On their way out of the restaurant, a conversation between a group of a young men bring up her attention once again.

"He is just lucky to be born as a prince. Or everyone is going to beat his ugly face!" A guy said a bit loud that everyone around them could hear. They praised the man for his braveness for talking about the second prince.

"Poor his consort getting an ugly man kissing her! Trust me he is bad at kissing because no one date an ugly man! Pffftt HAAHAHAHAHA!"

"Yeah! Duke Su is just a heartless beast who is disfigured!" The group then laugh wholeheartedly.

Li Zhi Ming stood there clenching his fist. He wanted to fight them but he will only expose his identity. And once his royal father found out he will be mad.

Imperial family shouldn't expose their identity except they are already well known like Li Zhao due to his mask. No one in the country use mask except him.

The people has gone over the limit. Li Zhao is the one who took care of the country and people while going for war over and over. But here they are laughing over his appearance.

"All.." Li Zhi Ming voice was replaced by a high pitched feminine voice. He look at his side to found that Xu Ling Ai has missing.

"Yaish!!! Who are you to belittle His highness?!" Her small voice change instantly. It was high pitched and loud.

Listening to their conversation make her feel like she is a coward. How could she just listen to them?

The crowd attention turn to the petite lady who screamed on her top of lung. She seem so mad that her face turn red.

"Who are you crazy lady? Just mind your own business!" One of the man smirk at Xu Ling Ai. They are indeed surprised seeing a new face in town. Pretty, they thought.

"Come here." Her finger snapped at them. The men walk lazily towards Xu Ling Ai direction. They might be taller a bit than her but she won't back down without a fight.

"I will ask you one more time. Who are you to judge someone by their outer appearance? Are you perfect? And as clear as I could see His Highness is way handsome than all of you." Her index finger point at the man face with her face turn disgusted.

"Ugly man kissing me? Huh? Let me tell you something. Li Zhao is a very good kisser and anyone would never kiss anyone because your mouth was totally rotten!" Xu Ling Ai laugh at them with a challenging face on display with her arms folded.

While ladies around there feel so embarrassed by Xu Ling Ai's exposure of the kissing detail. Women are supposed to be shy talking about bedrooms things. But Xu Ling Ai shamelessly bragged about it in front of men.

But they feel weird. Why would Li Zhao kiss this lady in front of them? Is she his mistress?

While the men who listen to Xu Ling Ai's insults started to feel annoyed and angry by her mocking tone. This girl got a tongue of snakes.

They look at the girl in front of him who dress like a well-off lady but without any manner that a lady should have.

"Now I know. You must be his mistress right? Would you like to listen to our new chant for Duke Su? He is a beast. He is a beast. He is a beast." They suddenly chanting the sentence like a song.

"Stop it." Xu Ling Ai warn them but they chant it louder.

Her angry limit finally explode. Her crazy side wanting to lash out. She balled her finger into a fist and drove them through one of the man's jaw. They could literally hear the sound of jaw cracking.

All of the spectators including Li Zhi Ming was totally dumbfounded that they watch her with jaw drop. She actually punch a man!

"You bitch!" That man slapped Xu Ling Ai in the face made Li Zhi Ming gain his conscious. He was too late to react.

Li Zhi Ming rushed to Xu Ling Ai side who fell to the ground after the hard slap she received.

"Xu Ling Ai!" Li Zhi Ming was about to give the man a lesson but Xu Ling Ai held him back.

"I'm okay. This is between me and him. Don't get involve." Feeling a bit dizzy but she stood up firmly holding her cheek. She could feel blood oozing from her lips.

The man was about to get near Xu Ling Ai again but Li Zhi Ming stood in front of her.

"How dare you hit Duke Su's Princess Consort! Do you wish a death?" Li Zhi Ming regret for not taking action early.

The man's friend quickly hold the man who slap Xu Ling Ai. They are afraid that it will be bring a lot of attention.

"You think I will believe it?! She couldn't be outside because her husband who is a cruel bastard monster will lock her inside of the manor!" That man screamed. He couldn't believe that he got punch by a woman.

Xu Ling Ai who feel hurt on her face while listening to his mouth blabbering groundless facts, anger rise again.

