"So....Kate. Do you and the proxies hate KageKao or something?"
My question lingered in the air for a while after I had asked The Chaser what seemed to be concerning me.
I didn't see what was wrong with the guy; at least not yet, but he couldn't be that bad. Even if we was bad, I still liked the guy. I sorta felt bad for leaving Kage and Former behind, but I didn't want to get on Kate and the proxies bad side since I've just gotten to know them. Aaaaaaand I'd be working with them and all so....
Me and Kate both now sat on the bed in her room, playing video games together. Yes, the killer cult even had video games at their reach! Great! I guess Kate wanted to make up for her and the other proxies pulling me away from KageKao by inviting me to play video games and it was fine by me because I liked being a gamer. I also was stuck having to share a room with Kate until Slenders gave me my own room, so this was probably the only interesting thing we had to do.
Back to my question for her, I glance over at Kate after winning a level of our game and wait for my answer. She sighed and slowly set the controller in her lap , looking over at me and finally replying, "No, I don't hate KageKao, Walker. But I'm not saying I appreciate the way he is either. I don't want him to rub off on you and end up with you becoming like him."
"Kate...I'm my own person," I mutter, "KageKao has no control over my actions or my ways—it's all me, and I can decide for myself how I want to be."
Kate shrugged and stood up from the bed, beginning to pace around it. "You're going to be a proxy of my boss—Slender Man. He sees something in you, so of course he chose you. He wouldn't want a maniacal asshole like KageKao serving him, so I...I just don't want you to become like that. I want you to be just as good as me and the other proxies, when you become one." She twitched a bit and crooked her head at me.
I admit, it's kinda weird how Kate's already looking out for me like this when I've only been here for a day. Yet, I found it nice that she cared so much to even go as far as keeping someone away from me that could mess with my rep here.
All I could really say was, "I understand."
There was an awkward silence settled between us for a bit, and I shifted a little, trying to focus more on the game. However, the feeling of her eyes dawned on me made the task at hand harder than it needed to be.
Finally, Kate spoke up again, walking to turn off the TV and turning to me. "It's pretty late now. You and I should get some sleep."
"I agree," I reply, standing up from her bed. "Do you want me to sleep on the floor or something?"
"No, of course not! You can sleep on my bed and I'll...just sleep in my chair. It's actually pretty comfortable."
Kate's room actually wasn't that big for two I guess, but it looked pretty damn cool. The walls of her room were a dark gray, and there was a dim light above that left the place with a really cool dark glow. Her carpets were stripped white and gray, and her bed had the same color scheme, it's covers folded neatly by the pillow. A medium sized flat screen was placed against the wall where she had her game console hooked up, as well as a few games scattered around. And placed at the corner of the room was a huge desk with a desktop set atop and a stack of books along the sides. A singly spiny chair was pushed against the desk, and across the room by the door was a big comfy recliner chair with a scratchy circle symbol pillow (They call it "The Operator Symbol").

"That's not really fair, Chaser. I'd rather you sleep comfortably on your own bed," I say, looking at her after she suggested sleeping in her chair. "Besides, I take a while before I actually fall asleep." Kate shook her head and went over to her chair, already sitting back and claiming it as her spot.
"I call this spot. You've gotta take the bed now."
I roll my eyes and sigh, sitting back down on her bed and pulling the covers out of their neatly folded style over my body. It seemed none of us were concerned about night clothes or anything like that—we just wanted to sleep.
I admit, I was tired after the day I had, you know, being kidnapped by a faceless guy with spaghetti tendrils on his back, getting told I'm gonna have to live with online murder stories for the rest of my life, getting my arm nearly ripped off by a realistic dog file, making friends with masked psychopaths and what not. There was much more to look forward to in the days to come, and I needed all the energy I could obtain to be able to deal with it all.
Sleep doesn't come easy for me; I'm used to actually going to bed at around one or two in the morning on a school day , and I take even longer time to actually fall asleep. Being in the new environment I was in, sleeping was probably going to be a much harder task than usual.
I rest my head against the pillows on the bed and look over at Kate who was just now getting comfortable in her chair, her covers wrapped around her tightly. She had taken off her mask, so I stared at her blue eyes and her tired face. She looked so normal; if you ignored her weird, corrupted looking movements, her frightening mask, and the low growling sounds she seemed to make sometimes, you wouldn't think she was a notorious killer at all. I smile a bit and watch The Chaser a little while more before my brain switched to other thoughts.
I glance to the ceiling and I start thinking about my old bed, and my room, and then one thought leads another, and I'm suddenly reminiscing on my life at home and my family again.
I wondered what my parents were doing now...were they searching for me at this very moment? Were there other people looking for me? Did they suspect that I ran away? Are they even truly worried?
I think that they would be? Otherwise if not, fuck them. But, unfortunate for my parents, they'll never know the truth of what happened to me or where I am. They mightn't see a trace of me ever again.
I heave a heavy sigh and pull my covers up more to cover over my nose. It was comfy and warm, yet I felt lost and cold inside. I had a lot of fun today actually, despite the mishaps in the beginning...but...I missed my real home, and I felt that I slightly wanted to leave this place. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty great here! Well, somethings were, but it felt like I just threw my whole entire life away, following Slender Man into the woods.
