《Life With Creepypastas》17 ⦻ Just Some Proxy Things

It's the next morning Well, more like afternoon because I slept in past 12.
I slowly open my eyes and for some reason see BEN Drowned on the bed with a smirk.
"Welcome to your worst nightmare~" He snickered, his depression darkening.
I yawn and narrow my eyes at him, "Sorry, but I'm pretty sure my nightmares are at least over 5 feet tall, not a fucking shrimp. Nice try."
BEN's eyes widened, "... WHAT THE HELL DID I EVER DO TO YOU?!"
He then realised, "Wait, nevermind, don't answer that. Ugh..."
I grin and sat up while he hopped off my bed. "You know, usually I'M the one that wakes up at insanely late hours in the mansion, but who are you getting up at nearly 6 in the afternoon?"
"It's nearly 6?!" I choke, "that's too early!"
BEN rolled his eyes, "Shut up (Y/N), I was just kidding, it's 12."
For some reason I wasn't that mad with BEN like I should've been. I didn't fully forgive him, but at least he initiated an apology first, before the others. He seemed sincere enough.
I get out of bed and BEN notices I was wearing the same clothes from yesterday.
"Why didn't you change? TrenderMan gives people pajamas to you know,"
"I know, I was just to tired to care."
I pull Kate's knife from her desk where it was still sitting and slide it to my pants. BEN frowns, "What do you need that for..?"
"Just in case," I respond. Before he could question me more, I head to open up the door of the room.
When I step into the hall, I run right into none other than Jeff The Killer.
- - - Jeff The Killer's P. O. V - - -
"Watch where the fuck you're going!" I snapped before knowing who even ran into me.
I turn around ready to bark at whoever when I see who it is.
It's the new boy... girl... whatever they are.
I wasn't sure how to look at them. Especially after yesterday.
They seem lost for a reaction at first when they see it's me, but then they begin to narrow their eyes at me.
Those eyes. It's coming back to me, the way they looked at me yesterday. I really sent them off the edge without expecting them to react.
For once in my life at the mansion, I actually felt in danger. They had the kind of stare that made you feel you were living in your very last moments on this earth.
Scary... Yet interesting. But I didn't want them to know I actually thought something of them. I can't let them see I was really curious about them. Not yet.
Their silence and their stare was getting to me, so I tried to break the very thin ice we were both standing on.
"Well? What are you staring at?" I scoffed.
"Trash," (Y/N) responded, still eyeing me down, "looks like someone forgot to take it out."
This little shit would really know how to piss me off if I weren't currently more amused with what they said than mad.
"Looks like someone's still mad about getting fucked over by their superiors. Twice, " I grinned.
BEN appears from behind (Y/N) and shakes his head at me. "Guys... No arguing. W-We're not messing with (Y/N) anymore, remember?"
"Smiley bastard started it," (Y/N) hissed.
"Did I now? You're the one that ran your clumsy ass into me," I tilted my head.

"JEFF SHUT UP!!" BEN screamed at me. "You didn't even apologize to (Y/N), did you?"
"Save it, you're last person I want to hear an apology from ," (Y/N) mumbled, walking and shoving past me, heading for the stairs.
BEN followed them and scowled at me before leaving too.
I turned at watched them go, then mutter lowly, "You're something else, aren't you (Y/N)...? What is it that I see that the others don't?"
- - - (Y/N)'s P. O. V. - - -
I'm with BEN again when I walk downstairs where all the other Creepypastas were.
Seeing them helped me be slightly less angry, but not much.
"(Y/N)? Are you okay?" BEN asked, trying to get my attention. "I'm fine" I reply.
"You looked like you were going to fling Jeff to Canada though."
"Thanks for the idea. I'll remember that next time I see him."
Just then I slam into someone else because Jeff was right, I'm a clumsy ass noob. And also for plot reasons. I think.
The annoyed grunt from the person I ran into made me back up, and I see The Mask looking at me angrily. Oh, he wasn't wearing a mask this time, he had a face!
AND REALLY COOL SIDEBURNS!
"Masky, you have a face. And really cool sideburns, " I questioned, smiling at him because I knew he was annoyed by me being here.
"I have face? Of course I have a face, what kind of stupid question was that?" Masky said, frowning at me.
Hoodie who was next to him chuckled and murmured, "They're heavily implying that they thought the mask was your face since you always wear it. "
"No that's not it at all. I'm not like KageKao," Masky sighed. "What about Hoodie, is that your whole head?" I asked for fun, pointing at his covered face.
"No, Walker. It's not. "
I laugh to myself, seeing that I was starting to annoy them. "Hey, since you're both proxies and I'm going to become one eventually, can you guys maybe show me some proxy things so I could start learning about what I have to know?"
"I don't see why not? " Hoodie replied, looking to Masky. Masky looked unsure, like he didn't want to deal with me, but he eventually rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know..I guess?"
"Naw (Y/N), I had better plans! Me and you were gonna play video games together! It's my specialty, ya know?" BEN said, tugging my arm.
"On second thought, we'll gladly take The Walker. The last thing we need in this mansion is another BEN... " Masky said, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from him.
Geez, what's with all these pastas grabbing and pulling people places. Don't they know I can walk myself?
"Let's hang later! I can trust you on that, right (Y/N)?" BEN yelled as Masky and Hoodie start taking me somewhere else. "We'll see!" I yell back.
I think BEN was intent on making things right with me again. Props to him for actually trying.
When BEN is no longer in sight, I look around to see where the proxies were taking me too.
- - - Masky's P. O. V. - - -
I wasn't too happy that SlenderMan wanted a new proxy on the team, but now I just didn't have a choice.
He made it clear that he wants (Cp/N) to live with us, so I just had to deal with it.
I refuse to work beside another Toby, but I wouldn't be surprised if he already rubbed off on them.

