Sahil crushed the bottle in his hand as he watched Srishti smiling and laughing with a man he knew too well. Why the hell was she smiling so much?
They were currently in one of the business parties and it seemed she was enjoying it more than him. He hated going to such parties but for formalities, he had to.
It had been two months since he had introduced Srishti as his wife in front of the media. Ayaansh was still an exception because only the news of her was enough to create a havoc. Questions were bombarded, stories were made and a lot more which was of course handled by Rohit.
It wasn't easy for her but she was strong and when she wasn't, he was there beside her. Right now, as he watched her having a conversation with Mr. Kim─well yes, Kim Taehyung, a famous businessman from South Korea with charming visuals, he couldn't help but feel the jealousy course through his veins. No wonder the man attracted attention from every woman there including his own wife. (a/n : honestly not a bts fan but I find V cute besides jungkook)
He now hated bringing her here because she wasn't even sparing a single glance in his direction. Fuck this party. With this thought he was about to march towards them when someone stepped in his line of vision.
"Jealousy, jealousy," Aditya sang to purposely piss him off, "started following me─" Sahil stomped on his foot clearly annoyed by his singing and Aditya cried out for help.
Some people turned their attention to them as Sahil smirked and Aditya glared at him, "I will make sure to introduce some more people to your wife." He enjoyed watching the smirk disappearing from Sahil's face the next second.
It was his turn to glare. "I will kill you before that." The two men continued glaring at each other until someone interrupted. "You two seem to be in love." The person slurred and both their heads snapped in his direction.
They gave him a disgusted look while he stumbled off mumbling something under his breath. Sahil moved away from Aditya as fast as he could however a evil smile formed on Aditya's face.
He took a step closer, "Don't be shy now. You know you can step out of the closet. We can finally tell our wives the truth." Sahil knew it was one of his drama but at the party? Seriously?
He gritted his teeth, "Shut the fuck up, Aditya." but it only caused the latter to grin more widely. He so enjoyed annoying the man in front of him.
"What? I've been waiting for you to accept our relationship but you just keep pushing me away." He sniffed, hiding his laugh as he stared down at his shoes.
"Fine," Sahil suddenly gave him a tight smile which confused Aditya. "let's go." Saying so, he held Aditya's hand and started dragging him.
Aditya panicked, "what the fuck! Where are you taking me?" He trusted Sahil to ruin his reputation here in front of everybody.

"I'm finally coming out of the closet. Just as you wanted. So why are you scared? I'll declare my love right here in front of everyone." Horrified by his answer, Aditya pulled his hand away with a jerk before running in the opposite direction.
Not able to control himself, Sahil let out a laugh as he shook his head. He was of course messing with his best friend but it was honestly fun watching him getting scared.
Sahil looked around to locate his wife and found her with Zevah. He took off in their direction and found Srishti giving him a smile as he reached there.
"Why are you smiling?" He asked, snaking a hand around her waist and pulling her close. Zevah gagged turning around and leaving the lovebirds while those two didn't even notice.
Srishti raised her eyebrows, "What? I can't smile at my husband?" Sahil smirked at her reply before he gently brushed his knuckle on her cheek. "Well, you can smile only at you husband." She blushed and it only boosted his ego.
The music started and couples started swaying to it including Aditya and Zevah. Srishti smiled at the duo as she rested her head on Sahil's chest.
"Sahil," he looked down at her as her eyes focused ahead. "let's dance." She grinned up at him and he gave her a blank look. "I don't dance. You know that." her smile turned into a frown and she stepped away from him.
Giving him a glare, she lied through her teeth, "then I'll go dance with someone else." it was just to make him jealous but the infuriating man just smirked. "You wouldn't dare, sweetheart." This annoyed and even though she was just teasing him before, now she would definitely do that.
She looked around to find someone and just then someone lightly tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and her eyes twinkled seeing Mr. Kim but somebody else's eyes were spitting fire.
"Would you like to dance?" He asked with a smile, his palm laid out in front of her. Srishti swore she swooned over his smile. Without looking at Sahil she answered, "Sure." she placed her hand in his and they were off to the dance floor.
Sahil clenched his jaw in annoyance at the turn of events and for being too egoistic, because now he had to watch his wife dance with somebody else.
While Srishti was having fun on the dance floor, she could feel her husband's eyes piercing through her side. She pursed her lips and stopped herself from smiling as she swayed to the music.
"I hope I don't get murdered tonight." Taehyung remarked as he looked at Srishti. She gave him a confused stare which made him chuckle. "Well, I can feel your husband planning to murder me and bury me somewhere from the way he's burning holes into the side of my head." He smirked as she flushed but the green eyed monster was flaring his nostrils.
She felt embarrassed at his statement, her cheeks heating up. "I─uh─he won't─" She stuttered and he chuckled again. "Gwiyeopda," He muttered quietly to himself while Srishti was clueless.

