This is my first book on Wattpad! Began on December 7th, 2017, roughly three weeks after I actively joined Wattpad, after drunkenly creating an account way back in 2014.
Currently drinking some horrible prune juice as I type this, ugh, it's so bad but I can't stop drinking it. Is that how Vodka is?
This A/N is here after already publishing 27 chapters. I had no idea I was supposed to do one of those when I was beginning this book tbh.
SO Listen up!
1) First chapters are so immature LOL, like my writing legit got better after a couple of chapters, so bear with me. I'll edit, once it's completed, okay lovers? Stick with your girl,
(New: When you reach like chapter 27, you're going to be like, "Are you sure it's the same damn bish who wrote this book from the start??" Sjsjsj Idk why I added this)
UNLESS
2) You can't handle mature content. I'm not talking BDSM stuff(NO, my little brother pops up once in a while). But it's still got some "Mature" content.
3) Don't steal my work, like baby, that's not right. Wattpad checks those things, and they're gonna detect you, and it's not going to be pretty. (But you still will be)
4) Some latter chapters are triggering, containing triggering matters. I put Warnings on them. Take note!
5) Please don't be negative. You can be funny, constructive, emotional or conversational, but please don't be negative. I've got a wee little heart that can't take negativity. Yes, I'm emotional.... but to some point-.-
6) You might feel tempted to jump into conclusions as you read, but don't. Hear the full backstory first (Ref to latter chapters. You'll know when you get there, trust me)
7)I LOVE YOU FOR GIVING MY BOOK A CHANCE (get ready for the ride I have prepared for you)

CHAPTER 1
"Hurry it up ladies! I want this house spotless in no time!" Mrs. Benson ordered her maids as she rushed out to the gardens to make sure everything was alright, "He is on his way. We have an hour only."
Mrs. Benson's 21 year old son had just graduated from college and she was throwing him a Welcome party. There was food, drinks, music and it was happening in the garden of their mansion.
"Put that tray on the other table." She told one of her maids and supervised the entire preparations.
She had not seen her only son for a whole year and she had missed him dearly.
Once the preparations were done, she gathered all her ten maids in the second biggest hall and lined them up.
"My son hasn't been home for a complete year now, so I'm going to remind you all of the rules again. No engaging in long conversations with him, especially when you have neglected your duties. No staring at him, no daydreaming, and yes, I know some of you did when he was home last year. Don't entertain him, report back to me if something goes wrong. And know your place in this house. You are maids, nothing more, nothing less."
"Yes Madam." The ten of them replied simultaneously.
"And there are some changes."
Mrs. Benson told the first three ladies, whose ages ranged from 22 to 27, to step forward. "Nothing changes for you three. You are in charge of preparing breakfast, lunch, and supper for the entire family. How you choose to rotate it amongst yourselves is up to you three. Step back."
Dana, Tess and Bo stepped back as they were told to.
Mrs. Benson gestured the next four to step forward. "You, four, are in charge of keeping the house tidy always. Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, yes you know your jobs. Nothing changes for you four as well."
Emma and Ella, the only twin maids and Rachel and Mabel all stepped back after Mrs. Benson gestured them to.
"Now, Brianna, you won't be helping out in the kitchen anymore. You will attend to me and my husband. You and Katy are our personal maids from today. Is it clear?"
"Yes, Madam," Brianna and Katy both replied with a wide grin. It seemed they had preferred their new chores to their previous. They were both the same age; 21.

"And now to you, Lara Keegan."
Lara stepped forward.
"You will be my son's personal maid. I know you don't know my son personally because you came a few months after he had left but the rules still apply to you. You are in charge of sending him his breakfast if he doesn't want to eat downstairs with us, tidying up his room, bathroom, and sending his dirty laundry to the laundry room. Don't engage in long conversations with him when you should be working. Don't entertain him and report back to me if you have a problem with your assigned duties. Are we clear?"
"Yes, Madam." Lara had her hands fixed behind her.
"Good." Mrs. Benson replied, "You are all dismissed. The guests have begun to arrive. Please, attend to them."
The girls rushed out of the hall towards the garden to serve the guests. They had decided to divide themselves into groups; five attending to the guests and the other five delivering the food and drinks from the kitchen.
"I am so glad I'm not working in the kitchen anymore." Brianna commented while she put glasses of champagne on a tray in the kitchen.
"It's going to be worse, you know." Lara smirked at Brianna while she collected the tray from her to send to the garden.
"Not as bad as practically living in the kitchen to cook food for the morning, the afternoon, the evening, and whenever else these people will be hungry." Katy rolled her eyes, drawing a giggle from Brianna.
Lara smiled and walked out of the kitchen with the tray in her hands. She almost dropped it at the sound of Mrs. Benson's voice, "My son is here!"
All the maids in the kitchen rushed to be present, and Lara followed, carefully balancing the tray.
"Jayden!" Mrs. Benson exclaimed.
"Mom." The tall male figure hugged his mother, "It's so good to see you."
Lara couldn't get a good look at him because numerous people had started to surround him. But from afar, it seemed he had dark hair and had been wearing a pair of jeans and a black jacket over his shirt.
"Welcome, son." Mr. Benson embraced his son, his treasure.
The Bensons celebrated their son's return, and the maids couldn't stop jabbering about him.
"But he's trouble," Brianna contributed, "I know it for a fact."
"No, he's not." Dana disagreed. Dana was one of the maids assigned to the kitchen. "He has never even let a girl sleep over."
"That's a lie," the others disagreed, and Brianna testified,
"Remember that girl, what's her name- Mandy. She stayed over for one full week. I hate her so much. So obnoxious."
"But she's just like you, Brie." Dana said and the others laughed.
Brianna turned to Lara, "Lara, you have to get us all the deets. When you're cleaning his room and he's talking on the phone, or when he brings a girl over. You have to let us know."
"I don't want to get in trouble." Lara had a worried look on her face.
"But no one will find out. It's just you, me, Katy, the twins, and Dana- to prove her wrong."
"Yes, Lara, come on." The others urged and Lara sighed, then added whilst walking away,
"You guys are probably even wrong, though."
Brianna smirked at the other girls.
The girls remained in the kitchen, washing the dishes from the party and clearing the area. They chatted, sang, and joked around while they were at it.
After they were done, they all retired to their bedrooms. Lara shared a room with Rachel, who had fallen asleep minutes after they had retired. She wasn't much of a chatter.
Lara tried to sleep too, but she woke up two hours later. She checked the time on her alarm clock. It read 1:17 am.
"Crap." She was upset her sleep cycle had begun to deteriorate. It had happened three nights in a row and it was affecting her effectiveness.
She got out of her room to get a glass of water from the kitchen. Everyone else had retired to bed.
She was in a purple night dress with black bedroom slippers.
The lights in the main kitchen were off but there was enough natural light from outside to see her way about.
She poured herself a glass and drank it as she looked out the window. She turned around when she was done with the glass and shook when she laid eyes on Jayden.
He grabbed her arms when she almost tripped and held her gaze.
"You must be Lara."
