Nolan stood outside the pack house with two of his own warriors, watching as five large Range Rovers pulled up in front of him. Gamma Kit from the Lunar Ridge pack exited the vehicle closest to Nolan, greeting him cheerfully with a strong handshake. Nolan was surprised at the smile on the man's face. Ever since he had met him, he had been angry, belittling and generally quite rude. But Nolan was a professional so he welcomed the gesture.

"You and your team are very welcome to Black Mountain", Nolan said as he shook the man's hand. Kit stood 6 feet tall, slightly shorter than Nolan, and with what Nolan considered to be a terrible and unnecessarily large bushy moustache. He had the cut of a man who was once very fit but had gone slightly to seed. His brown hair was slicked back away from his pale, podgy face. Kit had the swagger of a man who was at the top of his game and yet he was renowned for being anything but.

"How was the drive", Nolan said.

"Oh fine fine. Not even 4 hours", batting his question away. He motioned towards the group of men who had now exited the cars. There had been five men in each car.

"These are some of my most experienced warriors. We're looking forward to meeting the elusive Alex Fury this week. He has been absent every time we've booked training and, no offence", Nolan knew he was about to hear something offensive, "we're here to learn from the best".

Nolan smiled inwardly. He had been keeping a secret. Gamma Kit had always assumed, through his own ignorance, that Alex was a man. And Nolan had never corrected him. The man was a sexist pig and Nolan had been waiting for years for the moment he would be forced to accept that the expert level training and practices that his pack had paid good money to train in, had been concocted by a female.

Nolan heard his warriors whispering beside him.

"Did he say 'him'", one whispered quizzically to the other.

Nolan turned and winked to the two of them. They smiled and put their heads down, hiding their own smirks.

"Alex has devised a training plan that kicks off immediately Gamma Kit", Nolan explained, "Your warriors are to enter the forest using your normal procedures and formations to track a rogue. Alex will be assessing each team so we can specifically hone in on improvements or areas for further development".

"Excellent, excellent", Kit exclaimed. "Just straight into it. Well my guys won't disappoint. Alright, let's get them ready".

Kit called the warriors to attention and, along with Nolan, explained the parameters of the exercise. They split up into their groups, all deciding to shed their clothes and shift into their wolves before entering the forest at different areas around the pack house.

One of Nolan's warriors raised a gun in the air and fired a single bullet to let Alex and the teams know that the exercise had begun. Nolan and his own two warriors smiled at each other as they watched the teams.

"She is going to eat them alive", Nolan said and they shared a laugh before splitting up and starting their perimeter walk to begin their own assessments.
