Finally, Prince Anders saw a great opportunity and threw his sword to pierce his brother while the latter fastly somersault in the air! Suddenly, the victory is within his reach! He could see it, hear it, smell it, taste it, and feel it... Until he saw with his own eyes that his Brother Emperor suddenly vanished in the air! Even his Brother Emperor's essence vanished! He could no longer see, feel, and track his moves! He immediately ran, jumped, and grabbed his sword which pierced nothing but thin air!

He suddenly realized something but it was too late! It was so fast when his Brother Emperor suddenly reappeared very near in front of him then he felt that something hard and cold pierced his chest or more accurately, it pierced his heart and one of his lungs at the same time!
Prince Anders felt the excruciating pain when his brother pulled out the weapon that was used to stab him! He dropped his sword and kneeled on the ground when his breathing became so difficult... He suddenly experienced shortness of breath! He could taste more blood... He felt extreme cold and shock washed over his entire body! He felt the warm and sticky wetness on his chest, staining his clothes with fresh, red blood!
"I lost..." Prince Anders figured it out when he saw the exquisite yet so sharp dagger! He is familiar with the dagger. It is the same dagger that their Father Emperor gifted to his Imperial Brother after he won the first princely competition! It is the same dagger his brother wanted to use to kill him long ago but he was stopped by Beatrix!
"As usual so do not be surprised." Emperor Andrew blandly replied and coldly faced his Imperial Brother who was already down and about to depart soon...

"Damn you! Even if I die today, she will never be yours!" Prince Anders coughed up more blood as he felt more pain and pressure building up. He felt weaker and dizzier as more blood flowed out...
"Wrong! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Someone forgot about a very interesting law..." Emperor Andrew shook his head in amazement that his Imperial Brother forgot that law so he reminded him before he died. "Did you forget that an existing law states that if a male member of the imperial family died without a child, his legal wife will have to enter the closest male relative's harem."
"Damn you! Damn you to hell! You evil, desperate, pathetic Wife Snatcher!" Prince Anders blurted out and glared ferociously at his calm brother staring down at him while he wheezed and coughed up more blood."You planned all of these..."
"It is not my fault that you are very weak thus, you cannot reproduce... It is also not me who foolishly gathered all his army to openly challenge his Emperor..." Emperor Andrew nonchalantly replied.
Prince Anders laughed without happiness when he recalled his serious crimes and the consequences of those serious crimes! It seems twisted but he suddenly felt hope and excitement, thinking that he and Beatrix will be inseparable in death and consequently together in the afterlife because of his serious crimes...
"Imperial Brother, dream on! Beatrix will need to join me because she is my legal wife." Prince Anders told his brother. He is not entirely disappointed because he will not be alone and lonely in the afterlife... His beloved wife will join him shortly!
"Wrong! Let me tell you something, Imperial Brother... The whole capital did not know about your betrayal and traitorous deeds!" Emperor Andrew said to his dying brother seriously. "Normally, with all the crimes that you committed, you should be captured, tortured, stripped of your title, and beheaded together with your legal wife and whole household but how can I let her suffer and join you in death? Never!!! So I made sure that the news of your betrayal and high treason will not be leaked so everyone will never know and she won't have to suffer and die with you!" He explained further to his glaring brother.

"Imperial Brother, you will remain as the honorable Prince and Hero of Sky Empire! You will have a grand funeral service and burial... Consider that as my generous payment for taking your life and your wife!" Emperor Andrew coldly declared to his brother who looked at him with stubborn hate even when breathing is already a punishment!
"This... this... I... am... not... yet... done! I... will... never... let... go!" Prince Anders struggled as he breathed, feeling the cold and darkness are slowly claiming his life away but he needs to say his last piece. "I... swear... you... will... never... be... happy! Beatrix... is... only... mine!"
