"Who's a good boy? You are! Yes you are!" I cooed, rubbing grumpy's ears.
He looked at me with his usual droopy eyes, tail not wagging, and completely stiff.
I chuckled, amusement lacing through me because he reminds me of how much Tyrone acted when we first met.
"He hates it when you baby him, he's a big boy now radish, see? He totally agrees with me." He remarked, referring to the wagging tail of grumpy upon hearing his voice.
I rolled my eyes,"I don't get how you managed to form a bond with him. He's freaking emotionless when it comes to me but when he sees you his tail freaking wags! It's not fair," I pouted, scratching grumpy's ear.
He placed the picnic basket infront of us, taking a seat next me and leaning on the tree comfortably.
The wind hummed softly around us, adorable screams of children playing and parents chattering filled the park.
The sun shone gently above us, it felt like a warm caress of a loved one and it didn't mind me one bit.
It seems like the sun didn't want to ruin the children's fun today, a smile played on my lips at the thought.
"Why are you smiling? You look like the weird cat in Alice in the wonderland." Tyrone raised a brow, taking grumpy from me.
I smiled even wider,"Does it bother you?" I moved closer to him, my voice turning into a low octave and serious tone.
He looked amused,"I don't get scared easily," He chuckled, placing a palm on my face and pushing me away from him.
I laughed, an amused grin forming on my lips. Two weeks have passed by since the incident and Tyrone has been healing well.
The bruises were basically non-existent except from the gash that was still healing, the doctor said it was gonna scar but that didn't bother him.
He even jokingly said that it'd be his little battle scar and would make him even look more 'deadly ass scary'
He wasn't mad that Aron chose the coward way to fight him instead he was seething when he saw my beatened up state.
I didn't know how creative Tyrone was with his curse words until he saw a glimpse of my bruises.
Sad to say, Aron still can't be found and his cronies.
"So, my mom wants to have dinner with you," Tyrone said, taking a tennis ball out of the picnic basket that made Grumpy perk up from his lap.
Ever since his mini confession, He felt more ease around me. He smiles more and even throws a joke here or there, giving me a glimpse of the Tyrone Adler that Jax and Chica get to see on a daily basis.
My panic attack though was something that he teases me alot or shut me up with. The nurses were actually called along with Addy, Chica, Jax, and Eliki.
They were worried on why I had it in the first place and grew confused as hell as to why Tyrone was laughing at me the whole time.
When they asked why, he just shrugged innocently and I quote said 'its our little secret' before giving me a wink.
There are a few times where I still annoy him or I'd give a remark that would earn me his famous blank stares.
Eh, doesn't even bother me that much.
Besides, he can't even last one minute before he'd crack a smile that would earn myself a mentally pat on the shoulder.
"I'm down, when is it?" I replied, taking the ball out of his grasp before throwing it.
Grumpy immediately bolted out of his position and ran after the ball. I couldn't help but giggle at how cute his little legs looked when he was running.
"Tomorrow night, You've been really getting along, haven't you?" Tyrone mused out, his attention on grumpy who was now struggling to bite the ball.
"Who wouldn't though? You're mom's cool," I shrugged casually.
Tyrone chuckled,"Where'd you think I got all this cool from?" He boasted, glancing at me.
"I don't know, why would you ask me?" I sassed, a serious look on my face.
I couldn't stop the laughter that bubbled in me after he gave me his infamous blank stare. He glared at me playfully before taking something out of the picnic basket.
"You wouldn't!" I gasped, my eyes narrowing on him.
"Oh would I?" He smirked, opening the packet of maltesers slowly.
Tyrone Adler smirked and I felt my throat dry at how sizzling hot he looked with it.
He was wearing his lip ring today and damn it, my ovaries literally went overdrive when he came to pick me up earlier and saw it glinting innocently at me.
"Typical bad boy question but did it hurt?" The words were out of my mouth before I could even comprehend.
He paused,"My lip ring? It did but t'was worth it." He answered before running his tongue lightly on the ring.
I, being the hormonal teenager, became awestruck before a smirked once again, graced his lips. I snapped out of my trance and slapped his shoulder, throwing a glare at him.
"Stop that," I demanded, my hazel-grey eyes meeting with his mischievous ones.
A sly grin fell on his lips before he leaned in slightly,"Does it bother you?" He said, making my breath hitch.
I shrugged,"What if I say it does?" I answered, leaning in closer and at this point, we were almost nose to nose.
Brave soul aren't I?
A flash of surprise can be seen in his eyes before it was gone. I don't know if it's just me but his brown eyes suddenly turned a shade darker and the intensity of his stare made me pause.
I gulped and was about to say something when a bark cut me off. Our attention snapped to the sound and saw Grumpy pushing the ball towards us.
Tyrone was the one who broke away from our staring moment, He stood up, picking the ball before running away which made Grumpy chase after him.
I leaned back on the tree, taking deep breaths and calming my erratic heart.
What exactly are you doing to me Tyrone Adler?
"It's just the freaking Adlers Zoe, no need to get your thong in a twist." I mumbled, my eyes eyeing the simple two-storey house.
