared and drove to his house. Hopefully, he was around.
"Hamid, kai ne nan haka (is this you)?" He chuckled as we both shook hands.
"Yes, and I am here with your money. Give me your account number" I said with happiness written allover my face.
"Wait now," He said clearing his throat. "Sit let's talk first" He offered me a chair.
"Thank you" I huffed and sat on the chair "So?" I wrinkled a brow at him.
"I am so sorry, Hamid" He said making me to puzzle.
"Sorry for what? I don't understand" I muttered.
"Actually, I sold the shop to some..." He said as I quickly cut in.
"To who? Are you joking or what?" I quried.
"I am not joking. I am serious, Hamid" He said lowering his pathetic face.
"You are a coward then!" I stood to my feet. "Why would you sell the shop to someone when we've already had an agreement?"
"Agreement? Yes, but someone came and paid double the price you offered to pay" He said making me to feel like strangling him.

"Oh, so it's all about business huh?" I nodded incessantly in disappointment. "Good!"
"I am sorry" He implored.
"Sorry for yourself!" I hissed at him and left.
To say I was hurt was an understatement, I drove home and thought thoroughly about it until Amani returned back from school.
She brought some groceries with her, thus the moment she saw me in one of the chairs – looking at the ceiling depressed, she swiftly walked over to me and kept the groceries on the center table.
"Ya Hamid, is everything okay?" She asked sitting on the arm of the chair I sat in. "Please don't tell me it's about what happened in the morning, I am so sorry if it's about that. Wallahi it wasn't as if I was angry with... with you, I am your wife after all and you have every right to..."
"He sold the shop" I cut in making her to puzzle.
"Ban gane ba (I don't understand)" She huffed and continued. "You mean the shop you wanted to purchase? But an turo ma loan din ne (have they sent the loan)?"
"Yes, an turo (they sent it) not long ago" I gulped and continued. "After receiving the alert, I went to that idiot to pay for the shop but then he told me he sold it to a rascal that offered double the amount I was willing to pay him. Imagine!"
"Subhanallah!" She placed her hands on her chest. "Gaskiya mutumin nan bai kyauta mana ba (that man didn't try for us)" She heaved a sigh. "But please Ya Hamid don't let it get to you, we will get another shop In Shaa Allah. The one that is better than that one"
"I hope so" I sighed, inhaling her scent. And before I knew it, I already had my hand around her waist.
Thence I began pulling her little by little to meet my body, only for her to gently avert from me.
"Let me go and start preparing our dinner," she said carrying the groceries she kept on the table. "By the way, it's one of your favorites I am going to cook sir"
"Hmm, fried rice?" I asked.
"You can guess again" She said heading towards the kitchen.
I was tired of being alone so I trailed her to the kitchen. Not as if I could render much help to her though, but half bread is better than none right?
After cooking the meal, we ate in the kitchen together. I was sitting on a stool with my plate in my hand while she, on the other hand, leaned by the cabinet.
I thought I knew everything about her since childhood but I was wrong, I only knew few things. And now, I was surprised finding out she was a talkative.
I kept looking at her as she kept talking, smiling and laughing every now and then. I wished I could stop the feelings I was developing for her!
The more she talk and smile, turning around and demonstrating things to me, the more I feel her deep in my chest.
"Should I add more food for you?" She asked.
"No" I said looking deep into her eyes, lustfully.
