Once the door behind you had closed you let out a deep breath. The only bright light which came from the room was gone now, and you needed to do this with only the small light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. You slowly looked around; trying to figure out which way you had come from.

You didn't really recognize anything. So far for trying to get out of this maze. Argh, this couldn't be! If you even didn't know which way you came from then how could you ever find your way back? This was just impossible!

You could always just sit outside of this door and stay here, waiting for Jeff to come back. Sure you would hear ear piercing screams and pleads to be released into the afterlife but it wouldn't be worse than to get caught by another psychopathic killer.

But... What if Masky and Hoodie found out that you were just waiting here? For all you knew Masky would suddenly open the door and drag you back inside by your hairs. Then again, Jeff will most likely come back from his trip to this 'Slender' soon, so you didn't think you had to wait long.

But maybe even that wouldn't be quick enough.

The only thing you knew now was that you had to get back to Jeff's room as soon as possible... Or even out of this cellar full or corridors. Just out would be more than enough. You were alone now, you could escape, and you could go searching for your friends...

But that would be a stupid move to make. Especially now. No, the only thing you had to do was to get out of here, then when you're back upstairs you'll go back to Jeff's room like the good penny you are. You couldn't afford to get into trouble one more time. Jeff probably would already find you once you are back upstairs.

Suddenly there was a loud, harsh bang against the door behind you, and you jumped a little out of fright while you kept the scared yelp secured in your throat. Alright, so much for just standing here and waiting, you needed to leave before you would be the thing which was thrown against the wall.

You took a deep breath before you decided to just walk to the right. Your terrible sense of direction told you that you had come from that way and even though it had failed you many times in the past, it was the only support you had now.

Each step you took reverberated through the long, dark hallways. It seemed as if they never ended, as if they just took you deeper into the maze of darkness and pity. You felt extremely scared when walking through it and somehow the cold wrapped itself around you like a blanket.

You just hoped that you would get out of here soon enough, but you didn't count on it. No, stop thinking like that. You were going to get out of this alive. You were going to find your friends one day and above all you were going to escape this mansion.

Or die trying.

When the time is right you would know, but right now you had to get back to the entrance of this... hellhole and meet up with Jeff... Or just wait for him in his room. Anywhere that would be safe from other killers.

You then again came to a bifurcation of those hallways. You first looked to the left, but the only thing you saw was darkness. To the right was exactly the same. You were contemplating what direction to choose and in your mind you secretly threw a coin.

Left.

You then slowly took a few steps into the left corridor, still gazing around you to see whether you were really alone. All of the doors were closed; some of them stained in red liquid which you knew was blood. You didn't dare to open one of them.

It would be most stupid to do and above all unnecessary. You knew what that door looked like. The big, metal door in which you had entered this maze. It was your main target to find and once you had found it, you would be so relieved. Then everything would turn out fine.

But you hadn't found it yet.

The danger wasn't over like your mind wanted it to be. It was still an extremely dangerous corridor, with an extremely dangerous chance that you might meet someone who you really don't want to meet.

With each step you took you felt your heart racing in your chest. Was this the right way? What if you couldn't get back? What if someone other than Jeff would find you? You wanted to slap your mind for thinking the doom scenarios again, but this time it was valid.

Maybe you should've indeed waited outside of that door... But you knew that wouldn't have done you any good either. Masky was clear about what he wanted to do to you and even though Hoodie was more focused on the task at hand; he wouldn't have stopped his companion.

Then you yet again came to another bifurcation... Maybe right? You weren't so sure anymore, but you had nothing to count on except for your feeling. Your mind completely failed you this time, simply because it couldn't remember a thing. Not surprising though, all these corridors looked the same...

Your footsteps and rapid breathing were the only sounds in this whole maze of corridors and concrete. The rhythm of your own feet somehow did calm you a little. It made you feel as if you were still there, as if this wasn't all just a bad nightmare.

'step step step'

Don't get it wrong, you really wanted to just wake up and have everything back to normal again... But ever since you were in this mansion it felt as if this whole ordeal was unreal. As if everything you did would be for nothing, as if you yourself weren't real.

