"Woah, this tree house is amazing." I murmured, glancing around in awe.
The house was enough to fit at least five person and was built with the trunk of the tree being in the middle. Flower pots were set up in the mini patio and wooden fence to prevent someone from falling unto the high ground.
There's a ladder that leads you up the tree house. Excitement in my system at being able to try it out.
He glanced at me briefly, a ghost of smile on his lips as if reminiscing."I know."
"Can we go up?" I ask, clasping my hand together.
"You've never been to a tree house before?" He wonders, staring at me.
"Sadly I didn't." I avoided his eyes, growing embarrassed."I haven't seen one either. This is my first time." I admitted.
He froze for a moment, staring at me in bewilderment."Don't you have friends before? This was everyone's childhood."
"Nobody wanted to play with the kid who gets easily sick. I was known as the diseased girl before." I chuckled, trying to ignore the way my heart pinched.
"What about Neo? You're twins right?" He scratched the back of his head, somehow sensing my unease.
"We are but Neo was and still is the social butterfly between us. I wouldn't want to impose on him." I answered truthfully.
Not wanting to talk about it any further, I stepped forward and took a hold of the rope and starting to climb on it.
When I was on top, I quickly leaned against the railing. Tyrone staring at me, his honey eyes intense.
"We don't have all day Tyrone!" I shouted, taking note of how the flowers bloomed beautifully.
A few creaks can be heard as Tyrone climb up. His head popping from the opening before pulling himself up.
Making his way to the door. I found myself following after, stopping him in his tracks and turning to look at me.
"Why'd you stop?" My brows furrowed, glancing at the door briefly before turning back to him.
"You can't come inside." He bit out, a scowl forming on his lips.
"Why?" I asked, suddenly feeling like an idiot for being so excited.
"This is a sacred place between my friends and I. Meaning you don't have the privilege to enter, besides, we aren't officially friends." He states, his voice stern.
"I understand, I'll be just waiting here then." I felt a pang of hurt at his words but covered it up with a smile instead.
He looked at me for a second before making his way inside. Turning to stare at the green scenery while I waited for him.
At the sound of the door closing, I let my lip tremble. Trying to keep my tears in bay as his words stung deeply.
I tried to keep my emotions in check. The door opening a few minutes with Tyrone holding a map.

"Are you ready?" He asks, turning to me.
Covering my pain, I gave him a smile."Ready as I'll ever be carrot."
∞
"Are you sure about this?" I asked, wiping a bead of sweat on my forehead.
Its been exactly thirty minutes since we started our hike. Tyrone was the one who insisted to read the directions since it was natural for the males to lead as what he said.
The urge to strangle him was strong.
gender equality is a serious issue nowadays.
It seems that he wasn't that great at leading since we've been going in circles and my muscles were starting to scream at me, a few times where I almost trip on some rocks and twigs.
Who even manages to trip unto some twigs?
"Of course I'm sure." Tyrone snapped, his brows furrowed as he stared at the map.
I shrugged."Can't blame me for asking since we've been passing through the same damn bushes." I pointed out, earning a scowl on his handsome face.
Tyrone glanced at the bush, back to me, before he blinked."Yes, I'm aware of that." He coughed slightly.
Walking up to him, I snatched the piece of paper from his grasp."By the rate we're going, we might as well end up camping here." I said, making him glare at me.
He didn't bother protesting, merely choosing to cross his arms across his chest.
Turning to the paper, a frown settled on my face, taking in the 'map' that Chica was so kind to offer to us.
"Are you kidding me right now?" I mused out, glancing at the brooding carrot."What kind of map is this?" I flatly asks.)
(AN: I suck at drawing and yes, that's my handwriting. Sorry lol)
"How did you even managed to confused at this neatly drawn map?" I asked, a teasing smile on my lips, finding amusement to this.
That earned me his famous blank stare, my smile widening.
"Follow me sir." I mocked him, a huff leaving his mouth as he followed after me.
"You know, there's nothing wrong in admitting in needing some help." I commented, bending down to avoid some branches.
"I'm a boy and you're a girl." He stated, as if it was the answer to my words.
I gave him a sideway glance."That's complete bullshit. Women can do the things that you guys do." My feminist side speaking up.
"Can you pee while standing?"
A scoffed left my lips."Absolutely. Boys aren't the only one who can pee on the shower."
"Have you seen a female worker working at a construction sight?" He continued, giving me a look.
"I haven't been to one." I answered honestly.
"Women are strong, emotionally and mentally but I believe you lack in the physical department." Tyrone said, earning a glare from me.
"Really? If your mom wasn't physically strong then I don't think you'd be here right now Tyrone." I snapped, completely offended at what he said.

