《Diego x Reader - Dare》14 - "Who wants Ice Cream?"

Y/N's P.O.V.
Diego got back in the car after fitting the tracker and looked at us.
"You do know that when you're done killing these people, it won't make you feel any better, right?" Klaus asked.
"Yeah, but when it's done... I'm gonna sleep like a baby." Diego smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"No, it's gonna make me feel a hell of a lot better." I said and Diego chuckled.
"I'm being serious."
"So am I, you're staying in the car." My jaw dropped and he looked at Klaus.
"You too, stoner boy."
"What are you talkin' about?" Klaus said.
"These guys tortured me."
"They shot me, I only want to return the favour." Diego rolled his eyes.
"I have a plan." Diego got out of the car.
"So do I, Diego." I muttered to myself.
"Klaus, let's go."
"So what exactly is this plan of yours, big guy?" Klaus asked once we caught up to him.
"I told you to wait in the car." Diego sighed.
"Yeah, but, you also told me licking a 9 volt battery would give me pubes." Klaus said and I rolled my eyes.
"We were 8." Diego said and Klaus shrugged, drinking from his bottle. I tried to push past him, but Diego dragged us both back down the stairs.
"For once, will you two just listen to me and go back to the car? If I'm not back in 2 minutes then I'm probably dead and you should go and get help." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, okay, okay! We're going!" Klaus said, dragging me away.
"No- Klaus!" Klaus sighed dramatically.
"Were not leaving Diego alone to fight the people that almost took down your whole family."

"Fine." He groaned and we went back upstairs. We made it back up the stairs and heard gunfire. Diego yelped in pain and Klaus grabbed him, pulling him back.
"You used to think I was an idiot."
"I still think you're an idiot." I grabbed Diego's arm, causing him to hiss in pain.
"The bullet is still in there." I sighed and we hurried down the stairs, finding the car with the tires popped.
"What are we supposed to do now?" Klaus whined and I looked at Diego then at the ice cream truck.
"Who wants ice cream?" We broke into the truck and I hot-wired it.
"I'm driving." Diego said, getting in and I shook my head.
"Diego, I need to get the bullet out of your arm. You'll just do more damage." I said, before looking at Klaus.
"You're driving, buddy."
"Shit." Diego and Klaus said in unison and I laughed awkwardly.
"We're wasting time, let's go." We all got in, and I sat in between them, taking one of the smaller knives as Klaus began driving.
"Klaus, sweetheart, don't crash. I might end up killing the idiot who got shot."
"Klaus, hurry up." Diego urged and I rolled my eyes. I cut open Diego's sleeve, before carefully taking the bullet out using the knife.
I dropped the metal into Diego's hand, before giving him back the knife.
"I see them!" Klaus cheered.
"Hurry up!" Diego yelled and Klaus waved out of the window as we passed Five and Luther. Klaus drove straight into the 2 lunatics, before hitting their car.
Considering I was busy cutting the bullet out of Diego's arm, I didn't exactly get a chance to put on a seatbelt. As we hit the car, we all fell forward and I hit my head off of the dashboard, knocking myself out.

"Son of a bitch." I sighed, sitting up. I was in the Academy and and Klaus and Diego were sat opposite me.
"Tell me you killed the bastards?"
"We didn't get the chance." Diego said.
"Here." He passed me a cup and Allison and Luther came in.
"Good, you're awake." Luther said almost dismissively.
"What's this all about? Where's Five?" Diego asked him and he sighed.
"He's gone." Luther said and Klaus shivered. I put my hand to my head, flinching slightly at the sore, more than likely bruised, skin.
"There's something we have to talk about. Something Five told me."
"What?" Allison asked and Luther took a deep breath.
"The apocalypse is coming. We have 3 days before it happens."
"You can't be serious. What are we going to do about it?" I asked, taking a drink. Diego stood up and walked towards Luther.
Luther explained everything and my head hurt like crazy. It was hard to concentrate.
"Woah, hold the phone." Klaus said.
"We all died the first time fighting this thing the first time around. Remember?"
"Klaus, shockingly, has a point." Diego said.
"What gives us a chance this time?"
A flash of blue, followed by banging scared the crap out of everyone.
"Jesus!" Allison screamed and I stood up, seeing Five laying in the counter.
"You guys, am I still high or do you see him too?" Klaus asked and I shook my head.
"Five, where have you been?" Luther asked as he fell, Allison catching him.
"Who did this to you." Allison asked and Five struggled to stand.
"Irrelevant." He mumbled, taking her coffee. I looked at Diego in confusion, but he looked as clueless as the rest of us.
"So, the apocalypse is in 3 days. The only chance if stopping it is, well, us."
"The Umbrella Academy." Luther said.
"Yeah, but with me and Y/N, obviously." Five sassed.
"So if y'all don't get your sideshow acts together, we're screwed. Who cares if dad messed us up? Are we gonna let that define us? No."
"Cute pep talk." I said and Five glared at me.
"Do you have anything useful? My head hurts and I think I might pass out."
"Yes, actually." Five looked back at the others.
"To give us a fighting chance to see next week, I've come back with a lead." He held up a slip of paper and Allison took it.
"I know who's responsible for the apocalypse."
"Harold Jenkins?" Allison asked and I could have sworn I'd heard that name somewhere.
"Who the Hell Is Harold Jenkins?" Diego asked. Five finished his drink, before throwing the cup behind him.
Something told me this was gonna be a long few days.
