《Protected by BTS》Chapter 30: I'll Take That Chance

You pointed your gun in his direction.
"No more running Kyoung MiSun. Come with me." He said calmly and collectively. You found it odd at how relaxed he was, especially since you had a gun pointed at him.
"You... you lied to me!"
Even in the dark, you could see his smile. His smile looked genuine, but you knew it was sadism. He took slow but big strides towards you.
"Stop! I'll shoot! You emphasized your wrist and tightened your grip against the metal weapon.
"Oh, I know you will. But you're no killer. and besides, I bet your aim isn't great." He continued to walk slow steps in front of you. Unfortunately he was right. You weren't a killer. That doesn't mean you won't shoot still.
You aimed low to the ground and hoped to shoot his leg, a non critical area. You squeezed the trigger and hoped for the best. The shot rang out as a few of his men flinched. However, he barely flinched as the bullet grazed the outside of his shin. Unconsciously you smiled and were distracted for a moment in this small moment of victory. He took this as a chance to overpower you.
In a swift movement, he had ran towards you and shoved you against the wall. You yelped in surprise and tried to move your gun to aim at him once again. Your pathetic attempt was stopped as he used his hand to twist your arm and rip it away from your grasp.
You gasped in defeat and he threw you onto the floor.
You fell hard onto the cold concrete, scraping your knee and ripping your jeans. Brushing your hair out of your face, you looked to see him smiling once again. You wanted nothing more than to wipe that grin off of his face but you were outnumbered, you were powerless, you were weaponless. Looking around once more, you saw how many more men were surrounding you guys, you guessed about 10-15.
You gave up.
"Get it over with. You should just kill me already, ahjussi. At least I would get to see my father." You spit and glared. You have had enough. Dying seemed to be the only option in this case.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Jagiya, I don't want you dead." He bent down to your size on the floor.
Trying your hardest to seem intimidating, you scoffed, "You don't want me dead? Well I'm sorry I must have gotten the wrong idea when your men started to shoot at me!"
He laughed and walked over to one of his men. You watched in curiosity. "Hand me the weapon you were firing at her earlier." The man he had ordered, hurriedly gave up his firearm for his superior.
The man walked back to you and showed you the weapon. You examined it with your eyes, but it looked nothing more than another gun. "You see here is the weapon I instructed my men to shoot you with tonight." He looked away from you and within a milisecond, aimed and shot at his junior who had given him the gun in the first place. The man's body fell like a doll being dropped.
You gasped in horror, your eyes blown wide in confusion and horror at how cruel this man could be.
Noticing your expression, he explained, "Oh, calm down, MiSun." He looked away to the body, "Bring him to me!"
You were confused beyond hell at this point.
Immediately, the 2 men standing beside the body, started to drag their fallen peer to you guys. Once he was next to you, you looked on with curiosity. You instantly noticed the rising and falling of his chest, realizing that this man was definitely still alive.

"Let me make it clear: We definitely don't want you dead. I gave my men these guns because they are loaded with the fastest acting and strongest tranquilizer concoted from a black market biochemistry lab. This poor man probably won't be able to walk for a day or two when he wakes up. Maybe you should be lucky that I caught up to you before I was able to shoot you with one of these things." He stopped to pull out the tranquilizer from the body's neck. "I believe your father actually made this many years ago."
Your head was doing flips at this new information. "My father worked for you?!"
The man almost laughed, "No, you've got it all wrong. There's so much to explain to you jagiya, but I'm afraid you wouldn't understand any of it at all. So I suggest we do it at a later time hm? But this is enough proof that I wasn't going to kill you.
And I haven't killed your father either, if that was another question on you mind." He smirked and stood up properly, pulling you to stand up as well. You squirmed beneath his grip but the older man proved to be much stronger than you. Despite his older age, one resembling your father's, he seemed to be very much in shape. He was able to outrun you.
"For now, you're coming with us." He said as he quickly pulled your wrists together and held them in place with one hand. One of the men threw him a roll of duct tape, which he caught easily with the other hand. Before you could really struggle and get out of his grip, he was wrapping the tape around your wrists, over and over. The layers of tape on your wrist was thick and you tried their strength.
You pulled your wrists apart, trying to see if there was a way you could wriggle out of your new bonds. When he laughed at your attempt, you quickly tried to slap him with your hands together. As if predicting your movements. he caught your hands and twisted them into an uncomfortable locked position. You yelped helplessly and shut your eyes.
"Be careful around me, MiSun. I'm known to have a short fuse." He growled getting in your face and finally letting go of your arms. To be honest, it scared you. "Bring her with me to the office. The helicopter won't be here until another hour or two. I didn't expect you to come so early, MiSun. I for one would like to freshen up before then."
He glared at you before turning and walking to the direction of the shipping yard office that you had seen earlier. You stared at his retreating figure, wishing you had aimed that gun better, wishing you hadn't run into a dead end, wishing you hadn't fallen for his lie, wishing that you had told the boys where you were.
"How do you know that I didn't come alone?" You taunted as a last resort. "What if I told Bangtan?"
One of the men started to push you and you were walking a few feet behind the man, with another guy pointing a gun at your back.
"I worried about that too, Jagiya. Honestly, I thought you would be smart enough to tell them. But I know you didn't or else you wouldn't be taunting me. And when you first arrived, I had done a heat signature sweep on a 6 mile radius from you. There was no one but a truck driver. So I think you're alone MiSun." He explained calmly, not even bothering to look at you.

