Another month passed, Beatrix went to a sacred place where it is rumored to grant your heart's ultimate desire. She does not want to suffer another miscarriage! She thought that there is no harm in trying so she convinced her husband to let her go out to pray for their baby's safe arrival to the world.

Crown Prince Andrew reluctantly agreed because he could not be with her due to serious events in the capital but he assigned a lot of servants and guards to take care of her since she is so insistent and he cannot afford to make her very angry, worried, or sad especially now that she is carrying their precious baby! He hugged her so tight and kissed her lips...

"Okay. You could go but do not make any trouble and immediately go home once you are done." He told her.

She excitedly nodded. He gently rubbed her still small belly and smiled.

"Little one, behave... Do not trouble your mother..." He issued a gentle command to the baby inside her.

She smiled happily as she could see the intense happiness and contentment in his eyes.

Beatrix prayed for her baby's safety and well-being in the sacred place! She wants him or her to grow as an intelligent, kind, and gentle person. It is too bad that it is only allowed to wish for one thing! She wants to wish for her survival and happiness too but she chose to prioritize her child instead! After she prayed, she turned and was surprised to find Prince Anders.

"Beatrix, I need to talk to you..." He told her wearily.

"What is it?" She asked and chose to depart from the sacred center and go to a place she could talk to him.

"I heard that you are pregnant..." He directly asked her.

"Yes, two months already." She told him the truth but decided not to provide more details.

"I see... That explains it." He told her mysteriously.

"Explains what?" Her brow furrowed as she could see that something is happening but she is not aware!

"Haven't you heard about what happened to Lady Anne, the quadruplets, and her entire family?" He gently asked her.

"No, what happened to them?" She grew more curious...

"You better ask my Imperial Brother what happened to them or should I say how and why it should happen to them. I do not care about Lady Anne and her family but the children..." Prince Anders starts to tell her what happened but decided to shut his mouth in the end.

"I do not understand. What did Andrew do this time?!!" She grew more worried as she could see his sad and defeated expression.

"You better ask him since he did it to secure the future of his child!" He said while holding her shoulder then glanced at her belly and left!

Beatrix was so confused during the whole time as she traveled back to her husband's mansion. She tried to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together based on what Prince Anders provided her. She paled as she realized something!!!

Did you do that, Andrew?!!

When she arrived, she immediately looked for him and confronted him.

"Your Highness, I want to ask you about what happened to Lady Anne, her children, and her family..." She wants an answer but he immediately interrupted her.

"It does not matter what happened. What is done is already done. Do not think about it anymore." He indifferently told her.

"The children..." She wants to argue more but he interrupted her again.

"The children are pitiful but that is how life is." He coldly told her like it is not a big deal after all.

"But..." She wants to get to the bottom of it but he is truly uncooperative!

"Sleep now, Beatrix. Do not concern yourself anymore. Their deaths are their mother's fault and her family's." He calmly said and motioned for Beatrix to sleep early.

Beatrix wanted to refuse and ask more but he reminded her that she needs to rest early because of the baby in her belly. She slept peacefully after she felt his warm hug and heard his stories about bandits, thieves, and other rule-breakers and their unfortunate encounters with imperial soldiers... She did not like to hear stories like that so she immediately yawned and slept peacefully.

Crown Prince Andrew knew what she likes and what she does not like so he chose a boring story so she and their baby could properly rest. He stared at her. He knew that his wife is very curious but he will not explain further and make her suffer from nightmares. He knew that Beatrix likes children and she has soft spots for children.

The lesser she knew, the better...

Seven months later, Crown Prince Andrew was able to present concrete pieces of evidence against Prince Anders! The Emperor and Empress were shocked when all of the evidence are presented to them!

"Son, how could you do something like this?!! Why did you do this?!!" The Emperor angrily exploded, unable to believe that he is so capable of doing all those things.

"It does not matter anymore how and why I did it. I admit I am guilty of all those crimes." Prince Anders finally confessed after all the evidence solidly point towards him and he cannot refuse anymore.