She step from Li Zhi Ming behind and kicked the man in between his legs. Where the sun doesn't shine.

"Ooofff." Men around there who could feel the pain exclaim loudly. They feel so pity for the man. Who ask him to talk a lot?

Even Li Zhi Ming were shocked by the sight. He himself could sense the pain. He then pull Xu Ling Ai back to his side. He hold her still not wanting her to fight again.

"Hey man! You should feel honored to be the first person to taste my slap and kick since I arrive here." Xu Ling Ai smirked like she is not in pain at the man.

'Li Zhao pardon me for holding your consort. She is too wild.' He silently wish his brother will never know about this.

"Miss even though this young man talk badly about His Highness Duke Su, you have no right to hit him. That is very unlikely lady of you. A lady do not use violent." A lady around Xu Ling Ai's age interrupted. She is Mu Xuan Er.

She is the royal physician's daughter. Mu Xuan Er don't know Xu Ling Ai is Li Jin Feng's consort. All of the people have never seen Xu Ling Ai except the royal family and the minister.

"Who said I have no right? His Highness is my husband and I have every right to defend my own husband from your sick accusation that he did not commit!" Her lips hurts from talking too much but continue anyway. Mu Xuan Er was too shocked by the new fact and kept her silence.

Xu Ling Ai glare at all of them who trust the stupid news without investigating it. If looks could kill, all of them would be seven feet underground.

They are starting to believe that the lady in front of them is the Princess Consort. By the way she firmly defend Li Zhao proves it.

"Do you have any prove?" A middle age woman interrupted. All of them seems to feel very curious about Xu Ling Ai's identity.

"Why do I need to prove myself? I am his wife..." She was about to argue more but Li Zhi Ming interrupted her.

"She is my brother's Princess Consort and this lord can confirm it." The soft tone that he spoke with Xu Ling Ai before has change into a more manly and strong voice.

He then take out his jade. It was stated there, Duke Huai. Li Zhi Ming had no any other choice. He couldn't let Xu Ling Ai lose.

Gasps can be heard. They started to greet Li Zhi Ming by addressing him as Your Highness.

"Miss. I believe this is yours." A small child hand over the jade that Li Zhao gave Xu Ling Ai.

"Thank you!" Xu Ling Ai bend down a bit and pat the boy head. The jade clearly belong to Duke Su.

Murmur started to take place around them. They couldn't believe that she is actually the Princess Consort.

"Don't pretend to be surprise. I told you earlier but you chose not to believe me." She rolled her eyes at them.

"Princess Consort we are very..." A man wanting to apologise but Xu Ling Ai pretend that she didn't heard it.

"Shoves your apologies down. I don't need it. Now listen very carefully. I want to clarify that His Highness did not abuse me nor did he hit me. He has been treating me with utmost care. His Highness is not as cruel as you thought. So stop assuming things."

"Also I want to warn all of you. Stop treating him like he has no worth. He has been taking care of all of your safeness without any complaint but here all of you judging him like there's no tomorrow. Him wearing a masks doesn't give you the right to judge him. What's wrong with him wearing a mask? Stop judging from outer appearance. Is there any rules state that it was a sin wearing mask?" No answer can be heard from the crowd.

"And my man can wear any masks that he want and you better keep your filthy mouth away." All of them couldn't said anything. They are afraid of her wrath.

Some of her words were foreign to them even her speech was totally informal but they are all silent. Somehow feeling guilty.

Li Zhi Ming look at Xu Ling Ai with admiration. A new feeling arouse inside him.

The way she defended his second brother made him envy. The way she scolded all of them like a mother figure surprise him.

"Ahh.. One more thing. Whoever tell His Highness to step down from his post as a general better meet me later. Just want to talk. Don't be afraid. Duke Su Manor will be open twenty-four hours." She smirked evilly at them before dragging Li Zhi Ming away from there.

The people finally could release a relief breath once Xu Ling Ai left. They didn't know that His Highness Duke of Su had married a very daring lady.

She was totally opposite of what a lady supposed to be. Now, their feelings has changed. They feel pity for Li Zhao marrying such an ill-tempered lady.
