《Protected by BTS》Chapter 7: Poor, Oblivious Jungkook

You scurried back into the sleeping position you woke up in, placing the tape and needle over your arms, pretending like it was still in you and that you hadn't moved. Jungkook was having a hard time opening the door with the tray of tea in his hands, but eventually maneuvered a way in. He hadn't noticed anything different with your sleeping position and placed the tray beside the bed.
You heard his footsteps walk toward the other door of the room, which you assumed to be the bathroom. Hearing the opening and closing of the door, you knew you could open your eyes. Jungkook had just used his bathroom and now was the time you could sneak up on him.
You quickly scanned the room to find nothing useful for you to defend yourself with. Then your eyes landed on the hot tea. You grabbed it and heard the toilet from the bathroom flushing. The water from the sink was heard moments after and you had to act fast.
You opened the teapot and Jungkook opened his door. Oh poor, oblivious Jungkook.
His eyes widened at the now awoken girl 2 feet in front of him with scalding hot tea. Your first instinct was to throw it at him. You threw the contents of the pot towards his direction and he quickly dodged the boiling water. His immediate response brought his hands to cover his face and his right arm stung as he hadn't dodged all of the water. You had burned his forearm. He hissed slightly and you took the chance to bash his head with the teapot. The impact disabled Jungkook and he fell onto his bedroom floor unconscious with a low grunt.
Spending no more time on your supposed attacker, you ran out the room. It led to a small loft surrounded by other doors that you assumed were other bedrooms. One wall connected to a spiraling staircase which you took down to an even larger living room space.
It was like an open studio with a large kitchen and dining room table that connected to another larger living room. On parallel sides were 2 long hallways and another wall had another set of staircases going up.

However, once you saw the elevator, you ran to it. The door opened after a few moments, which had you on edge even more. You weren't sure how long the man you had knocked unconscious would stay unconscious.
"Jungkook-ah! Where are you going?" A voice from one of the hallways echoed but you couldn't see them. You did not want to wait to see and miraculously the elevator doors opened.
You pressed the lowest floor possible, but it was only to level 7. You pressed it and the elevator doors closed descending you closer to the ground.
As the doors opened again, you were in a small office room. It was empty and lead to another door. You slowly opened the door to see that the room it lead to was also empty. You let out a sigh of relief and treaded carefully. You were in some office building. Looking down, you realized you felt out of place, seeing as though you were in a filthy robe with nothing but undergarments underneath.
You heard more and more voices from other hallways you passed but were fortunate enough not to come into contact with anyone. It seemed as if you were in a more secluded part of the building. You were thankful and followed the exit signs.
You smiled as you finally found an exit -- the emergency exit. But, you thought it best not to draw attention to yourself and not have the alarm alert everyone in the building. You continued on your way and saw a sign that displayed "Lobby."
That could be your exit and so you headed that way.
Not too far away, Taehyung and Jimin were holding the bags of takeout in their hands. They had entered through the lobby and were going to bring you and the boys some food. They were considerate enough to buy lunch just as they said they would.
"Did you get the bibimbap?" Taehyung asked Jimin as they maneuvered around the floor. They were getting deeper into the office floors, on the way to the penthouse. They were already at the secluded area only meant for them. Unlucky enough, that's where you were.

"What do you think? Of course I got-" He stopped midsentence when they turned a corner and saw you a few feet in front of him.
You looked up at them and your eyes widened. You gasped before sprinting back to where you came from. Jimin dropped the food and immediately went after you. "Aish, hey! Wait!"
Taehyung saw the food Jimin dropped on the floor and shook his head. Aigooooooo the food.
He picked the dropped bag of food up and briskly walked towards where you and Jimin had ran off to. A call sounded from Taehyung's pocket. Taehyung tried to juggle all the food in one hand as he answered the call from Jin.
"The girl is gone! Namjoon said go to the front desk and check the security-"
"Ahhh, don't worry hyung. We found her." Taehyung interjected and reassured.
After Jimin ran after you, you yelped in surprise after seeing a man right on your heels. Jimin's physically fit body helped him quickly catch up to the you. That and you were currently very weak.
You had tried to get to the emergency exit you saw earlier but Jimin tackled you just in time.
He wrapped his arms around your torso and pulled you down. Jimin was nice enough to break the fall but then rolled on top of you, pining your hands above your head.
"Hey! Get off me! Someone! Help!"
Jimin pulled both of your wrists together in one hand so he can use the other to shut you up. He clamped his hand on your mouth. "Aish! Would you be quiet!? We're not going to hurt you! ... anymore. Sorry about-" He stopped as soon as you licked his hand.
"Ew! Hey!" He didn't take his hand away but remarked in disgust.
"Ugh! I'm going to take my hand away. You aren't going to scream or run. We're just going to go back upstairs and talk. Okay?"
You calmed down and nodded.
"Promise?" He added and you nodded.
What do they take me for? An idiot?
Jimin smiled genuinely and rolled off of you. He helped you up and you glanced over to the emergency exit you saw earlier. Jimin had blindly trusted you until you suddenly pushed him. He stumbled slightly but fell because of the chair to his side.
You sprinted towards the emergency exit and immediately after you pushed the door open, an annoyingly loud alarm started to ring.
You took 2 steps outside before the same hand wrapped around your waist and then quickly threw you over his shoulder.
Taehyung walked in and didn't seemed phased by the girl on Jimin's shoulder.
"YAH! THE ALARM IS FROM HER! DON'T WORRY HYUNG WE'LL BRING HER BACK UPSTAIRS." Taehyung had to yell into the phone because of the blaring emergency alarm.
"HEY PUT ME DOWN!"
"WHAT?! WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
"I SAID PUT ME DOWN!"
"OHHH! NO, YOU BROKE OUR PROMISE!"
"WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR? AN IDIOT? GET YOUR FREAKING HANDS OFF OF ME!"
You yellingly conversed because of the loud alarm. Your arms threaded and slapped his back, but Jimin didn't seem fazed by your actions. They couldn't open the elevator yet because of the alarm system. But within a couple more minutes of more yelling and arguing, the alarm stopped.
"Finally!"
"C'mon, Jin hyung is waiting upstairs." Taehyung said. Taehyung and Jimin with you on his shoulder started to walk into the elevator.
You made a last attempt to writhe your way off his shoulder. His grip tightened under your thighs to stop you from kicking him, "Hey wait! Let me go! Hel-"
"This again? Stop struggling." Jimin said as he pressed the button for the elevator to go their penthouse. Then the doors closed.
Once they got to the top floor, Jin came running down the stairs, "Ah good. You found her!" Jimin set you down and held your shoulders so you couldn't run out on them again. He made sure to have a firm grip this time and not trust you too much.
"Mm. Where's Jungkookie?" Jimin responded.

Displacement
or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
