With one fiery blow the door swung open, revealing the one man which you despised so very much. He stood in the opening, holding some tray or some sorts with ... food? Your mouth immediately began to water from even the thought of food.
It had been hours... No, probably days that you didn't get any food. You had no idea actually how long ago it was when you ate that apple, but it felt like an eternity. You must've lost quite some weight these... weeks...? You've been with Jeff. You could almost smell and taste the things Jeff had in stock for you.
He slowly walked over to you, not even caring if the liquid he had in the glass spilled on the tray. He stopped right in front of the bed and then placed the tray almost gently on the sheets. You now saw what it really was. Some toast and a glass of orange juice.
You only stared at it, not really sure what to do. Was it meant for you? Or maybe it was meant for some kind of torture? To taunt you. Make you watch while he is eating and you are nearly starving from the hunger. Yeah, he would do something like that, no doubt about it.
However instead of taking a bite out of the bread like you expected Jeff to do, he only shoved the tray a little closer towards you. His eyes met your gaze as he mentioned with his hand for you to eat. You still weren't really sure what he meant by that gesture so he only gave a loud and annoyed sigh before speaking:
"I didn't get it for the show, you know The last word he spoke had sent shivers down your spine. It was almost nice of him to give you food... But you couldn't help but to feel that this wasn't as kind as he wanted it to look. No, he only fed you because he wanted you around.

It was necessary for you to be kept alive, so he needs to feed you. Like he needs to do with any pet of his. But aside from the fact that he ordered you to eat, you gladly accepted the food. You were so extremely hungry and the water was almost overflowing your mouth.
You slowly shoved the tray closer towards you, keeping a close eye on Jeff from the corner of your eye when you brought the toast to your mouth. He may have poisoned it... Or did other filthy things in it. Who knows? However Jeff only kept his stern face, no grin or smile shown.
The first bite out of the food tasted like heaven. You never knew food as simple as this could taste so good, so delicious! Soon you took another bite and then another. You almost forgot about Jeff who was walking around the room and gathering some stuff.
When you were finished you felt as if you could eat 10 more pieces, but asking Jeff wasn't a smart idea. He just gave you food which, as far as you can feel, smell and taste, isn't poisoned or spoiled. You slowly drank some of the juice, still careful for the possibility that it COULD be poisoned.
But it tasted like orange juice should. It tasted good, refreshing. Your eyes flashed to Jeff when you silently tried to put the glass back. You still had the key and he didn't seem to notice or to be searching for it. His gaze then met with yours. He only stared for a while until a nasty grin formed on his blood red lips.
Before he could say something there was a harsh knock on the door. Jeff's face immediately went from amusement to annoyed and angry. His head snapped towards the door as you could see his hand turning into a fist, ready to slam anyone who dares to disturb him again.

"Who the fuck is it?" He snarls at the door. You only sat there, staring from Jeff to the door and back. It was silent for a while, until you heard a strange voice.
"S-S-Slender needs your i-i-immediate presence in his o-ffice." Jeff only growled, he seemed to think. He then briefly looked over at you before snarling back:
"Give me five minutes." The other side of the door was silent and then you heard faint footsteps. The guy was gone. It chilled you to the bone that another killer who didn't really have a thing for you stood on the other side of the door, ready to lash out at you once you set foot outside of this room.
Even though this room wasn't really a safe haven either, it was more comfortable than taking one step outside of this door. It would be perfect if Jeff wouldn't be here, then it would come close to a comfortable place.
Jeff then turned towards you, his eyes filled with fury and fire, like a silent threat. You knew, you weren't allowed to even move when he was gone. That was what he was saying, that was what he meant when he would be looking at you like that.
"I'll be gone for only a few minutes. " Don't move your ass! You were going to move regardless whether he liked it or not! Well... That is if you needed to move. You were actually sitting comfortable on the bed here, but he didn't have to know that.
Jeff then walked over to the door, glancing over his shoulder one last time before he opened the wooden portal and stepped out of it. He slammed the door close behind him, making the room almost shaking in fear. You waited for his footsteps to fade away
.
You knew that this was your chance, you could make your decision now whether to keep the key or to put it back down. It might be safer to put it back down; it was stupid to keep this key if you had no idea whether Jeff had a spare one.
However your head and its reality thinking couldn't go up against the feeling in your chest. You opened your hand and looked at the small metal thing lying in it. It was as if this key had more purposes, as if it was a really important key.
Your head screamed at you to put it back where you had got it, to play it a little safer and not get any further on Jeff's bad side. You would get to see your friends sooner or later anyway... You hoped. But your heart told you to keep it, because it might come in handy one day regardless of you getting caught or not.
But you still had to make this decision on your own:
What would you do?
Keep the key. (look in the side menu for Keep the key)
Put it back down. (Look in the side menu for Put it back down)

Important Note:
I hope it all makes sense and otherwise, you'll see!
Also no cheating! It is more fun to stick with the decision you've made!

It's a fantasy world just like any other, orcs, elves, monsters, adventurer's guilds... Just one catch, though: there's no such thing as healing magic. Get a nasty wound from the monster you're fighting? There's nothing to patch you up, not so much as a red potion or a cure light wounds spell! All you can rely on are mundane medical procedures to help you get back on your feet. And those don't come cheap! You can probably guess that injuries that in other worlds would be minor are rather costly in one where the priest class doesn't exist. What kind of dungeoneering community springs up in an atmosphere where a simple cut can mean lethal infection? How do dungeon crawlers find workarounds when conventional combat proves too dangerous? the hero, the villain, and the profiteer
...*ahem*.... I have been on the site for a while and I have wanted to make my own piece of literature for this site so I'm going to do it here is what I will be making as my first one. Honestly the thought just popped into my head yesterday I rather enjoy several different kinds of stories on the site, so I found a way to do a little bit of each. I myself am a high-functioning autistic but that's only shows in my writing for the most part they look will be the occasional grammar mistake and missing apostrophes and periods I'm also using a speech to text feature on my computer that will occasionally slip up. Now for the synopsis of the story: your standard reincarnation seventh hero type deal but there is a little..... Slip up: parts of the person fractals creating several people;; A great-hearted hero, a savvy traveling merchant, and a sadist curious dungeon Lord. Critiques and people reading this is appreciated, I mostly just doing this for fun. And because this is somewhat important for some reason the cover art is not made by me I just got it from search engine. It also may change over time. im mostly following the dl becouse...i don't know.

A Siren's Call
I was a normal teenage girl but one day I was kidnapped. Everything changed after that. I saw the cruelty of the world. I had learned late about what I should fear more in life. I was granted a rebirth and a screen popped up in front of me. There were two choices: ‘New Life’ and ‘Revenge’. I wonder which I should choose. **A story about a girl who lost her sanity and falls deeper and deeper into the darkness.** WARNING: This story is not for the soft hearted. There are a lot of moments where you'd question my own sanity. Heck, I was disturbed at some moments as I write this story but I can't not write it! **DOUBLE WARNING: This is a very very very very dark story.** : p.s. I do not own the cover art in any way or form and found it using the almighty google-sensei.