'step step step'

You nearly chuckled at this weird thinking. It made you think about those useless philosophy classes you used to get at high school. What would you care if that sidestep isn't existing and just a trick of the mind. Once you fall on it, it will hurt. Just believe that.

'step step step'

But somewhere you knew this feeling was right. Of course this was all hard to believe. First you're being chased in your own home by mysterious and paranormal people. Then the FBI tells you that there is some weird new breed of species which are so dangerous that even they can't stop them and their main target is you.

Who wouldn't think that this all is just a very long and almost never ending nightmare?

'Step step step step step step''

You immediately froze in place as your breath got stuck into your windpipe. Your eyes widened and your heart began to race at full speed. The blood retreated from your face and going to your muscles, to prepare your body to run for your life.

What you heard weren't your own footsteps anymore.

Someone was in one of these corridors, or even worse! Someone was following you! You slowly and steadily glared over your shoulder into the dark abyss which was the end of the hallway. You felt your whole body shaking with fear as the corridor suddenly got colder.

You didn't hear the footsteps anymore. Was it just a trick your mind played on you? Were you really going nuts? No, that cannot be! The person must have noticed that you weren't walking anymore. Maybe the killer also knew that you heard his or her footsteps.

The silence was somehow soothing, because this way you could hear anything which was going on in these hallways. However you knew that eventually you had to walk again, so you took a very slow first step. No sound was heard.

You took another step and another before you quickly walked further, your footsteps clashing even harder against the cold, concrete floor than before. At least, that was what it felt like.

'Step step step step step step'

No, you really weren't going crazy, someone was following you! Your walking immediately turned into running for your damn life. You didn't dare to turn back or to even look at the possible murderer who was chasing you.

You knew that he was there, and that you had to run as fast as you could.

Adrenaline coursed through your veins, it made you keep running. It was then you nearly crashed against the wall as the dark corridor suddenly ended in a bifurcation. Now you had the guts to quickly look back and you saw someone shooting out of the darkness.

You only caught a glimpse of this fairly tall man and a flash of blue before you started running into a random direction again. You didn't care about left of right anymore; you didn't care about your feeling. You were being fucking chased by a fucking killer.

You knew screaming or crying for help would do nothing but bad, another killer might hear you and join the chase. You felt your muscles screaming for you to stop and your breathing became heavy. The constant running really took its toll on your body, but you couldn't stop!

The footsteps came closer and closer but your determination to get out of here alive only grew. Your mind pushed your body to go even faster than you knew you could. You felt as if this man came closer and closer, as if he was almost there.

Then you felt a hand roughly wrap itself around your upper arm, before you came to a harsh stop. The man pulled at your upper arm and with a good swing you fell backwards on the cold, concrete floor. Your arms shoving over the concrete, leaving them bruised and battered.

Your eyesight became blurry because of the sudden smack. You gave a yell of pain and were about to crawl away until your vision returned to your eyes. In front of you stood a man. A man wearing a blue mask, black stuff oozing from the gaps where his eyes should be. In his gloved hand, he held a scalpel.

"I didn't think our toys would be lurking all the way out here... Or maybe you're just a prey? No matter, finder is the keeper, isn't that right?" Before he could even wait for an answer of you, you had already shot up and ran as far away from this creep as you could.

"Go on, run. I like a good chase." Were the only words you heard before again footsteps were coming closer and closer. This time you were determined not to get caught and you ran as hard as your body would allow. It felt as if you were flying over the floor.

You nearly crashed against the wall each time you had to take a turn, mainly because suddenly the darkness would stop and end in a wall. You hated the fact that there was so little light out here. You tried to shake this guy off by taking as many turns as you could, but you just knew that he was familiar in these hallways.

It was then a little ray of hope came your way. Further in the corridor, you saw a door. It was so big that it could be seen from far way. The heavy metal door from before. You didn't hesitate for a second and ran at it with high speed.

You nearly crashed against it, but there was no time to feel pain. You knew he was close behind you, so you gave a harsh tug against the lever.

It was locked.

Shit, shit shit! How could this happen? Of course this was your luck! The only way to freedom was fucking locked! Wait a second! The key! Jeff had opened the door with a key which looked similar to the one you were contemplating to take!

But... Did you take the key?
