《SINNER - Klaus Mikaelson》THREE

deline decided the group was naïve to believe they even stood an iota of a chance against Klaus. Except for the fact that John found a loophole, sacrificing his life for Elena's. The only other win the group claimed was that Klaus, for some reason unbeknownst to all, let Adeline live.
Today was Jenna's funeral, a day that no one would enjoy. Adeline couldn't even begin to describe how Elena and Jeremy were feeling. She knew how it felt to lose one parent, but they lost two, then Elena lost John who was her biological father and finally, Jenna. Death seemed to follow that family. Adeline slipped in her black dress and slide on a pair of black heals. She had somewhere to go, someone she needed to see before joining the others.
Elijah had been spotted lingering around the woods of the small town, probably chasing after his devil Hybrid brother who's transition into werewolf was successful. She was happy to see the reports being correct as she pulled up to the woods surrounding the Lockwood Estate. Elijah was standing in the middle of the woods, staring out at something in front of him.
"Elijah!" Adeline called, stalking towards him.
"Adeline?" He questioned, meeting her gaze.
"You aren't a man of your word." She seethed.
'Listen to me—" the original started.
"No." She interrupted. "You promised you would kill Klaus but last I heard he was still alive and well."
Adeline didn't fully understand why she came here to seek out Elijah. People handled grief in different ways, and she chose anger as a way of coping. She knew if Elijah so desired, he could kill her in seconds, but she went anyways.
"My family is everything to me and I have the chance to get them back." He spoke with a soft tone, locking eyes with the angry blonde. "Wouldn't you want your mom back if you could?"
"That's not fair." She started.
"It is true though, is it not?"
"Of course, it's true." She admitted.
There was no use in trying to deny that she would give anything to have her mother back. In that sense, she could see why Elijah went back on her word. She wished she could use that to make her feel better about Jenna dying, but she couldn't.
"Adeline, I sincerely apologize for you and your friend's losses—" he started.
"Please—spare me the fake apology." She sneered and retreated to her car, leaving the original behind. Branches were snapping behind him catching his attention, when he turned around his brother was there, naked but back into his normal form.
"Here." Elijah muttered, handing Klaus a set of clothes. Both men's eyes were locked on Adeline as she was still barely in their sight.
"Adeline—wasn't it?" Klaus questioned.
"Yes." Elijah answered, staring at his brother with confusion.
"Interesting girl." He mumbled.

There was a whole new debacle taking place at the Salvatore house when Adeline arrived. A somber feeling filled the halls of the mansion and she assumed it was because of the deaths of Jenna and John, but she was wrong.

"Addy—" Elena sighed, wrapping her friend into a tight hug.
"I'm so sorry Elena" Addy whispered, and meant it. "I wish I could have saved Jenna, I wish he had let me take her place."
"Please don't say that." The brunette pleaded. "I am glad you are here."
Stefan rounded the corner of the room joining the girls with a sickly look on his face. Adeline could tell immediately something more than mourning the loss of Jenna and John was happening.
"Stefan—" she questioned. "What is it?"
Both Elena and Stefan shared a long look before turning back to their blonde friend.
"Damon was bitten by Tyler—he's dying." Stefan breathed, his voice shaking with each word he spoke.
"Oh my god." Addy gasped; she was trying to take in what was happening. She had tried to convince herself the worst was over, but she was wrong. The reminisce of Klaus's evil plan was still affecting their lives. He had done so much damage, in such a short amount of time.
Adeline wasn't as close with Damon as she was Stefan, but he was still a friend, she still cared. She also truly cared about Stefan and knew it would break him completely if he lost his brother. She was silently wishing there were something she could do, but a werewolf bite as they learned from rose was uncurable and deadly.
"I've been told Klaus's blood can heal him, so I am going to pay him a visit." he informed the girls.
"What? No! Klaus is crazy, he will kill you." Elena protested.
"I have to try Elena—" he started. "He's my brother."
Both girls knew he was right and that even if they disagreed there was nothing, they could do to stop him. He was going to try to save his family, just like they would. It is what you do for the ones you love, but Addy didn't want him to do it alone.
"I'm coming with you." Adeline blurted.
"No way." Elena argued, causing Addy to immediately roll her eyes at her friend.
"I agree with Elena. It's dangerous." Stefan crossed his arms, staring down his friend with a concerned expression.
"I didn't ask either of you for permission. I am coming with you one way or another."
They all stood in the Salvatore mansion arguing until Adeline pointed out they were on a time crunch and didn't have any more to spare with useful arguments. She had convinced Stefan to let her ride along, she wasn't sure how she did it, but he finally caved. He probably knew that even if he forbid it, she would find her way there. That had always been the kind of friend Adeline was. She was a fierce protector and her loyalty knew no bounds.

Klaus knew he would see Adeline again; he just didn't think it would be so soon which is why he was shocked when she stepped into the apartment he took over from Alaric with Stefan. If he was being honest with himself, it was a pleasant shock, he didn't know why but he felt excited to see her.

