《Protected by BTS》Chapter 16: Stupid Kid

The car ride wasn't as long as you had anticipated it to be. Soon enough, it had pulled up to a seemingly large and abandoned warehouse. They escorted you inside and you saw large shipment crates to which you were too scared to even fathom what it could behold.
It was like a maze and they guided you deeper and deeper into the warehouse. Your pace was slower than theirs as you were curious and looked around. You had started falling behind and the guy behind you had shoved you forward. You gripped and stumbled a few steps in that direction before glaring at him.
You continued walking, being sure to keep the pace until you were in another part of the warehouse. There was a set of stairs leading to what you believed was a run down old office. It was much more modern than you and thought when they pushed the metal door open.
There was a few couches and beanbags on one side of the wall, a laptop, a refrigerator, and money counting machines on the tables. You were pushed inside as they urged you to take a seat. You did and they shut the door on you, leaving you alone.
You sat on the couch, being sure to calm your breathing. You were doing pretty well handling the anxiety attack, and now all you had to deal with was your actual kidnappers. If only you had obeyed the boys and not left the house.
Your father was still out there and you had a duty to save him. There was no way you were going to let it end here. You jogged to the laptop and tried to see what you could do for it. Unfortunately enough, there was no battery on it.
Groaning, you slammed your fist into the desk. Immediately after, a loud voice from outside could be heard from the room they were keeping you in.

"Where the fuck is she?!"
In two seconds, the door to the room was thrown open and before you could panic and cry, you felt relieved at seeing the familiar face.
"RM oppa?" Your jaw hung and your eyes widened.
Namjoon sighed as he ran toward you, enveloping you into a hug. You stiffened at the sudden physical contact and were reluctant to even hug him back. The other boys poured into the room before Namjoon had released you from the hug, realizing you hadn't even hugged him back. He had stepped a little away from you before brushing his nose, hiding the few tears in his eyes.
The boys looked at him and you in concern as you were too busy watching Namjoon. You couldn't understand why he cared for you so much.
"Why? Why did you leave the house?" Seokjin spoke first.
You had no real answer to give them.
Yoongi continued, "He asked you a question. MiSun-ah, just tell us why you left? Were you trying to run away?" You opened your mouth but Hoseok cut you off, "If this is about your father, you can't go looking for him on your own."
"Did we do something?" Jimin asked with puppy dog eyes.
"Was Jungkookie being annoying?" Taehyung said very seriously.
Jungkook was somewhat offended, "Hey, I-!"
"It's not like that." You said quickly before any of the other boys could jump to conclusions.
"Then, why?!"
"I-I just needed a breather! I needed a clear headspace and wanted to take a walk! I'm sorry for worrying you, okay?"
They stayed quiet. No one knew what to say after your small back talking. That was until Namjoon fully retaliated, "You ... you walked out of the house with no protection with those people still out there looking for you?!"

You gulped and slightly nodded.
"You're joking?" Seokjin said incredulously and Jimin added, "Tell us you have a better reason."
You slowly shook your head in response.
Seokjin's eyes went wide, "I could've taken you for a walk! MiSun you can't be serious that this is the reason!"
"Why would you be so reckless?" Hoseok added.
Namjoon yelled before you could even respond. "God, you're such a stupid kid! I thought you were supposed to be smart! But how? You don't use your damn head! Damn it MiSun. Aish, that is such a stupid reason, you're just a stupid kid." Namjoon muttered the last part to himself but it was unfortunately audible enough for everyone else.
You lost it. You never were one for confrontation, but everything you've been going through the past few days have changed you already. You couldn't hold back your tears for the first time and you let them fall in front of them.
You lifted your head and met Namjoon's glare. However, his face and the boys' faces softened once they saw a few tears on your cheeks already.
"Okay y'know what!? Stop yelling at me for rules that I didn't ask for! Gosh, why am I still even here? I should be looking for my dad! I'm only here because you're supposed to be helping me find my dad.
But what have you been doing? Nothing! We aren't any closer to finding the people who took my father. Fine, call me stupid, whatever!
But when did you guys gain control over my life? You're the ones who even kidnapped me! I don't want anything to do with you guys, I didn't sign up for this. I didn't ask for any of this! So leave me alone!" You screamed and another tear dropped.
They looked a lot more guilty now and none of them knew what to say. You shook your head in disgust and ran out of the room.
In the next room, the men who had brought you there were standing guard. As they saw you leaving, they started to block your path. You grunted but then Namjoon had ordered them from behind you, "Let her go." You looked at him over your shoulder and then continued to run with no destination in mind. You had just wanted to get anywhere, as long as it wasn't there.
Yoongi ran out behind Namjoon to see what was going on until he saw your retreating figure. "I can't deal with this right now. Follow her," Namjoon said quietly to Yoongi and left the warehouse.
Yoongi nodded and had followed after you. You were pathetic in running around the large warehouse and trying to find some exit. Eventually, you had given up and hit a dead end. It seemed to be an empty, rundown hallway that wasn't in use.
You slapped the wall and let your shoulder press against the cool, hard surface. Your body slid down until you were crouching on the floor. The audible chocking noise from your throat was from you trying not to cry and control your breathing.
Yoongi walked in just a second later but you barely even noticed or cared. You were shaking from crying so much and Yoongi crouched down in front of you.
He didn't say anything but instead looked at you with a sweet melancholy smile. Yoongi opened his arms for a hug and you immediately took it as he tried soothing you from your cries.
