《Protected by BTS》Chapter 36: Set Up

During your punishment, you and Taehyung had sorted out all the major details of the night of the party. And Taehyung did not let you stand up during it. He waited for a full 45 minutes until Seokjin came to tell you to stand up. You promised yourself that you were going to try to obey their orders since you did not like being treated like a child.
That and Namjoon had promised you that he would get back your father. You had to trust him because if you were honest with yourself, you couldn't do it alone. Without the boys, you'd be dead already.
Currently it's been a week and a half of planning the party. The temperature in Seoul was much warmer than Ansan but being so high up will still be too cold to swim. Luckily, Taehyung had also mentioned that they can enclose the whole rooftop, including the pool, if it got too windy. Or whatever that meant. You didn't really understand how you can make the outdoor roof to an indoor floor.
Tonight was the night of the party. Taehyung had ordered food and shipped in a bunch of the members' favorite drinks. You also bought a cute karaoke machine to use because who doesn't love singing drunks? Since you were living with them and they basically provided everything for you, you had illegally purchased these items online.
And by that I mean I hacked all the websites in order to get them for free.
Taehyung was handling something for Bangtan, so you were left to set up everything by yourself. You also had to do it stealthily since Yoongi and Jungkook were home. This wouldn't be a problem though. Yoongi spent most of his days in his room lately since the tranquilizer still made him sluggish and lethargic. On the other hand, Jungkook should be working out at the gym, like always, so hopefully can sneak up the food and the karaoke machine without them noticing.
You had all of the members' home schedules memorized by now.
Taehyung had told you that the karaoke machine was waiting in the lobby's mail room and that the food would arrive there at 6pm. He said he would make sure they were both in the mail room so you could make a quick exit. You were going to have to get it all alone, which wouldn't be a problem, if you weren't allowed out of the penthouse. Tae was willing to break some rules in order for this party to happen.
Nearing 6pm, you went to Yoongi's room to make sure he was still there. Opening his door, you saw him working in his bed.

"Hey, Yoongi-ah. What 'cha doing?"
He barely looked at you while he continued typing away at his computer. "Just some work. I'm kind of grateful that I got hit with that tranquilizer. Work at home is always the best."
You laughed, knowing he probably won't be leaving this room for awhile. "Okay, oppa. Call me if you need me for anything."
He lazily waved you off. You exited his room entered the elevator to go to the lobby. The elevator ride seemed too long, as you were already anxious in hopes that none of the boys would figure out you were out of the house.
Reaching the 7th floor, the lowest level this elevator let you go to, you got out and stepped into the familiar office room. First task, you had to find the mail room. You seemed out of place with all of the older men and women in business suits bustling around the building. This front for Bangtan was really interesting.
Following the basic signs throughout the large building, you found the mail room on the second floor. With identification clearance, that Taehyung gave you, you placed his credentials in order to get into the room. It was a simple passcode and a ID verification number that you memorized. If anything, you could've hacked into it, but you guessed this was much easier.
Walking inside, you saw various mail slots and bins of packages inside. You would be completely lost if you had to find anything other than a large karaoke machine and boxes of food. Luckily, the bright colored machine and brown box of food stuck out in the corner of the room. Your stomach grumbles at the smell of the food and you smiled.
Holding the 3 boxes of food, your arms were already full. There was no way you could bring all of this in one trip. You were going to have to bring the food first and then the karaoke machine. Hopefully, none of the boys would notice and ruin the surprise.
You walked briskly, almost jogging, out of the mail room and up the stairs to the personal elevator to the penthouse. You could take the elevator but being in MIK Group's main office building made you stick out. It was best you take the stairs to the private elevator to the penthouse.
Your vision was almost blocked with the high stacked boxes of food. Reaching the last flight of stairs, you ran into a person. You stumbled back slightly, trying to maintain your balance and not drop the food.
The person you ran into quickly helped stabilize the food in your grasps to prevent it from falling over. You had a mini heart attack, but were thankful the nice stranger had helped. "Ah, thank you! I'm sorry I-" You looked up at the person and gasped audibly, "Ah!" You were shocked to see the person and you lost your footing on your back leg. You were about to fall backwards with the food until he caught the small of your back and pulled you to remain on the step.