"Friends—to what do I owe the pleasure?" he smirked.
Adeline wanted to rush across the room and punch the Hybrid in the face, but she was smart enough to know that wouldn't end well for her. It also didn't help that when she looked up and locked eyes with the man standing before her, her knees turned to jello and she couldn't move even if she wanted to.
"It's my brother Klaus. He's dying—" Stefan started. "He was bit by Tyler Lockwood and a little birdie told me your blood is the cure."
"That's a smart bird." Klaus scoffed.
Adeline was annoyed with Klaus's patronizing response. He could tell how much Damon meant to Stefan, everyone could because it was obvious and still, he made light of it. It was true what people said about him, he was heartless and practically the devil himself walking amongst us.
"Cut the crap Klaus—what's it going to take for you to give us some of your blood?" Adeline blurted out of anger before she had the chance to stop herself.
The Hybrid was amused and taken back by the bold outburst from the only human that stood in the room. He would never admit it, but he was impressed with her bravery. Any normal person wouldn't dare come anywhere near him, let alone speak with him in such a manner after what she witnessed him do during the ritual.
"Well—let me think about it love." He smirked. "I could be inclined to make a deal."
"What do you want Klaus? Let's get on with it." Stefan sneered.
Klaus walked across the room and pulled out a handful of blood bags, then tossed them down in front of Stefan.
"I heard you are somewhat of a notorious ripper." The hybrid smirked. "So—drink the blood, all of it."
"That's what you want?" Stefan scoffed. Adeline could tell he was uncomfortable. Stefan had struggled with control since he first turned, she knew that. She had heard the stories he and Damon would talk about his time as the Ripper of Monterey.
"Oh, come on now. You knew it wasn't going to be that easy." Klaus mocked. "Drink the blood, allow yourself to indulge and become the ripper you desire to be so deep down inside."
"Stefan—" Adeline started.
"It's alright Addy, I can handle a little blood if it saves my brother." Stefan interrupted. Adeline looked down at the blood bags in front of him, it was not a little blood, it was a lot. She was no vampire, but she did understand what this amount of blood could do to him, it could drive him insane.
"Oh no—that isn't all." Klaus smiled. "I will be leaving town for a bit, hunting werewolves to turn into Hybrids and all, I'm going to need Ripper Stefan to accompany me."
Adeline felt the blood drain from her face. There was no way Stefan could agree to leave town with his monster. Especially because there was no telling what he may become without his friends to help him, but to her surprise he reluctantly agreed.
Klaus was visibly pleased by Stefan's acceptance; the smile never left his face as Stefan down blood bag after blood bag. The veins were protruding from under his eyes, as he ripped his teeth into each new bag until he had finally drunk every drop Klaus sat in front of him.
"I did it—I'm done." Stefan strained. "Now please, give me your blood."
"Eager, are we?" Klaus mocked.
"Klaus, we had a deal. Give me your blood!"
"Sorry Mate—there's one more thing I need." he smirked, turning his gaze onto Adeline. "She comes with us."
Stefan slammed his fist down on the table and immediately stood up from his seat. The anger was dripping off him, filling the room.
"No! That wasn't part of the deal." He shouted.
Klaus wasn't phased by his anger, it seemed like if anything , he was entertained.
"I just made it part of the deal." Klaus smiled.
"Forget it—there is no way I am letting that happen." Stefan shook his head, and it was clear he wasn't going to accept Klaus's offer.
"I'm sorry—I thought Elena was your girlfriend, not Adeline?" he mocked. "Have we moved on from our deceased love already?"
Stefan was becoming angrier with each word that left Klaus's mouth. It was clear that neither of them would be willing to back down. Adeline was scrambling thoughts in her mind, trying to come up with a solution that wouldn't end in death.
"Addy is a friend, a good friend." Stefan spat. "I won't allow her to be around you. If you want me, fine but she is not coming."
"Ah—okay." Klaus smirked. "No deal then."
The frustration and defeat on Stefan's face was causing a pit to form in Adeline's stomach and when she thought of Damon, lying in bed dying the pit only got worse. She wasn't sure what good she could be to Klaus, she was human, but she assumed he only wanted her to come along to get under Stefan's skin and hurt those who loved her. But even still, she gave in.
"I'll come." She announced, breaking the silence.
"Addy! No. You are not doing this." Stefan shouted.
"Hush Stefan!" Klaus argued, throwing his hand up. He looked pleased with Adeline's decision. "What a selfless friend."
"Just give us the cure." Addy huffed.
Klaus bit into his arm and dropped blood into a vile before sealing it shut.
"Katerina, come here." He gestured. "Take this to Damon Salvatore please."
"No! She is on vervain she will never bring it to him." Stefan yelled.
"Well, that's just not my problem." The original shrugged. "I guess we better get your bags packed, we leave tonight."
Klaus locked eyes with Adeline — a devilish smirk took over his face.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!