You huffed, wishing you had stayed quiet instead. You guys walked in silence, the only audible thing being the whistling wind and the sea only about a hundred feet to your left. Eventually, you guys had made it back to the brightly lit office, where his men had left you two alone.
It was a big 2 story building that was surrounded by small railings that looked over the sea. He paid you no attention as he was preparing food for himself.
You went to the balcony railings to look over the sea. The height was scary and you contemplated if jumping off of this right now would kill you.
He read you like a book. "Be my guest and jump. You won't die, but the hypothermia will probably get you."
You bit your lip and turned back to face him. He was already sitting down at the small table and his hand gestured for you to join him. You reluctantly sat down and saw he had prepared both of you food. It looked appetizing to say the least.
Beside your chopsticks for utensils, your eyes went directly to the knife he left for you. He clearly didn't see you as a threat and giving you a weapon seemed to be of no problem to him. You were going to make sure that he regrets that.
In silence, you ate. He finished rather quickly, but you took small nibbles of the food, having a hard time eating with your hands still tied together. Also you were unsure if he was drugging or poisoning you.
"Not hungry?" He stood up and started to clean the table and his plate. You responded with a curt "no," before he walked over to grab your plate. "I couldn't exactly eat with my hands tied."
"As a precaution, my dear." He was next to you already trying to grab your half eaten plate. Taking this chance, you grabbed the knife with both hands, quickly trying to find a good grip on it. You pulled your arms back in momentum and plunged the object towards his body.
The ahjussi blocked your attack once again and sighed, "When are you ever going to learn?" He tsked and you smiled. His hands were holding the knife and your wrists but you still could move your legs.
Swiftly, you brought your knee up and kicked him hard down there. His eyes widened, not expecting such a dirty move. He gasped for breath and fell onto his knees. You proceeded to kick him down there again for good measure. After receiving the blow, he fully fell on the floor, groaning in pain.
You took your chance to run out of the building and unluckily his men were on patrol. You had to sneak your way past them somehow. Running for cover behind yet another crate, you thought it was doable.
I should probably find a way to take off the tape binding my wrist. Where was that exit again?
A minuscule object flew past your arm and you tended up immediately. Turning around, you saw a man, a couple hundred feet from you, shooting at you. No time.
"Hey! You!"
"Stop!" You heard 2 distinguishable voices yell out.
You ran trying to find a new hiding spot. You had to get out of the shipping yard as fast as possible, before more men found you and before that ahjussi gets up from his bruised balls.
You were running around in the maze yet again, hoping that you wouldn't get lost or hit another dead end like last time. Taking random turns, you didn't recognize anything. It looked the same as earlier, obviously, but it was definitely different. You were in a much larger area space, where you assumed they loaded the crates onto ships, if any ships were there at the moment. The docks were currently empty, leaving a cliffing jump into the cold waters.
You looked behind you to see if anyone had perused you. Happily, you thought you had lost the ones that had found you but your luck wasn't too good today. A man turned the corner of a nearby crate and was stunned to see you. Being only a few feet away, he lunged at you. He grabbed hold of your arm and before he could entrap the rest of you, you elbowed his side. He grunted slightly and you ran closer to the edge of the docks overlooking the sea.
You were becoming trapped, seeing as more men were in the distance and closing in on you. The man you had elbowed earlier, attacked you once more, gripping your shoulders. He didn't expect you to put up a fight.
You didn't want to, seeing as he was bigger in build and could overpower you easily. You tried to knee him, like you did the ahjussi, but he released your shoulders to block you.
In the struggle, you both inched closer and closer to the edge of the dock's cliff. You tackled him to the floor and now you guys were about a foot from falling off the edge.
The other guards watched in fear, wondering if you two would fall. They had their guns directed at you both, but had no clear shot of tranquilizing you with their buddy also too close in contact with you.
He easily rolled you over and was on top. Your right leg dangled over the edge and you clearly understood how easy it could be to fall. You looked down and to the right at the perilous waters. The water was dark and the wind started to pick up. Your heart started to beat loudly, your palms felt sweaty with the duct tape, and anxiety building in your core.
The man holding you down didn't seem fazed by the height. He had gotten you pinned to the ground and your arms were already bound so you could not fight him anymore.
He had a nasty grin and you remembered the ahjussi's words: "You won't die, but the hypothermia will probably get you."
You didn't want to take your chances. He stood up and pulled you with him. Pressing his body against yours, he smirked lustfully, "Our boss didn't teach you a lesson. Maybe I should." He growled in your ear. The rest of the men, his friends and peers, only laughed and stayed their distance from you two.
Okay maybe I will take that chance now.
He was close enough to the cliff and you stepped one foot back, gaining power. You used all of your force to push the perverted man off the dock's cliff and into the water.
His eyes widened and instinctively to save himself, he held onto your arm, trying not too fall. His muscular build and body weight overpowered yours and he fell off, pulling you with him into the waters below.