The person held you close as their arms still wrapped around your lower back. They had saved you from falling down the stairs and from dropping the food. Honestly how clumsy can I be?! You internally scolded yourself.
"Look at that, I saved you again." Jungkook said in a somewhat annoyed tone of voice. you quickly jerked around to get his arms off but it was futile with how strong he was. "But what are you doing here, MiSun-ah? You're not allowed to be outside the penthouse?" Jungkook smirked playfully, knowing full well while you were there. He was secretly awake while planning all of this. He just wanted to tease you.
"I-I... uh... I... I can explain! Don't tell your hyungs!" You pleaded. You did not want another angry Namjoon or Seokjin.
Jungkook stopped acting serious and laughed out loud. His arms left your body and he looked amused, "Calm down." He continued to laugh, "I know about the party. I'm here to help." Jungkook took 2 of the boxes in your arms and held them with one hand. He walked up the stairs and you only stared at his retreating figure in shock. Stupid Jungkook and his stupid strength.
"Taehyung oppa told you huh?" You pouted and caught up to his side. Jungkook shook his head, "Nope. I'm just cool like that. I know everything, MiSun. Everything." He said intimidatingly messing with you.
You were genuinely confused as to how he knew, but you let it go. You were thankful that someone could help you set up now. Stopping in your tracks, you smirked. "Hand me the rest of the boxes, I'll bring them up. There's another thing in the storage room that I can't exactly carry up the stairs. Could you bring it for me then?"
"Sure." Jungkook said easily and made sure you had a good grip on the boxes. "What is it?"
You stopped yourself from smiling, "You'll know when you see it!" A crack of a smile befell your face as you started back up the stairs again, leaving Jungkook.
You made it to the familiar office and elevator, riding your way to the penthouse. Reaching the top, you walked to the roof to start setting up. It was kind've cold and you knew that you would probably have to enclose the rooftop. After a few minutes of laying out the food and setting up your little mini bar of drinks, Jungkook called from below the stairs of the roof.
You went to his voice and saw his annoyed glare. "You got a freaking karaoke machine?! Do you know how embarrassing it was for me to bring it up? I had to use the main elevator and all of the workers downstairs would not stop looking at me! It was embarrassing! Do you see how big this thing is?!" He gestures to the large karaoke machine while yelling from the bottom of the stairs.
You laughed and ignore him, "Hide it in one of the rooms for now! It's supposed to be a surprise!" Jungkook grumbles a response too soft for you to hear before following your directions. A gush of wind blows through your hair and you remind yourself that it's too cold to do anything on the roof. Shivering, you look for some way to enclose the roof like Taehyung said.
Looking around hopelessly, Jungkook comes up the stairs and rolls his eyes. He walks over to an electrical box at the top of the stairs and opens it. You watch curiously as he presses one of the largest buttons on the panel. Instantly, the middle of the roof resurrected a pole from the floor to the sky. It outstretched like an umbrella around the entire floor of the roof and then surrounded the edges, making it as of the roof became an inside floor.
You gasped at the action and saw glass like windows form throughout the edges of the roof. You could still perfectly see the view of the city and the wind was gone. The roof basically looked like a greenhouse now.
You unconsciously smiled and Jungkook caught himself amused at your expressions. "Daebak." Was all you could mumble under your breath.
Jungkook liked seeing you in awe at the beautiful scenery, almost captivated. Then he came to his senses when his phone received a message. Pulling it out, he read the text message from Taehyung.
🥳🥳
"Hyung said they're on their way home now."
You were nervous but ensured yourself that you brought everything you planned for. "Okay. Let's go greet the members!"