'Come on (Y/N), this isn't a good time to feel homesick...'
I linger on the thought and remain still, staring to no where in particular for what felt like more an hour. I heard the light snoring of Kate and I glimpse over to her, seeing that she was fully covered by her sheets and kept steady breathing. Fast asleep.

I'm bored, and I still haven't fallen asleep yet. I gradually pull the covers from the bed off of me and slip off the bed, into my shoes, still eyeing Kate closely.
Maybe I could go take a "walk". You know, just to see how far I'll get before someone realises. Might be fun.
Even if I got caught, at least I would've had a little fun trying to get out. If it brings death, well it wasn't that long ago I was asking for it. Maybe I'd get to go back home to see my folks. That'd be something.
Yeah it was a dumb idea overall, but you know how it is, being a typical (Y/N) and all.
You could say I was in some sort of a trance as I did this; I wasn't thinking rationally, I was just doing it because of one thought—seeing home again. I was feeling extraordinarily homesick. I wasn't worried about the extreme risks of my actions. The killers will eventually find out I'm gone and they might search for me, Slender Man could kill me for treachery towards them, I could accidentally lead them straight to my family and get them killed.
Yep, just a typical day of being born stupid.
But not one of those possibilities bothered me much as I selfishly stepped out of Kate's room into the dark, empty hall of the upstairs area.
Sure, some of the killers were pretty cool, and maybe I had made friends with Kate and KageKao, but my mind was telling me one single day could not possibly outdo the past X years of my life.
I crept silently down the hall and down the stairs, into the living room. No one was around or up it seemed, so I continued on, heading for the front door. The only thing live around was the TV that was still on for some reason, but I didn't mind it since no one was out watching it...
Once I reach the doors, I turn and take a glance at the mansion. "This is either gonna be my last time here or I'm just gonna come back prepared to get executed," I thought, looking blankly at the huge house. Ah welp, I chose death anyways. This was all forced.
Still a dumbass horror movie type of move but honestly when do I ever think and not make stupid decisions. My mind was probably still scrambled from all the things this boiled egghead put me through today.
Anyway, the silence and stillness of the place confirmed my okay to sneak out, and so I did, carefully pushing open the big doors and stepping out into the cold night.
I didn't shiver much since the clothes I was wearing was pretty warm, but I went quickly forwards into the night, determined to get out of the woods as fast as I could. Or at least get anywhere not near the manor.

I woke up in the middle of the night again—or early morning. It's a habit I've had for quite a while now, waking up least once in between my sleep.
I sit up in my chair and look around the room, blinking the sleep out my eyes. I saw my bed where The Walker, (CP/N) slept was empty with the covers tossed aside. I assumed they probably just went to the bathroom and would return in a bit.
I lay back and relax for a while, deciding I would wait for them to come back, but after more than fifteen minutes waiting, I grew curious as to what they were up to.
I slid out of the chair and stumbled into the darkened hallway, looking over the the bathroom. The lights were off, and the door was cracked open. They weren't in there.
"Maybe Kagefuck sneaked them away again..." I murmur to myself, and I quirky tiptoe to his room. I see the lights are off beneath, and I try the knob but it's locked. "KageKao?" I call out his name, but in return all I could hear was light snoring coming from in the room.
Surely, KageKao wouldn't be dumb enough to mess around with (Cp/N) at this hour, plus it sounded like he was sleeping.
I left his area and went downstairs, thinking they might've just went to the kitchen for something to drink. Knowing (Cp/N) though, it would be weird if they did go downstairs, considering how weird they were towards being around some of the others today.
I pass by the area and the lights were all off, no sign of anyone moving around or nearby. "(Cp/N)?" I call out, glancing around the living room next, but I see them no where around.
Guess it's time for me to put my proxy skills to use. I was tired, but hell, I was really curious on where the loser disappeared to.
- - - Your P.O.V - - -
Welp, I'm lost.
One wrong turn was made somewhere, and now I'm lost. I'm not surprised I got myself lost either; I should've known I couldn't remember the exact way me and Slenders took when we first came to the manor. Honestly, I didn't make a big deal about it either, at least I got to take a nice walk in the woods. At the same time, I willingly took my L for attempting something so dumb in the first place.
I figured retracing or remembering the way we took to get there would help me get back home, but it was just my luck that I couldn't remember and I was walking longer than I remembered we walked the last time. Not to mention, I didn't know the rest of the way from the area I had fainted before when we came close to the mansion the first time.
I start thinking I realllllly should've asked that one clown killer guy how he does his makeup because I really look like a whole circus right now, walking through the woods in the middle of the night like this.
I eventually think maybe I could try getting back to the mansion at least, and start walking back the way I think I came.
My legs were becoming sore, and I wanted a break, but I refused to make any stops within the woods. I began stumbling a bit as I walked which was slowing me down quite much, and I eventually just gave in to taking a small break before continuing on. I stopped walking and leaned against one of the trees, catching my breath and felt a strange breeze rush by me.