It screamed elegance despite its simplicity.
I rang the doorbell before taking a deep breath. My hands going down to unconsciously smoothen the possible wrinkles on my outfit.
The door opened and a cute sight greeted me. A little girl, not older than 5, held a tail-wagging Grumpy on her arms.
Emma Adler.
She is a beauty and I could already tell that she'd be a heartbreaker when she grows up from her curly dark hair, pouty lips, and doe ocean blue eyes.
I've met her at the hospital when Tyrone was brought in but she was really sleepy and wasn't in the mood to socialize. She didn't get to visit Tyrone also since she had classes at her daycare and her mom didn't want to expose her to possible illness at the hospital.

She arched a brow at me,"Awe you just gonna stand there and wook at me or awe you gonna come inside?"
My eyes widen at her words and I felt myself gape at her attitude. She didn't exactly have the same features like Tyrone but I could sure as hell tell they got the same attitude.
Suddenly loud footsteps could be heard and viola, Tyrone Adler graced us with his very fine presence.
"Emma Marie Adler! How many times do I have to tell you to not open the door alone?" Tyrone scolded.
Emma merely batted an eye at her older brother,"A few times Roro and I'm not exactly alone. I have gwumpy here with me." She replied, patting grumpy's head.
Tyrone let out a sigh before turning to look at me,"Hey radish, welcome to my humble abode," He greeted, a warm smile plastered on his lips.
"What see-Oh! Zoe! Come in! Come in! Aren't you both rude? You should've let her come inside first before doing small talks," She gave the two a playful glare.
"It's okay Addy," I chimed in, a smile plastered on my lips.
She shook her head before ushering me inside the house. The two siblings and grumpy following suit.
"I'm finishing up dessert and then we could eat dinner. Your dad is on his way. Emma wanna help me on the cupcakes?" Addy asked, glancing her youngest.
At the word 'cupcake', Emma hastily set Grumpy down before clasping her hand unto her mother with an excited grin.
"Make yourself at home sweetie," Addy chirped before letting an excited Emma pull her back in the kitchen.
Tyrone stepped forward,"Are you up for a tour radish?" He asked, a boyish smile on his lips.
"Lead the way carrot," I beamed, following after him.
The living room had an comfy looking L-couch and coffee table. A flat 45-inch screen tv is plastered on the wall and there's a small book shelves on each sides full of albums and books.
Family pictures were hung up on the walls upstairs and I found myself studying one picture in particular.
A younger Tyrone held a crying 2 year-old Emma on his shoulders. He was wearing nothing but swimming trunks showing of his tanned and lean upper body while Emma was wearing a cute baby two-piece.
Tyrone was grinning at the camera while Emma had her small fist curled up and was covering her teary eyes with it. Addy was standing beside Tyrone and seemed to be scolding him while his dad, was crouched behind her and had a panicked expression looking at what seemed to be a ruined sand castle.
"Dad accidentally ruined Emma's sand castle and mom thought it was me." Tyrone explained, a barely there smile on his lips as he too, looked at the framed picture.
I laughed lightly,"I could tell from your dad's expression," I pointed out, turning to look at him.
Tyrone nodded quietly, still studying the picture. I couldn't help but notice his lack of enthusiasm when it comes to talking about his dad or when he is brought up.
He seemed to notice my stare and glared at me; dont ask is what he's trying to say.
I gave him a warm smile before gesturing upstairs,"Let's continue?" I offered, trying to keep his mind off on what he's thinking.
A smirk suddenly fell on his lips and without even a reply turned around and continued climbing upstairs.
Bipolar Carrot
"This is the game/play room," He plainly said, entering the first room.
The walls were painted a light pastel green. On the right side of the room is a big flat screen tv and an xbox, cd games were neatly arranged on shelves and only a few were scattered on the ground.
While on the left side of the room had a large white shelves where barbies and dolls were arranged. Legos were scattered on that side and teddy bears were on the ground along with a few spongebob play toys.
"This was kinda my game room but eversince Emma was born, I kinda had to share." He explained, before picking the random cd's and putting them back on the shelves.
The last room on the hall was the master's bedroom and each room had their own bathroom. Emma's room and his were facing one other
When we reached his room, he turned so fast I almost bumped into him. He stared at me for a moment resulting in me raising a questioning brow.
"Just give me a minute," He abruptly said before opening his door and closing it fast that I couldn't even get glimpse of inside.
I couldn't help but chuckle at his odd behavior.
Not a minute passed before it opened and revealed a blank-faced Tyrone. He opened the door wide enought for me to slip inside.
A typical male room would consists of half-naked female posters on the wall, clothes strewn on the floor, a messy bed, and a brooding odor.
But considering this is Tyrone we are talking about, I knew better than to dwell on those measly expectations.
The walls were bare of posters adored with a simple gray color. The bed was made and not even a wrinkle can be seen, it had black pillows and a fluffy looking comforter.
He had a desk on the corner of his room where books were neatly piled, a mac laptop, and a few pens were scattered.
There is a walk-in closet and a door which I'm sure leads to his bathroom.
