After the Selection Day, Prince Anders noticed that aside from the unexplainable disgust and hate towards his Imperial Brother, Beatrix did not remember all of the memories before that specific day! He thought that it was probably the effect of the spell so he did not think too much about it as long as she is okay and she remained his woman!

One thing is sure... Prince Anders does not want his wife to remember the past! He does not want it to affect their current relationship and harmonious marriage! They say that a picture paints a thousand words but for Prince Anders, there is only one message:

I need to go back soonest and kill him before he could ruin my life!

Five months after Prince Anders arrived on the battlefield, the enemy had been crushed under his leadership. The Cloud Empire surrendered and promised to give five cities and pay a huge amount of tributes every year. After the mission had finally concluded, Prince Anders packed his belongings and prepared several precious gifts for his beloved wife. He is so excited to return to the capital together with a very large army. He planned to surprise them and return to the capital with a huge bang!

The good news reached the capital of Sky Empire. Everyone praised Prince Anders for his bravery, tactical intelligence, and great service to the empire. The whole capital is very excited to welcome their outstanding war hero!

Beatrix is so proud of her husband and enthusiastically waited for his victorious return in the capital. She misses him so much, especially his great sense of humor, infectious laugh, encouraging words, warm actions, safe comfort, extreme generosity, and the peaceful life that he is giving her because her stay in the imperial palace reminds her of the first lifetime. Most concubines are looking at her with extreme jealousy, insecurity, and hatred! They ganged up on her to make her life difficult and miserable inside the palace!

Oh, come on! I am no longer the Empress of Sky Empire! I am not even one of the Emperor's women in this lifetime! Why are you still viewing me as your opponent?! You are barking up the wrong tree!!!

She angrily thought when she recognized that some of these women became Emperor Andrew's concubines in the first lifetime! History has a twisted and annoying sense of repeating itself! Empress or not, she did not let them bully her! She drove them to a corner and made them understand that if they messed with her, she could ruin their life! After teaching them a lesson on different and several occasions, she let them be. She is hoping that they will also do the same to her. Fortunately, she did not see them anymore inside the imperial palace. Whatever happened to them, she did not care! After several scheming and bullying incidents between Beatrix versus the concubines, the number of Emperor Andrew's concubines dropped significantly! Beatrix made them suffer but she never killed any of them. For some reason, they all vanished without a trace!

The remaining concubines realized that they could not afford to directly fight against Beatrix because she knew how to defend herself directly and covertly. They also felt that she has the Emperor's favor and protection because all the concubines who dared to go against her suddenly disappeared so they used a different approach. They started fawning, trying to get on her good side but Beatrix felt extremely annoyed when these women asked for tips on very sensitive matters like:

How to effectively seduce a man?

How to make a man stay loyal and faithful?

How to please a man in bed?

What?!! Do they think that I am a vixen or temptress?!! Or are they indirectly saying that I am a whore or harlot?!!

She angrily thought and finally exploded!

"For the first question, I did not try! For the next question, it is your man's choice! And for the last question, it is the power of true love! Now, if you do not know simple logic, get out of my sight and never return! You are rubbing your stupidity on me! You are wasting my precious time and ruining my mood!" Beatrix shooed all of them away. She tried to be nice but they are constantly testing her limits!

Several concubines end up insulting and offending Beatrix; consequently, they angered another ruthless and dangerous person! Beatrix did not pursue anymore but someone secretly took care of them for her so the number of concubines in the imperial palace dropped significantly again! She had an idea of what is happening but she decided to be indifferent about it. Her hands are already full! How he treats his women and manages his personal life is not her business anymore! She focused on her husband's return instead. She excitedly asked Emperor Andrew's permission to prepare for her husband's welcome and victory celebration, to which he immediately gave his approval so she hurriedly walked away to start the grand preparation.