Before she could ask what he meant, they were interrupted, "Excuse me, can I have my wife back?" Sahil asked with a tight smile on his face while his hands were itching to pull her out of his arms.
Taehyung stepped back and smiled politely before leaving from there. Srishti frowned as Sahil took the former's place and he narrowed his eyes at her reaction. "Well, aren't you happy to see your husband." He said sarcastically and she glared at him.
"You were the one who didn't dance, then why are you here now?" She fired back and he clenched his jaw, pulling her close with a jerk. "Maybe because I didn't like you dancing with someone else." Sahil gritted out and she scoffed.
Not wanting to create a scene, she stayed quiet for the rest of the night but definitely interacted the least with her husband who hated every bit of it.
When they returned, Ayaansh was already asleep and Rohit was dozing off on the couch. Sahil was going to wake him up but Srishti stopped him, "Let him sleep. He must be tired." Saying so she left for the room.
Sighing, Sahil followed her. He knew she was upset and it was annoying for him as well. He might have reacted unlikely because of his jealousy but that didn't mean he misbehaved or spoke rudely. Why was she so mad?
Srishti changed her clothes and stepped out of the bathroom. She knew she was overreacting however she had her reasons. Without looking his way, she was going to climb on the bed when he held her hand, "What's wrong?" He asked calmly and she looked away.
"Srishti, what's wrong?" Sahil asked again, his tone a little stern. She took a deep breath and looked at him, "Do you think I'll cheat on you?" It was a blunt question which had him gape at her.
Bewildered, he left her hand. "Are you fucking out of your mind?" he was fuming and she knew as she stared into his eyes. "Then why did you look so insecure when I danced with someone else tonight?" She crossed her hands waiting for his answer.
"Because I was jealous. I don't like seeing you with someone else. Isn't that clear enough?" For him it was plain and clear picture but she could find meaning in that picture.
Srishti stared into his eyes intently, "you are lying. You are still insecure, Sahil. What is it? Why can't you tell me?" Clenching his jaw, he looked away this time.
It was both annoying and flattering that she could read him this easily. His tense back, further tensed when she placed her hand there. He let her turn him to face her but still refused to look in her eyes.
Srishti wanted to hit the stubborn man but she decided to stay calm. "If you don't tell me now, I will leave the room." That got him to look at her and she mentally chuckled.
"I just ─when I see you smiling and laughing with someone else, I can't help but realise that you deserved so much better than what you got. I'm just not good enough for you and despite knowing the truth, I can't let you go. I want you to choose me every time and if that is called selfish then I don't care. You are only mine." when he looked at her, she was smiling and it confused him.
Srishti held his face between her palms before squishing his face. "You are sooo cuteee." he immediately frowned at that and she chuckled. "Sahil, I don't care about what I could get. All that I have now, is enough for me and thank you for not giving up because if you would, I will kill you." She warned him and he rolled his eyes before moving her hands away.
"Whatever. But still you need to stop looking at that man with your dreamy eyes. I will cut all my business relationships with him if you continue to ogle at him." He grumbled and Srishti gasped at his threat. "What did he ever do to you? He's such a cute, handsome, hot ─" her words were muffled as he shut her up with his palm over her mouth.
"Alright, I don't know any Kim from now on." Sahil declared and she laughed, nodding her head and trying to take off his palm. "Ywu cwan't." he understood but pretended not to hear.
Srishti couldn't stop laughing at his jealousy but was relieved to know what he actually felt. Their relationship was not the simplest but it wasn't complicated either. All it needed was communication and understanding. On days when he would be upset, she cheered him up and when she was angry, he made it up. Efforts from both sides were needed and she was glad their relationship was only growing.
"Uh sir, can I leave now?" They were startled by Rohit's voice and found him standing at the door with his droopy eyes. Srishti felt bad for the guy and nudged Sahil for the same. "Sure, I'll call you tomorrow." He nodded and Rohit could feel tears forming in his eyes. He knew he had no rest written in his fate.
Sahil's eyes widened slightly seeing his state and he immediately corrected himself, "I'm kidding. You can take a leave tomorrow and rest." Honestly, this was the first time he saw Rohit crying because before this, he has been given more challenging tasks and never complained once. Sahil would never admit it but he would never find a P. A better than Rohit.
Maybe he didn't pay attention but despite having the worst childhood, he was always surrounded by people who cared for him. His grandfather, Aditya, Rohit, Srishti and even Zevah. He knew he will always have them beside him and he couldn't be more glad. Life was a lesson to learn and it surely taught him a lot.

Tim the Engineer
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
