《Consequences [BxB] (Edited)》Chapter 13

Hunter POV
I paced around in my room with my thoughts all jumbled and mixed up in my head. Biting my finger as my nerves boiled over. It was a total mess inside there. I kept on thinking about him every single time I closed my eyes, his boy face was there. The way he would constantly cry at all the things I did to him, the way he would always cover for me for reasons unknown to me.
That blond hair, pale fair skin and boyish blue eyes, was all I could think about.
I felt him when he passed through the borderline, well not exactly him per say, but I felt a new presence and I could tell it was him. I had established a close connection and link with all the wolves in my pack on the day I received the title, so naturally I could sense all their wolves except for his. It felt foreign and yet, familiar at the same time.
In the midst of my severe thinking I heard a knock on my door. I mentally groaned and went to open it. My father stood in the doorway looking more excited than I'd ever seen him. He practically looked like a child on Christmas morning.
Of course he'd be.. Drew was back..
"Yes?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Are you going to the birthday celebration? If so, are you wearing that?" He asked pointing a finger to my sweatpants and plain white T shirt.
His question had me thinking.
Did he even want me there? What would he say when he saw me? Would he forgive me? Would he be angry and lash out at me?
"Yeah I'll be there soon.. go ahead"
"Just make sure you're there before midnight, the ceremony will start then. We can't have a Beta with no Alpha, got it?" He asked and walked away, since he wasn't really waiting for my answer. I closed my door and ran to my closet, throwing out clothes after clothes.
What was I going to wear?

After scratching through my clothes for what felt like hours trying to find something that would make me look appealing to him. I finally pulled out black jeans and a white V neck. I looked at the time and saw I was already an hour late.
Shit!
I ran my fingers through my hair and sprayed as much cologne on my body as I could till I chocked from all the spray.
I had to make a good impression!
I exited my house and took a deep breath as I walked towards their house. It was relatively huge for two people, okay four people since Jake and Henry lived there as well seeing as Jake refused to leave his Uncle all alone in that big house and well, Henry would follow him almost everywhere. Every since those two became mates they were inseparable. They literally went everywhere together.
I wouldn't be surprised if they even went to the bathroom together.
It didn't take me long to get there, since their house was exactly a minute away from mine. I took a deep breath for the second time and stared at the door. Feeling my nerves begin to go hay wire.
Why do I feel so nervous?
I was about to knock on the door, when I heard footsteps coming my way. I dropped my hand and waited. I expected him to answer the door, it being his party and all, but instead Jake opened the door and had a sly smile on his face, as he leaned on the door frame.
"Well, look who finally showed up" he said as he chuckled.
What was so funny.
" Well you aren't the only one late.. but come in" he said as he moved out of my way so I could go in. I turned my head towards him wondering who he was talking about.
"Who has gotten here yet?"
He didn't say anything and just shrugged as he walked towards Henry who had something on a plate for him. He thanked him and pressed a kiss to his lips as the two walked out onto the lawn.