Least I can do now is show them how serious it is to be a servant of SlenderMan. Maybe then they won't turn out a nuisance.
"Where are you guys taking me?" (Cp/N) asked, glancing to me curiously.
"Our training room. There, we can show some of the things us proxies do, " Hoodie answered for me.
Hoodie was a lot more welcoming to The Walker than I was; makes sense since they weren't initially his target in the beginning.
I didn't even want to accept (CP/N) since I still saw them as prey rather than one of us. But so far in the two days they've been here, I haven't confronted them once since we first met, and the others would know more about them than I do.
I'll just have to get to know them for the time they spend with me and Hoodie.
We walk in to the training room and Hoodie flicks on the lights. The dull gleam of the ceiling light doesn't brighten up the place that much, but makes a few things in the room more noticeable.
(CP/N) looks at the beaten up dummies, the crate of weapons in the corner, the weaponry shelf, and the blocked off storage that holds more off-limits arsenal.
"Can I get a weapon? Every other Creepypasta has one," (CP/N) asked, looking eagerly at the shelf. "Besides, I'm tired of using Kate's knife for self defense."
"Err, you're not ready for a weapon yet. You didn't even start training," Hoodie responded. "Slender will assign you one when you're ready."
(CP/N) looked annoyed by this. "Then what can I use until then?"
I sigh and walk over the the crate, searching for something simple that (Y/N) could use. Something that could deal damage but not enough to kill unless the right amount of hits were taken.
"Will a baseball bat do? It's enough for you to use for defense for now," I asked, picking up an old, rotted out bat. "Is it metal?" (CP/N) asked.
"It's... wooden. But there's nothing wrong with-"
I stop when they walk up to me and help them selves to digging into the crate, searching for something else.
I frown at them and mutter, "Wooden bat not enough for you? At least I was offering. You're lucky we don't just stick you with a pencil... "
"Masky.... " Hoodie growled, shaking his head at me.
(CP/N) backs away from the box with a flail mace and smirked, nodding their head at me. "I'll use this until General gives me my desired weapon."
What was wrong with this kid? Who triggered them so badly that they needed the most pain inducing weapon possible to start off with?
- - - (Y/N) 's P. O. V. - - -
I looked at the mace, thinking of Jeff.
Was I thinking about this too much? Was I taking things to far?
I felt like that, but at the same time he really, really pisses me off.
Masky was looking at me with a weird, uncomfortable expression, and I don't know how Hoodie was but he only crossed his arms, shaking his head.
"That's too much, (Y/N). You don't need that kind of weapon now."
"Why not???"
"We already told you why!" Masky hollered.
Now I'm stuck with the damn bat.
It's literally falling apart on itself, how am I gonna beat Jeff and or KageKao with it? (If I really had to beat KageKao)
"Just use it for now and let's get started, " Hoodie sighed.
I walk with the two proxies to the center of the traning cellar, dragging the bat behind me.
I stand by, listening as the proxies begin explaining basic stuff to me that I needed to know, my purpose for being there, SlenderMan's expectations, and I what I'll be doing when I become a proxy.
They told me all the ranks again, what proxy missions were like, and our status compared to other Creepypasta.
The more they told me, the more I believed Nina was correct.
We are sort of like Slender's super sidekicks!
"Besides important hunts and stuff, we are also the ones that do the bigger chores in the mansion, and we're also the ones that retrieve groceries from the store for everyone," Hoodie told me, swinging his gun in hand.
"What? Whys that burden on us?"
"Because we're servants? You think Slender's gonna send BEN to grab shit? The four of us are the only ones Slender can truly rely on," Masky said. "And one day we'll see if you're reliable or not."
I'm stuck learning things with Hoodie and Masky for hours and they even show me a few things that would actually be useful, like lock picking, lethal wounding points, stuff like that.
I'm sort of excites to get to the real proxy work, mostly because I was excited for SlenderMan to finally give me my dream weapon, a (W/T).
I'm excited for extra chores and having to basically be a caretaker of the regular killers in the mansion because to me that was bullshit, and it was more like the others were too lazy to do things for themselves.
After I think two hours, SlenderMan appears in the room and I was in the middle of using my bat to attack Masky, you know, for training purposes.
"Hi General!" I exclaim when I see him, throwing what was left of the bat at Masky, who was exhausted on the ground.
"Walker? What are you doing down here? I wasn't going to train you until later on," Slender said.
"I just asked Hoodsie and Masky to show me a few proxy things so I can be ready for actual training," I respond. "So far, I'm excited. But I don't like that we have to carry all the workloads..."
"That's just part of being a servant, (CP/N). You will adjust to it in time. But for now, I want you to get used to the others before you start your training. You will begin soon."
"We still have lots to show you, but we'll wait till you officially begin training," Hoodie said.
"I can wait," Masky groaned, finally getting up from the ground.
I grin at Masky, then respond, "right well thanks anyways for everything you guys taught me today. Really helps with knowing what to expect later on."
The proxies both dip their heads at me and then I follow SlenderMan out of the training room.
~~~
I sneak back into the training room later on because I remember I still didn't have a weapon.
I go back in the crate, but the mace I picked up from before is gone.
I really badly wanted a weapon to use as a placeholder till I could get my dream weapon.
I sneak to the shelf and see a huge bladed weapon at the top.
I climb and grab it, then examine it a bit.
It was a mini Zweihander! Big score! I could use this for now!
It was kind of heavy even though it wasn't a full size Zweihander, so I was probably going to ask Trender if he could fashion a sash for it.
In the mean time, I'll just carry it around by hand and hide it in Kate's room unless I really needed it.
The only thing that really mattered was, I had my own weapon now. Let's see someone like Jeff try and step up to me now.
