Beatrix tried to swim but her body feels like freezing! Her wet clothes feel so heavy and restricting! The underwater current is mercilessly strong and tossing her! It makes her so dizzy and sick as she sinks farther and farther below...

Am I going to die now? I do not want to die again so soon... Please save me...

Her eyes slowly close as she saw that the light from the ship is getting farther and fainter while her body went deeper and deeper into the sea...

She felt that someone hold her hand and enveloped her body in a protective and tight embrace. She wants to open her eyes and focus but she could not as her consciousness drifted away...

"Whew! Psi, it is so hard to contact you and maintain that contact!" Phi said, feeling so annoyed.

"I am so glad to see you again!" Beatrix excitedly replied. "Since our contact seems unstable, I will be straight! Why am I cursed? What did I do so wrong to deserve this punishment?" She immediately asked.

"Every human has a predestined future and life path created by our Father, the Great Creator since the beginning. As the Goddess of Fate and Destiny, your job is to make sure that every human fulfills their intended life path. This way the balance of life and death in the Mortal Realm is maintained and the past, present, and future are also stable. You are very outstanding and serious in doing your job that is why our Father loves you the most but one day, after you saw the life of a mortal, you believed that it is not fair...You know it is forbidden but you changed this mortal's fate and destiny. You did this, not only once but several times! When our Father knew about it and he discovered the serious result of what you did, he is so disappointed with you for breaking the rules, for disrupting the balance of life and death, and for altering everything! As a punishment, he threw you out of the Immortal Realm and punished you to live seven lifetimes with the mortals as a warning to the other immortals! Our Father said that you will bring chaos and destruction to others while you are living with the mortals... It is good that you did not commit suicide in any of your previous lifetimes to shorten the time of your punishment or else you will go back to square one!" He explained.

Beatrix's brow furrowed unable to believe that for these mortals, she ruined herself?!!

"Who are these mortals that you are referring to? The reason why I am suffering like this?!!" She curiously asked. She wants to know the root cause of her doom!

Phi responded but she could not hear him again!!!

Beatrix woke up when the sun is at its highest! She immediately checked her surroundings and realized that she is currently on a white sand beach! She noticed the enchanting, clear, and beautiful blue-green seawater inviting her for a swim!

Wow! Beautiful! So beautiful!

She is currently under the shade of trees near the beach.

"I am glad you finally woke up!" Some unfamiliar voice told her.

She glanced in the direction of the voice and looked at the face of a male stranger! The man is tall with a well-proportioned physique. He has light brown hair, softly rounded brown eyebrows, long eyelashes, almond light brown eyes, a high straight nose bridge, and full lips! In general, the stranger beside her is an extremely attractive male specimen!

"Who are you? Where are we now? How did we end up in this place?" She successively asked, feeling worried and uncomfortable that she is together with a stranger.

"My name is Valentine. I do not know where we are but we are probably on a secluded island that is still part of Solaris Empire. I was the one who rescued you last night when our ship is sinking and you were thrown off the ship." He patiently explained.

"I am sorry if I sounded rude. My name is Beatrix. Thank you so much for saving my life! I do not know how I could repay you!" She said her real name because her instinct told her to do so. It is probably because he saved her.

"Don't mention it." He said as if it is not a big deal.

"If I may ask, have you also seen my companion? The man who is with me?" She immediately asked when she remembered Prince Anders.

"I do not know what happened to others. After I saved you from drowning, I located a floating part of the ship and used it to save us both. The strong wind and waves drifted us away from the ship and carry us near on this island." He said and pointed to the part of the ship he is referring to.

Beatrix saw the object near the seashore and realized that he is telling the truth. She thanked him again and asked him about his plan how to get off this island. He just shrugged and simply said.

"I will just wait here to be rescued. If the authorities heard about the shipwreck, rescue will soon follow in search of any survivors." He declared confidently.
