The Astrid family has ruled the empire for millennia. The Great Grand King of Astrid developed a dark nature and rebelled to usurp the heavenly realm when they realized their powers were nearly as great as those of their creators. After killing the heir to the throne of the Dark Dragon King, the heavenly creators decided to put a curse on the Guardian's successors to control their power. For many generations, the Astrid King's first sons carried the dark curse in their blood. The curse which causes the Guardian's blood unsatiable desire to kill had a devastating impact on the empire, which came dangerously close to collapse.

To prevent the fall of the empire three hundred years ago, the Light Godess Dragon granted her blessing for a female child. The Astrid family welcomed a boy and a girl into the world. King Astrid II chose to delegate authority to his two children in order to prevent the collapse of the Kratoryah empire. He vested authority in his son Arthur to rule the north and in his daughter Rebecca to rule the south.

It is common knowledge in the empire that the Astrid's dukedom in the north is equivalent to the power of the south. In fact, they are the source of this empire's power due to their superior military might and wealth resources.

The northern Dukedom of Astrid didn't have a female heir for several generations after Rebecca died. As a result, the northern Astrid family is still under the influence of the blood curse and can only produce one male heir. The successors continued the brutal killings and conquest of their neighboring empires as a result of the dark curse's effects. Many kingdoms were overrun, and they were left in ruins. Since the Light Goddess Dragon could no longer bear to see the atrocities committed by the male Astrid bloodline descendants, she sent one of their healers to intermarry with humans and established the temple of wisdom in the Kratoryah empire. This was her final blessing.

In order to determine the female companion, the completion rites are organized by the temple each time a male heir from Astrid is born. The School of Ashford is a prestigious institution for the kingdom's knights, wizards, and gifted individuals. The academy is located in the southern capital, which is governed by the temple and the Carlyle royal family. To get in, you must pass a series of challenging exams. In addition, you must receive a recommendation from one of the higher noble families in order to be considered for the exam.

The female lead character consistently receives mixed reviews in the comment section of their fan page. Given that they made her the protagonist and antagonist, I personally don't like her character. Because she falls in love with both of the main characters, the female protagonist's heart is left torn between the two most powerful men in the empire. She aspired to rule over every kingdom in this world.

Furthermore, there are many R-19 bed scenes in this series. I mean, by comparison to this series, Game of Thrones is a C-.