He paused, seeming to let my words sink in before sighing."That's how the world sees it. I'm just saying my opinion."
Rolling my eyes."Well your opinions sucks balls. I think you should do something about that because that's absolutely sexist." I grumbled.
"I didn't say I was a saint." He shrugged, letting out a slight grunt.
I didn't bother replying, absolutely annoyed at his shitty attitude. The ground shifted and I knew this was the unbalanced land that was referred to in the map.
Turning to face Tyrone, my cheeks redden when I caught him staring at my legs. Rolling the paper, I whacked him on the face.
"Stop thinking with your dick and keep your eyes up carrot." I scolded him, narrowing my gaze.
He shrugged, bringing his gaze back up."I was merely admiring the view."
I let him walk past me, throwing a glare behind his back. His shirt had a sweat patch and I guess this time around he wasn't being an alien.
The trees around us was starting to thin out, meaning that we might be coming closer to our final destination.
A smile graced my lips at the thought before my footing got messed up, gravity pulling my body in seconds.
My hand came up to hold on something for support and guess what I managed to pull.
The fucking air.
I fell to the ground, my body rolling like it was a soccer ball and bumping my side into a tree. The stings on my legs and face indicate my mini-cuts from the rocks.
"Clumsy motherfcker," I wheezed out, holding into my sides.
Tyrone came rushing up to me."Are you okay? What hurts?" His eyes scanning my whole body for serious damage.
"Everything." I wheezed out, clutching my sides.
Tyrone pulled me up but the pain that flashed in ankle had me letting out a gasp. Almost falling back to ground if it weren't for his hold on me.
Setting me down on the ground, he kneeled in front of me. His handsome features twisted into a concern one as he glanced at my feet.
He made me sit down, inspecting my foot. He pressed down a few times, in a different spot making me wince.
"Its not that serious. We just need to put some ice on it." He mumbles, mostly to himself.
I felt something warm gnaw at me, looking at how his brows furrowed adorably on his face or how gentle his hands felt on my skin.
He seemed to notice my face before he looked confused,"You sprained you're ankle and yet, you're smiling like you saw your famous idol or something. It's creepy." He commented, before giving me a weird look.
My smile dropped slightly but I managed to cover it with an awkward laugh before wincing when I somehow managed to move my ankle.
He stood up before looking around us and sighing,"Let's go back." He suddenly announced, looking down at me.
"Wait what? No, I can walk. It's jus-Ah!" I let out, grimacing when I tried to stand up but only ended up falling on my butt.
"You can't, let's go back." He said, before dropping down to me.
"No! I'm not going back. We have to finish this condition." I argued, shaking my head.
"You need to put ice on your ankle or else it'll get worse." He snapped, his lips pursing in anger.
"I can manage, I want to finish this condition. It's not like my leg is broken or something." I stubbornly said, not wanting to give up on the condition because of a stupid strain.
"Why are you so fucking stubborn? Can't you see you're hurt and all you care about is the stupid condition. Chica will understand." He fumed, cursing in anger.
"I have an idea," A sudden smile grew on my face.
"Whatever it is, the answer is No." He glared at me, seeming to know what my idea was.
"Tyrone! Don't be like that! We have to fulfill the condition! I'm not even that heavy!" I whined, pulling at his arm.
He pinched the bridge of his nose,"Fine but you better keep your mouth shut or else I'm dropping you." He said, before turning around and offering his back.
"Yes! A piggyback ride!" I cheered, before jumping on his back.
He stumbled slightly at the force of my weight,"Damn it, What did I say Zoe?" He snapped, before wrapping his arms on my legs and standing up.
I wrapped my arms loosely on his neck, "Oops, sorry." I whispered before shutting up.
I decided to keep quiet and follow what he said since I'm very sure that he wouldn't hesitate on dropping me to the ground.
He started walking, not even struggling even though he was carrying me. At this proximity, I can smell his perfume that I found is so satisfying. Why can't girls smell like this 24/7?
"Can I rest my head on your back?" I asked, suddenly seeming tired.
He seemed to contemplate it for a few seconds before he sighed, nodding slowly.
I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face as I laid my head. As the minutes passed, I suddenly let out a tired yawn and without even thinking, completely fell asleep.

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.

The Heretic Legion
Cover Art: Undead Master by Changling Assassin. Located at: http://fav.me/dbm60ex Used under license Creative Commons attribution non-commercial 3.0 per bottom right of the linked page. Summary: Just the story of a necromancer and his eventual army. Currently, the only major thing of note is a pretty fleshed out magic system. No set list of spells or specific incantations. Just rules similar to the laws of physics, within those laws you can do whatever is possible. Updates: I work Sunday thru Wednesday and updates tend to revolve around my scheduled days off. Currently, I release content as I feel it's ready for release because that's what I myself would prefer from an author. Warnings: This story is graphic. blood/necromancy magic that requires self-harm to use. explicit descriptions of sexuality. (though fairly tame outside of the marked chapters, at least compared to said chapters) and is generally darker in tone. If you're concerned you might start to read only to be turned off by these elements. See 7. Teetering on the Edge for an example of the graphic nature of violence or 9. Explicit Content for a fairly self-contained example of the most explicit of the sexual content.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.

Knights of the Partition
We like to think there are no monsters. No magic, no gods, nothing waiting in the night but the stars and cold, hard science. It’s a comforting thought. It isn't true. Magic isn't common, mind you. Working forces is difficult in the Age of Man, and gods are limited in the ways they interact with the world. The great monsters of old have mostly been slain, or sealed away. But rare or not, the magic isn't gone. The great Working that protects us from the horrors of the past does not have the power to destroy such things. Instead, it created the Partition, a tapestry of worlds beyond the boundary of our own. There the magic roams, searching for a way to come back. I am a Knight of Avalon. One of the protectors of the Partition. How did I get this job? Poor decisions, mostly.
