《Forced: Kidnapped by a Vampire Master (Book One)》Chapter 31

Alex was on his way up!!! I don't think I've ever been this excited before! Quickly pulling the duvet out from underneath me, I got under and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. Man, for a guy with super vampire speed, he sure took his time! The seconds ticked by . . . and them the minutes and at some point, I just fell back asleep waiting for him to come to bed.
***The Next Morning***
The shining through the trees woke me. Groaning, I turned over and cuddled up next to the hard body next to me. Then suddenly I remembered . . .
"Alex?" Opening my eyes I looked up at him, but he was still asleep. That was . . . unusual for him. He's normally up before me. Feeling a little bit glad that he was asleep, I climbed out of bed, instantly shivering when the coldness of the room hit my body and I realized I was still naked.
I saw Alex's t-shirt on the floor and bent down to pick it up, half expecting him to wake . . . but he didn't. Shaking my head, I make my way to the bathroom, after last night I felt like I needed a shower.
Still nothing. It had been hours since I had woken up and still, he was asleep.
"Alex?" No sign of life, I was admittedly very annoyed at him. "ALEX!?"
"What!?" He growled at me, before groaning and sitting up in the bed, letting the sheet fall loosely to his lap.
"What happened last night?" He simply shrugged. "I thought . . . you were coming to see me." I said sadly.
"Yeah well, I got distracted by something more important." Ouch . . . that hurt. I felt tears build up, but before he could witness my pathetic crying, I slid off the bed and headed for the door. "Rose . . . wait!"

Freezing where I stood I waited. Waited for the 'big master, do as I say' speech, but it never arrived.
"I'm sorry baby." Wait . . . WHAT!? He apologized?!
"Okay."
"I didn't mean it the way it came out." By this point, his arms were snaking around my waist and his chin resting on my shoulder.
"Okay."
"Gonna say something other than okay?" I didn't feel like saying anything, so I simply shrugged. "I'm not . . . used to . . . being nice." He admitted quietly. When I didn't say anything, he continued. "Would you like to go out today?"
Stealing a glance at the window, it was bright but it also looked like it wasn't gonna last.
"It doesn't look like the weather to go and play in the garden Alex."
"No, I mean out, out . . . to town. We can do some shopping, I can show you how sorry I am?"
"Out? Like . . . out!?" He lowered his lips to kiss along my shoulder.
"Yes out, out."
"I don't have anything to wear." I said sadly. I didn't wanna embarrass him by looking like crap.
"You wouldn't embarrass me." I wish he'd stop reading my mind. "Come." Tugging on my hand, he led me back to the bed, but instead of going for the bed itself, he pulled me around it to a door. Funny, I never noticed it before. Strange.
"Inside are clothes that I think you'd like. Pick whatever you want." Giggling excitedly, I waited for him to open the door before heading inside to the biggest walk-in closet I have ever seen!
He was really taking me out!!!

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.
