《His Personal Maid ✔》Chapter 27- JUSTICE IS PRIORITY

Over the past years Kira had grown to care for him, and he had grown to respect her.
His therapist had been replaced by another Mr. Benson had met in Italy, named Anna, and she was a lifesaver.
After one session Jayden had with Anna in his house, the next thing everyone knew was that he had turned himself in.
Dr. Anna had encouraged him to do what he felt was right, and his actions had left everyone in shock, especially his mom who had wanted to avoid court at all costs. She spent time blaming Dr. Anna for Jayden's 'impulsive decision', whereas Mr. Benson was more bent on complying with what the court would decide, in hopes of doing his best to resolve the issue.
Jayden had been assigned a free legal aid lawyer because of his age, and under the laws of age of accountability, investigation of his developmental background, review of documentation of all sessions with pasts and current therapists, evaluation of disorders, current circumstances, relationship with victim, and statements made by victim, it had been discovered that he suffered from generalised anxiety disorder, hyperarousal, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, which had all been factored from his diagnosis of PTSD. Sexual disorders, recidivism and borderline personality disorders had surfaced too.
In addition to the findings were a lack of credible therapeutical services and unsupervised custody by parents.
Jayden had been subjected to three years of probation, electronic tagging and curfew inclusive, five months of intensive community service, two years of credible psychotherapy and counselling, additional supervision by social services, and a two year domestic violence restraining order to stay at least fifty yards away from Kira.
A hefty crime victim compensation had been given to Kira to cover all future medical expenses pertaining to the therapy and counselling she would be needing, but she had insisted that she did not need therapy. She was remarked by the judge as being one of the strongest victims the court had ever come across. The crime victim compensation was granted to her nonetheless.
Lastly, due to the level of parental delinquency by Jayden's parents, they had been asked to pay a fine of $4,500 and had obtained six months of parental adequacy supervision, with legal consequences.

Kira had immediately left the mansion, with another compensation from Mr. Benson. She had met Jayden two years later at the court, where they were supposed to be present for the hearing after two years of effective restraint from Jayden.
He had smiled at her when it was over, and she had smiled back.
After the court hearing, they had never crossed paths with each other, or communicated regularly, until he had sent her the message of him needing help roughly three weeks ago.
***
PRESENT DAY
Jayden woke up in the passenger seat of a moving car, with a seat belt strapping him to his seat. He turned to his left and laid eyes on Kira behind the wheels. She was wearing a yellow tank top with blue skinny jeans and had her long dark hair in a neat ponytail.
They were on their way back from the prison after their encounter with Florence, to the motel Kira had booked for their two week preparation.
Now that they were finally done, they would be able to go back home the next day or the day after.
She turned to him and smiled, turning back to the road, "Oh, you're finally awake. I was wondering if I had to stop by Princess Aurora's before driving home."
Jayden chuckled and adjusted himself in his seat.
"Did you have a good sleep?" She asked, "How are you feeling?"
Jayden smiled and shifted his body in his seat so that he wouldn't have to struggle trying to keep his eyes on Kira, "Mhmm. Best sleep I ever had. I feel great."
His tired, sleepy voice was going to be a problem Kira hadn't known she was going to face. When had it ever gotten to her?
And as if unaware of the torture he was impacting, he drowsily sang, "I'm a Survivor! I'm gonna make it!"
He smirked at Kira who ignored him and fixed her eyes on the highway with a hand on the steering wheel and the other holding a plastic Starbucks cup with a straw, containing a full Cinnamon Dolce Latte.

"Aren't you gonna sing along?" He asked and poked her thigh with his index finger.
When she deliberately ignored him and placed her mouth on the straw, he continued to poke her, till it became ticklish and she laughed. "Someone seems excited."
Jayden grinned and snatched the cup from her hand, receiving a reprehensive look from her.
He sipped some of the latte and remarked, "This is really good stuff," then he sipped some more.
"Hey, don't finish that!" She tried to grab it with her eyes on the road.
Jayden mocked, "You'll get another one." He sipped some more.
Kira was about to rant on him, but when she glanced at him smiling so hard, revealing a faint dimple in his cheek as he sipped the latte, his dark hair ruffled as per usual, something warm spread throughout her system. The kind of warmth that temporarily replaced your burdens with euphoria, so much that when the warmth was gone, it carried the burdens away too.
Jayden was happy, and that made her happy too.
Years ago, they had both been yearning for the day they would experience happiness once more. Every ounce of it had been drained from their systems, and the fight for happiness seemed almost impossible to win.
Now that he had gained closure and had finally made peace with his past, nothing was in his way from achieving that aim.
Just then, Kira's phone which was in the right pocket of her jeans, had begun to ring.
She pulled it out, and upon laying eyes on the Caller ID, shut it down so the ringtone would cease playing, even though the phone was still ringing.
After fifteen seconds, her phone began to ring again, and Jayden couldn't help but notice her curse under her breath, and put the phone on 'silent' this time.
He wondered who could have gotten Kira to curse over just a phone call, but refrained from getting into her business, and quietly sipped on his latte.
-Her latte.
Her phone screen blinked once more with no sound since it was on 'silent', and she ignored it once more.
Silence prevailed for a couple of moments.
"Parker seems like a really nice person," Jayden said, after recounting the events from the prison, and Kira immediately nodded, thankful for the icebreaker,
"Yes, she does."
"I'm gonna let my lawyer look into it and see what he can do for her."
Kira turned to him, "That would be really kind of you."
He added, "Cuz I think her lawyer is only in it for the money he's probably extracting from her family. But Ruben is always passionate about his cases." Jayden referred to his lawyer who had defended him wholeheartedly during Florence's trial.
Jayden sipped some more of the latte, and Kira couldn't get over the fact that he was finally happy and free from his past.
The red light was on, so Kira took advantage of the moment and kissed him on his cheek.
He turned to her once she did that.
"Are you trying to kiss your way into getting the latte? Cuz you'd have to do better than that."
"I don't need to kiss you to get my latte back." Kira smirked, "There are other things."
Wait, what? Kira thought. What does that even mean?
She looked away from Jayden's surprised gaze and out the window as she began to whistle.
She glanced back at him and noticed he was still staring, with an amused smile on.
Why was a simple gaze from him making her tummy do flips? It never did.
What he said next certainly caught her off guard.
"Let's do something crazy."
She blinked, "Huh?"
"Let's do something crazy while we're on the road."
"What could we possibly..." She trailed off, then added, whilst pointing at the cars in front of theirs, "We're kinda in the middle of traffic."
"Sucks, right?" He mentioned, as he obliviously started to pull off his khaki jacket.