I shivered and rubbed my arms despite the fact that the hoodie I was wearing was fairly warm. I considered walking again to build heat, but my legs were so tired and I was getting no where so far.
After a while of standing and regaining my energy, I began to feel like I was being watched...
I looked around where I was, but I didn't see anything around. Everything was eerily silent and still, except for that strange gush of wind that occasionally blew by.
I really hoped no one from the mansion had found out I left; I was beginning to regain common sense and was actually trying to find my way back to the manor.
The sudden cracking of a branch made me jump, and I quickly turn in its direction, hearing the sound of footsteps gradually approaching where I was. Out from ahead eventually appeared the figure of someone, but I could hardly tell who it was because of how dark it was.
I noticed the shining red eyes of the figure and sigh; it was obviously a Creepypasta and they had found me.
"Fantastic. Wonderful," I mutter sarcastically, staring at them as they came closer, "you found me. You want a reward? What, are you gonna tell Slenders on me too? Who are you anyways..."
"Who am I~?"
The voice sounded all too familiar, and when he stepped close enough for me to see him, I groan.
"Ah you. Santa's missing elf," I mutter, referring to the male with the green link tunic and the bleeding red eyes. He stepped close enough and grinned, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at me. "Me....? You don't seem too thrilled to see me. Did I do you wrong?" He asked, tilting his head.
I slowly shake my head, then I narrow my eyes at him "What're you doing here, brick. Were you following me?"
"The whole time, Clueless,"
"You think you can stop me from leaving?"
'As if I was even still trying to leave.'
BEN, his name is, scoffed and unfolded his arms, giving me a mocking glance. "I think? I can stop you from leaving the mansion, no thought to it, and don't you dare assume I'm just doing this on old man Slender's behalf..."
He suddenly reached forward and grabbed ahold of my arm, making me jump back in alarm. "Hey??Fuck off dude," I hiss, grabbing his arm with my other hand, "you wouldn't understand why I even came out here."
"Then tell me why?"
"I don't have to tell you anything. You know, all of this is partly your fault anyways."
"Oh? And how is that?"
"Just let me go!"
I pry BEN's hand off of my arm and turn to make a run for it, but I skid to a halt when he manages to materialize in front of me, blocking my way. Before I could react, he lunges forwards and slams me backwards into a tree, then roughly pinning me against it so I can't move.
His piercing gaze stares straight into my own as I glare at him fidgeting with seething anger. For a while, it stays silent between the two of us, him pressing me against the tree and I staring back at him in disgust.
"I could easily squash you, midget. Move it , before I pick you up and throw you back where you came from," I snarl, shifting uncomfortably. "Is that a threat~?" He responded slyly, forming a smirk on his face, "I like it when people like you try to threaten me, it's just a load of bullshit you use to hide the fact that your hearts' racing right now and you're curious as to what I'm going to do next, holding you here in a position like this~..."
"Yeah. Maybe I'm curious of what you're going to do next but here's what I'm gonna do."
I suddenly reach and grab a good chunk of his bangs and pull down with as much force I could muster—which was a lot of force because I was pissed off.
BEN yelped as he flailed forwards from the force and nearly hit the ground as his legs crumbled below him. "Hey BITCH! What the fuck is your problem!? I was trying to be 'friendly!!??'" He snapped, grabbing his scalp in pain. I took the chance to shove past him and start running.
"Sorry, not good at making friends! Cya!"
I grin, thinking I'm home free when the next thing I know the gremlin had materialized in-front of me again and I run straight into him without being able to stop on time. I crash straight into BEN and we both tumble onto the hard ground. I grab his shoulders but he also grabs mine and smirks, pushing me onto my back and pinning me down.
I know this is gonna hurt like a bitch but I rear my head backwards and get ready to knock us both into next Tuesday by head-butting him.
BEN tilts his head and grins at me, placing his arms around my neck, "Come on (Y/N), give me a chance~"
"Give me a break," I retort; I then rear my fists at my sides and was getting ready to punch him in his smug little face, just resorting to beating him up instead of head-butting when I hear the sound of more footsteps approaching and I groan aloud in frustration, already knowing it was another killer showing up.
"Oh come on! This is all your fault!" I sneer, "I was actually trying to get back to the damn mansion! I wouldn't have gotten caught if it weren't for you!"
"That's right," BEN murmured, giving me a taunting glare and mischievously pressing a finger to his lips, "If it wasn't for me, you would've gotten away with it. But now that someone's here, there's no escape from how badly you're gonna get punished~"
As soon as he finished speaking, I shove him off of me and I pull myself up, looking around in a panic to see who was coming, hoping to god it wasn't Slenders. Without a warning, I suddenly got jumped at and shoved into the ground by someone; I felt my arms and legs get crushed onto the ground and I yell out in pain, my head jarring backwards.
The one that attacked me was panting heavily as they looked down on me, keeping my movements sealed with their own weight, not allowing me to move. Their voice was raspy and cracked as they just about screeched at me, their tone awash with betrayal.
"Are you fucking crazy, Walker!?? How could you??!"
