《Ready Or Not》XXXIII

I rolled out of bed slowly hitting my alarm. 26 years young and my body damn sure feels like it.
I glanced at my empty bed before making it. I quickly let Major outside watching him for 15 minutes before I walked into the bathroom starting my shower getting in. I stood in the water getting lost in my thoughts like every damn morning sadly.
I have had it rough these last couple years. The crew still together just without me. Hush and I fell out, he blamed me for Leigha's miscarriage. I was "bad luck" as he stated. Shugg checks on me here and there, once or twice a week. Razz and Ryan are my backbones literally. I separated myself though. I lost everything including myself.
I remember waking up one morning to Silas' side empty and cold. A short letter that said "I love you" and my son's ashes and my breast milk in a cute necklace with his birth stone. That was maybe a month after his death, since then I haven't seen Silas and the streets been quiet. We are still married so I am still protected. I miss him and I still am in love with him deeply.
Nothing much has changed for me. Who am I kidding a lot has changed. I gave up my teaching dreams and started braiding and doing lashes at the same time. I got licensed and look at me now. I have a "small" building I love. I'm wasn't super excited for this new chapter. I'm alone sharing it alone. I snapped back into reality when I felt the cold water. I quickly finished my shower. I stepped out getting ready quickly. I threw on a cute outfit and brushed my hair in a low bun.
"10:09..." I mumbled. I put my heels on rushing to throw stuff in my bag. I'm no longer the same same Kleo. I slipped into my high school mindset. Talk less, but more observant. I kissed Major's head rushing out my small home.

I stopped to get myself a smoothie before going to my shop.
"No Broken Promise" I read the name quietly. Where we promise to have you looking good no matter the situation.
"Hello Kleo! You look good boo!" My receptionist Rue said flipping his dreads. He became my best friend here.
"Hey Rue baby." I smiled softly hugging him before walking to my office.
I kissed the picture of Silas and Messiah sighing deeply. I began to busy myself. I signed off on some checks and looked through my appointments today. I said a quick prayer before checking every room.
The salon is the main room. Which was spotless. Everything else needed minor cleanup. I passed out checks and we began our day. A couple of hours passed by. The music started to play in the background and changes by H.E.R started playing.
"Lately, I been going through some changes
Been running out of maybes
Boy I know you're losing patience
Losing patience
Losing patience with me
Sometimes I get fed up with all the games
Sometimes you all just act the same
Maybe I'm the one to blame
That's just how the game goes
When you're feeling alone
Everybody got somebody that they mess with on the low
Now I just want you to save me
I just want you to save me, Ohhhh
We got options
But I just wanna let you know that I decided
I finally realized that
All I want is you" I sung along lowly braiding my second client hair in tribal braids.
I finished by the end of the song to see Rue and Ryan standing there laughing. Ryan does nails and runs the nail room.
"Hey baby." She smiled kissing my cheek.
"Hey."
"How you been?"

"I'm okay."
"That hoe a lie!" Rue interrupted me.
"Shut up."
"No bitch yo ass getting flat! You don't never eat and you overwork yourself." He said putting me on blast. I sighed pouting.
I mugged him. Bitch talk too much.
"Kle... Silas clearly don't care if he didn't stay." Ryan said.
"I know." I shrugged.
"Clearly not if you still look like a sad ass puppy. I feel like we should go out and I'm not talking about going out to breakfast." Rue fussed before answering the phone. His honesty was something I lived for regardless of how irritating it is and he ain't scared of shit. Like Razz but worse. If that's possible.
"Let's go. I made my lash appointment we can talk in there." Ryan said pulling me to my lash room.
"I love it in here so cozy." She smiled.
"Mhm you be sleeping on my damn bed when you on break. I be catching you."
She laughed.
"... have you spoken to the crew?" I questioned.
"No fuck them folk. You the only reason I was around them hell Razz too. Now you don't mess off it's just us..." She shrugged.
"You think he misses me?"
"He kidnapped you. Clearly he's obsessed. I just don't feel like he care if that makes sense."
"2 years... He sent me something on baby boy's birthday and death date though." I shrugged.
"As he mother-fucking should."
I laughed lightly doing her lashes.
