《Devil's Meal // Jungkook ✔》𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 34

I woke up as soon the alarm clock on my phone went off. Thank goodness I have no hangover from last night. I didn't even get to drink last night due to the sudden argument that both Jimin and Jungkook had. I got up from my bed and did a light stretching before I made my way into the bathroom to have a shower. Lucky enough I managed to pack for my 3 days 2 night trip to Gwangju except for the charity ball dress. Jungkook told me that he will get one for me to wear for that event.
Speaking of Jungkook, I really think that whatever that is happening between us is moving on real fast. I need to sit down and have a proper conversation with him. He is my boss after all and rumours tend to spread fast. The next thing I know, the whole office will talk about it. I clear my thoughts and immediately stepped into the shower and have a nice hot shower. Once I am done, I get myself ready. A simple plain white shirt and black jeans. I dried up my hair and did a light make up to cover up my flaws. Once I am done, I make sure that I packed everything I need. Sufficient amount of undergarments and clothes for me to wear through out my stay. Even though it is just for a short two days trip, it is better to have everything than I have to spend my money on it. I even bring my ipad and planner along just in case Jungkook wants me to do some emailing during the stay.
I look at the clock and it is almost ten in the morning. I decided to make myself a cup of coffee when suddenly the door bell rang. I opened it thinking it was Jungkook. To my disappointment it wasn't. "What do you want Sung Hoon?" I asked as I decided to not move and let him in. "You going somewhere?" He asked and when I was about to answer, we were interrupted. "Yes. She's going on a business event with me and Na R, looks like we have to go now." Jungkook said before Sung Hoon took a step back. "So you're with him now, Na Ra?" He asked and I swear I have no time for this right now. "Please leave. I have no time for this and I have to go now, Sung Hoon." I said. I went inside to get my bag and Jungkook takes it from me. I locked my door and gate and walk past my ex-lover.

"Na Ra please..." Sung Hoon grabbed my hand and the next thing I know Jungkook tugged onto Sung Hoon's collar. "You should have think twice before cheating on her with her own best friend you dumb fuck. Now we both have to go so stop pestering her." Jungkook said before he throws a punch on Sung Hoon and lead me to the car. I didn't even bother to look behind and check on him. I get into the passenger seat behind and followed by Jungkook. "Wait.. Oh you hired a driver?" I asked as I noticed we are not at the front seat now. "I'm a CEO remember? Of course I have driver." he replied and I rolled my eyes. "Don't worry, my driver only understand spanish. He won't be able to eavesdrop on any of our conversation we're having." Jungkook said and I raised my brows. " You can speak Spanish?" and he nods arrogantly. "Don't underestimate me Na Ra." He winks and I scoffs before shifting my attention to the view outside.
"We shall make a stop at a cafe for breakfast. I bet you're hungry." Jungkook said as he speaks up in Spanish, informing the driver to make a stop at a cafeteria I guess. I scowled at him and look at the morning road of Seoul. The driver finally stopped at the famous French Cafeteria and Jungkook got out of the car. "Why are you not getting out?" Jungkook asked and I shake my head. "Not in a mood for fancy expensive breakfast. Can we have something simple and affordable for me, Jeon Jungkook?" He shake his head. "Get out now before I carry you into the cafeteria." He said and I sigh heavily as I got out and wear my sling bag over. "I only have breakfast as this restaurant. It fits my taste well." Jungkook said as he opened the door for me to walk in and I thanked him for that. "But not for me." I mumbles before a waitress approached us. "Good Morning Mr Jeon. As per usual, your seat is reserved. Right this way." She said as she lead us upstairs to the second floor.

It is an open concept cafeteria. I can see the beautiful city and enjoying the morning breeze. "What would you like to have?" He asked and I look at him for a moment. "French Vanilla latte and Red Velvet croissant and sugar donut. Just serve me as a takeaway. Easier." I told the waitress and Jungkook just told her the normal. She nods her head and leave. "I wasn't expecting you to start your morning with cakes and sugary food." He said and I shrugged. "Now you do know." I replied.
"Do you want to talk about us now?" He suddenly asked and that caught my attention. "Do you?" I asked him back and he nods his head once. "Fine.. let's talk about..." I think for a moment and suddenly Jungkook hold my hand. "Don't think any further. I like you, Na Ra. I was feeling euphoric when you chose the kissing option instead of me letting you go. I know you are still doubting about us. But let me try. Let me try to show you my world and shower you with a lot of happiness and love." Jungkook said as he plant a soft kiss on the back of my hand.
I remained silent for a moment as I look at my boss. "I don't expect a perfect relationship, Jungkook. I just... I just don't want you to cheat behind my back like what Sung Hoon did. Promise me that." I said as I gazes at him and hook his pinky finger with mine and smiles. "I promise." I paused for a moment and nod. "I'm going to hold onto that promise. Plus I really hope we act professionally at work, Jungkook. I am your secretary after all. There are still many things we need to talk about. I'm sure we can do that on our way to Gwangju." I said as I look at the time and quickly start with my breakfast.
After we had our breakfast, we continue our long drive journey. Jungkook is on his ipad, doing a bit of his work before he looks at me. "Get some sleep since we still have a long way to go." He said as he pulled me close and rested my head on his shoulder. "It's Saturday. You're still doing work..." I said as I look at the emails he is reading on his ipad. "Do you want me to stop doing work right now and give you the attention instead?" He asked and he immediately lock his ipad and placed it aside. He gently lift up my chin, making me look at him. "You know what is a good combination of french vanilla, Na Ra?" He asked me suddenly and I shake my head. "Croissant? Biscuits? Cookies?" I asked and he laughs, shaking his head as he disagree with me.

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.