"It's . . boyish,"
Tyrone had an amused expression on his face,"You suck at giving compliments radish," He pointed out, taking a seat on his king-sized bed.
I glared playfully,"It isn't your typical male room but its you we're talking about so I shouldn't be suprised." I shrugged and opted to take seat on the edge of his desk instead.
"What's that suppose to mean?" A confused expression crossed on his face.
he looks adorable, my subconscious cooed
I couldn't help the blush that adorned my cheeks and thank god for deep coverage foundation.
"Nothing to worry your handsome head carrot," I cheekly smiled and yes, I used the word handsome.
"Handsome?" He wondered, raising a prefectly arched brow.
"Would you prefer pretty?" I mocked, rolling my eyes.
"You're pretty," He fired back, a serious expression suddenly gracing his face.
I felt my eyes widen at his words before I reeled my shock in and let my usual self handle it.
"Oh really?" I dared, my eyes meeting with his.
At my words, Tyrone stood up from the bed and made long strides towards me. I was about to stand up when he slipped his hand between the space of my waist and arm that was resting on the desk and did the same to the other side, completely trapping me.
I felt my breath hitch at the close proximity.
"W-what the m-midfudlingkins are y-you doing?" I couldn't help but stutter the words out.
He simply ignored what I said and continued staring at me. I could feel his stare wander across my face and I felt myself redden even more.
"Look at me Zoe," He demanded softly and without even thinking looked up.
A shade of chocolate brown clashing unto my hazel-grey ones.
The intensity of his stare made me lean back slightly and gulped. My eyes closed in accord when one of his hand gently carresed my cheek.
"You are so damn beautiful Zoe Smith," He said with such sincerity and force that it almost made me forget how to breath.
"B-but y-you,"
"I like your freckles," He huskily said,"Please don't cover them up."
"I d-don't and people tend to stare you know," I mumbled, mustering the courage to meet his eyes.
He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear,"I would've too considering how fascinating your freckles are." He said, my eyes opening at his words.
"Do you know how many girls would die to have freckles? I see some women doing weird shit on the internet just to have that beauty mark," He remarked, shaking his head slightly.
I shrugged in answer which earned a sigh from him.
"I didn't know you were such a negative thinker. Fuck them radish, embrace what you are and do you." He said, his frustration evident on his voice.
"I believe you," I mumbled, shyly looking away from his eyes.
"Do you really?," He answered, narrowing his eyes at me.
This time, I couldn't stop the genuine smile from spreading on my lips.
"Yes carrot, I believe you." I repeated, giggling slightly.
He looked at me for a few seconds. When he was fully satisfied with what he saw, he finally pulled away and I discreetly took a deep intake of air.
He smiled,"That is what you call a compliment radish," He pointed out and without wasting a second kissed me on the cheek.
I felt my mouth drop in shock and eyes widen like a size of a cheeseball.
He suddenly raised his hand up in a 'wait gesture'
"Wait! Before you hyperventilate or whatever reaction you are thinking. Do not overthink about it and take a deep breath!" He panicked out, taking a hold of my arm gently.
Few loud knock resonated around the room and our attention fleeted to the door.
"Hey! Mama says that when you have guests in your room, you're not supposed to close the doors!" Emma's little voice echoed on the other side.
Tyrone let out an annoyed sigh before going towards the door and opened it, revealing a crossed-armed Emma.
Grumpy was sitting beside her feet and looked curiously at Emma. The puppy's little head turning a little side-way while doing so.
"Yes riri, Mama did say that but that was for you when you're boy space friend, Jake, went to play with you in your room." Tyrone corrected, crouching infront of her.
"Boy space friend? You're mistaking Roro, its boyfriend." She frowned at her brother.
I couldn't help but mentally 'aw' at their matching nicknames and how they interact with one another. I couldn't see Tyrone's eyes but I knew he was looking at his younger sister with complete adoration.
Tyrone shook his head,"No Riri, its boy friend. There's a space. Distance between the two words." Tyrone repeated, this time slower.
Emma was the one to sigh this time.
"Roro, there's no distance needed. Jake and I are close so there's no need for that. Listen carefully okay? It's boyfriend." Emma angrily argued, her eyes turning to slits as she glared at his brother.
I let out a faint giggle.
"Emma," I called out, making my way towards the door.
I stood behind a crouched Tyrone and could feel the warmth he emits on my exposed knees.
"You see there's a difference between a boyfriend and a boy space friend," I started, my eyes meeting hers.
She stil had her arms crossed and was angrily glaring but she nodded her head at me as if to say continue.
"When you say someone is your boy space friend then you only hug but when you say boyfriend then you get to hug and kiss." I explained carefully.
She paused for a complete minute,"It's definitely boyfriend," She mumbled, mostly to herself.
Tyrone heard it though and immediately tensed up before standing suddenly.
"What?! You kissed?!" He exclaimed, his eyes widening.
Emma Adler gave his brother a toothy grin in reply, her ocean eyes twinkling with mishief.
"Mom said that dinner's ready," She replied and with those words, dashed downstairs.
"EMMA MARIE ADLER!"

Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts.
