I don't feel at ease as soon I stepped into that floor. It sent chills down my spine as I looked at the environment my girlfriend is currently working in. I was on my way back home when I received a call from one of my team member regarding another kidnapping and murdering case. I immediately change my direction to the murder scene.
Once I arrived at the scene, people were crowding around the scene and I had to make sure they gave me the space for me to walk over to the scene. I held my badge for the officer who is guarding the whole scene. "You need these." Kihyung pass me a pair of gloves and mask. "Before you ask, body was ripped opened from right below her neck all the way down until below her stomach. Missing of intestines, heart, lungs and liver." Kihyung said as I put on the gloves and mask. I stopped my pace and look at the forensic team that is surrounding the victim.
"Detective Sung Hoon." I showed my badge to the forensic team and they stepped aside. "Seems like the murderer has a thing for organs huh? Most of the victims has a missing heart. What can people do with human heart?" I look at the face of the victim and then her ripped opened body. Kihyung squat next to me and frowned as he noticed something. "Sir, hate to break it to you. Either the murderer keep it for science or for... meal." I swear I just feel like the food I ate earlier is begging to be vomited out.
"Details on the victim." I look at Kihyung before I got up and look around while letting out a heavy sigh. "Lee Yoon Seok. One of the famous model in South Korea. You don't know her hyung?" He raised his brows and I frowned slightly. "I can't recognize her. Aish.. it is my off day and here I am investigating another murder scene." I said as I took off the gloves. "For science is impossible... meal.. you're crazy, Kihyung." I rolled my eyes before I turned to look at the body bag. "Call me once you guys arrive at the lab. I need to check on the body before we do a proper funeral for it." The team nod and I walked back to my car.

I woke up feeling slightly better and as I look at my phone, it indicate that it is already 6:50pm. "Oh no.." I quickly got up and noticed that Jungkook's office light is still on. I knocked on his office door and there was no answer. I can't enter his office unless he is around and give me the permission. I decided to give a call. When I turned around, Yoongi was standing behind me.
"Jungkook left. He told me to send you home." Yoongi said as he gazes intensely at me. "Pack up. I'll switch off the office light." He said before he waited for me to step aside. "You have to leave by 7pm right? Go down and wait for me at the lobby. I'll go get the car." With that I nod and immediately pack my bag. I immediately head downstairs and just like what Yoongi instructed me. The employees are still leaving the office at this hour. I saw Mi Rae and the girls they approached me suddenly.
"Oh Na Ra you're still here? We going for dinner and have a drink, want to join us, Na Ra?" Mi Rae offered and just as I was about to say something I felt a hand rested on my waist. "I'm sorry ladies, Na Ra is not feeling well. Mr Jeon instructed me clearly to take her home." Yoongi said as he pulled me closer. The girls look at where his hand landed and I immediately became stiff. "Shall we?" Yoongi whispered and he lead me the way to a black Porsche spyder. He let go of me and opened the passenger door. "Get in" he said firmly and I did.
I put on the seatbelt and remained silent. Once Yoongi is in the driver seat, he put on his seatbelt and unwind the window down. He pulled out a cigarette and light it up. "Jungkook told me to pass this to you. Drink up. It will lessen the pain for your cramps." He hand me a small glass bottle. I look at it and then back at him. "Don't worry it is just a vitamin drink." He said as he puff out the smoke to the side where the window is. I uncapped the bottle and immediately necked the drink down. It was sharp and strong, making me cough. "Oh my.. why does it taste so strong. It is like drinking old wine." I said as I held my throat and rubbed it gently.

"Well it is called vitamin drink for a reason." Yoongi said as he continue to drive and smoke at the same time. "I'm sorry for what I did back there." He said suddenly and that cause me to immediately look up at him. "Don't worry about that." I replied and he stopped his car as it is red light. He takes out his phone and texted something while his cigarette hanging on his lips. I notice a star with a circle outline tattoo on his wrist and it looks beautiful somehow. "I like your tattoo." I complimented and he put his phone away and start driving.
"Thank you, I guess." He said nervously before he keep on driving. Once we arrived at my place, I got out of the car and walk towards the door. "Erm, thank you for sending me home. Do you want to come in for a drink?" I offered and Yoongi remained silent. He looked up at my door and then shake his head. "No thank you. I take up the offer next time." He said. "Good night, Na Ra. Rest well." He said before he left.
"YAH YOONGI STOP PACING AROUND LIKE A LOST CAT." Hoseok shouted as he threw a pillow at me. I look up at him and frown. "Let him be Hoseok. Let us wait for Jungkook to come home so Yoongi here can stop pacing." Namjoon said and immediately the sound of the Ferrari engine could be heard. I stopped and take a seat next to Namjoon.
"See he stopped." Namjoon smirk and I smack his head. "Jungkook ah! You're home." Hoseok said excitedly. Jungkook seem calm today. Usually he will unleashed his anger and immediately head to the shrine but tonight, he is all smiling. "Ah Hyung... I can feel it.. I can feel my connection with her." He said as he sit down on the armchair and loosen up his tie.
"Well I think there is some news that might either make you happy or worried. Yoongi here has been pacing back and forth since he came back. You want to share something Yoong?" Namjoon asked and Jungkook and others look at me. I closed my eyes and take a deep breathe. I slowly opened them back and it turned into pitch black. "First she drank it. Thats a success. Second.. she can see it. You know what happens right when someone can see it?" I asked and Jimin seemed lost. "See what hyung?" Aish this guy. "The tattoo. She saw my pentagram tattoo, Jungkook."
"Well isn't that a good news? Means the drink works right?" V asked and Jungkook clenched his jawline. "Not for Yoongi hyung case. Looks like I have a competition here." Jungkook stood an inch away from me. V and Jimin really looked confused. "We don't get it. What does it mean?"

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