The house had been more crowded than I imagined it to me. Almost every member of the pack was there. Old and young. Pups and teenagers. Everyone . There were people and food everywhere I looked, all distracting me from the one person I really wanted to see. I looked through all the faces, scanning the crowd for that blond hair I remember all to well and to my dismay, I couldn't spot him anywhere.
I turned around to get some air, when I smelt something. It was faint at first, making me narrow my eyes and believe I had imagine it, but after a second it grew stronger. It smelt like vanilla and strawberries mixed into one, almost like some kind of ice cream. It was so intoxicatingly sweet that it took me a minute or so to recognize what it was.
I had turned eighteen last month and hadn't found my mate yet so I was convinced that it wasn't anyone in my pack, or maybe I was one of those wolves that didn't have a mate.
But this smell told me otherwise. I could feel my wolf jump with excitement upon sensing his mate. I followed the smell, leading me to the porch. As I walked closer, the stronger the smell grew.
Please let it be him.. please let it be him...please let it be Drew.
I slowly pushed open the door and caught sight of a head of chocolate brown hair from the back. He was leaning against the railing almost like he was in pain. I frowned when I didn't see the blond hair I was looking for, upset that my mate wasn't him but my thoughts were halted when I heard the man's voice. A voice so extremely manly. So beautiful and sexy at the same time. So seductive.
"I knew it was you all along" he said. His voice was so smooth and sturdy at the same time. It pulled me in with every sound.
He slowly turned around with a smile on his face. When his eyes met mine, his smile complete fell replaced with his wide eyes that held nothing but shock and horror. He looked so disappointed when he saw me. It took me a millisecond to recognize who he was since he looked so different now, but those eyes were the same. The same pretty eyes I remembered all these years and my heart raced uncontrollably.
"No.. please no.."
He whispered as he shook his head and widened his eyes. I don't know why but it felt like a million knives were being driven through my heart all at once. The moment I had dreamt about for three years had finally come true, only to be shattered in an instant. I moved closer to him only for him to move a step back. He kept shaking his head like he couldn't believe what was happening. He turned around and jumped over the balcony. I gasped and ran towards it, only to find him running towards the woods.
I turned around and chased after him. I followed his scent that led me to the river. I could feel my wolf whimpering at the slight refusal our mate showed us, but it wasn't as though I could blame him. I had been horrible to him all our lives and I could only blame myself for the hate he showed me.
I finally came to a stop when I heard sobbing. I stood behind a tree and peeped over only for my heart to stop.
There he was, crying in the arms of someone else. He held so tightly onto the man that was hugging him. He buried his face inside the man's neck and cried. It didn't take a miracle for me to recognize the man. His charcoal black hair and sapphire pale blue eyes that glowed in the dark, gave it all away. The man was none other than..
Elliot.

Follow him as he explores this new world, looks for answers, and tries to remember his name. Authors Note: This is a side-project I started after being widely stumped trying to write another book. It is my first attempt to actually post something I've written online, but don't be afraid to be brutal. Improving myself is why I wanted to write this in the first place. I know the VRMMO genera is a bit over-done but hopefully it has a few good stories left to tell. Warning: This is written in the first person. Will contain brutal fight-scenes, bad pop-culture references, a ton of MMO-tropes, and possibly some light sex if the MC doesn't screw it up too badly. Marakar
Far from the exploration he yearned to go on, Rae, the Kijah prince, finds himself in the middle of the impending war between Kijah'dar and Ga'ani. Unknown to him, or to the rest of the states, the Kijah Magister plots to overthrow the queen, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his plans. Marakar is a fantasy adventure series about the island states of Mar’narana (with focus primarily on the two states, Kijah'dar and Ga'ani). Tensions between the big players are rising, with more and more plots getting revealed, and powers are unexpectedly shifting. As the string of seemingly unconnected events grows taut, the smaller nations suddenly find themselves into the midst of things, struggling with the sudden shifting of their boards. On a more meta note, I am trying to develop two storylines parallel to each other. As you might have noticed, odd-numbered chapters are very different from even-numbered chapters. That’s because those are the two different storylines; odd-numbered chapters are in the present, while even-numbered ones are in the past. Once the two eventually meet I'll continue with just the present storyline. This story can also be found here where it currently updates every other Sunday (about twice a month). Feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read. :) tw/cw list (please take care of your mental health! Don't force yourself to read these chapters if they may harm you). -------> Chapter 14: hate crime description.

Body Modifier: Energy Required
Aria ate a fish. [Energy: 2] Finished, he ate another fish. [Energy: 2] ... [Energy: 3] Without realizing it, he had finished 5 fishes. He felt a little bloat, he lay down with a full stomach, occasionally burped. Even though he didn't want to be a big lump of meatball, he still had to keep eating. At least until he found another way to accumulate energy. After all, if he didn't take advantage of his advantages, wasn't that stupid? His mind then drifted imagining which one he would use the energy for. Should he use it on his eyes, so it shot a beam of laser, like a certain bespectacled mutant? Should he use it on his bones, so it regenerated infinitely, like a certain character from an anime? Should he use it on his brain, so he became a genius, like a scientist with a bald head? Or should he use it on his vital organ, so that he became the manliest person in the world? While he was imagining things, suddenly his ears felt pinched. "Ouch!" "Didn't mom already say you can't play with fire, you brat?!" There he realized, knowing that no matter what he chose, he was still a child in front of his mother.

Greene's Monthly Contest
most writers don't have enough recognition. most of them only win awards based on the general aspects of a story; genre or theme, judged by the same things, not appreciating the genius behind the chapters. same awards, same results.--and we disagree with that.
