Billie Eilish - hostage
Reclining against the airline seat, Gideon relished in the coldness of the plane - the only thing that seemed to calm his fiery wrath. Ever since he paid the doctor to discharged him, his rage had continued to build, stacking like a game of Jenga. At any moment, someone was going to remove the wrong piece and his anger would boil over.
Everyone was practically walking on eggshells around him. They lowered their eyes, spoke when only spoken too and stayed silence, not disturbing him, the entire plane ride.
They land at their destination several hours later. Thanks to the delay of Rory's connecting flight they made it before her. He wasn't going to wait for her at the airport, instead he planned on surprising her with his early discharge news.
"How do you know she's coming here?" Sebastian questioned, glancing at him through the rear view mirror.
"Because I know her." He replied.
He knew her. He knew she had no other place to go besides returning to her father's mansion. She was going to come here and beg him to help her. But, Carl Smith will no longer be breathing once she reached him.
"Besides her father is due a visit."
This visit to the Smith's to the residence will the last. He was killing two birds with one stone. Her father had stole from him yet again. Gideon intended to let it slide since he was so madly in love with the man's daughter. But, thanks to her fucking up in Greece he had a reason to end Carl and a way to punish his wife.
The SUV halted in front of the gates. It brought back the memories of her that he treasured yet he it still did not calm his raging storm. It only made him angrier.
He thought they were going to be okay after the incident, that she would trust him now that she saw what he would do for her. Instead, she feared him more, looked at him with disgust. He wasn't a monster, never was, just a man in love. His actions were fuel by his love for her. Why couldn't she understand that?
As expected, Carl awaited for him on the porch step tugging nervously at his bolo tie.
"Gideon, how nice of you to come by." He swallowed, "What can I help you with?"
Fishing out a gun from his back pocket, he fired a bullet at Carl's knee cap, crippling him. He goes down with a wail of agony, crimson blood staining the ground.
Gideon stepped over him and marched into the mansion where Rory's brother, Henry, came rushing down the stairs dressed in brown suspender trousers and a white dress shirt. The boy stopped half way as he watched his father being dragged into the mansion by Gideon's men.
"Dad!" He gasped, watching the scene unfold with a horrified expression.
"Go back into your room, Henry." Carl groaned, sweat gathering on his forehead. "And stay there."
Gideon walked into the office, scanned around the room and each furniture reminded him of her. The two years he had spent watching from her from Carl's office, two years he had yearned for her and waited for her. He was in agony. Yet, she didn't care.

He kicked the desk, toppling it over, wiped the contents off the shelves and smashed up pictures which she was not present. He had saved her from an unloving home and brought her into one filled with love and warmth. Yet, she still didn't care.
He slumped down on the armchair near the window, dropping the gun on the windowpane.
"Please, Gideon." Carl begged, leaning against the toppled desk. "Let my wife and son go."
Gideon shot him a murderous glared, "You didn't beg for her."
He pursed his lips in silence, having no reply to Gideon's statement. He had given Rory up so easily over a month ago.
"You stole from me again."
Carl swallowed, not daring to look him in the eye. He thought he had been careful by using multiple bank accounts under fake identities. He was stupid, Gideon wasn't a man who's easily fooled.
"I was going to let you off."
The statement gave him hope and he looked up with a relieved expression.
"But, your daughter ran from me so, both of you will be punished."
The colour drained from his face. Carl clasped his hands together in a pleading manner. He knew Gideon after years of working with him - this man will not show mercy to him, a guilty man, but his family was innocent. He needed to make sure they were safe from harm.
"Please let my wife and children go." He implored. "I'm sure Rory meant no harm, she's just a confused girl."
"She's not confused!" He shouted, reaching for his gun. "She's a heartless bitch who won't accept me, who won't love me!" He aimed the gun at Carl's head. "Your death and theirs are her punishment as well as yours."
His finger pressed on the trigger and the sound of the bullets echoed through the mansion. Carl laid still as the light leaves his eyes.
Gideon heard a gasped, his head darted to the side and knew instantly the nosy boy was listening to them.
He flung open the door and saw the boy dashing down the hallway, towards the stairs. He followed and heard a gun firing from downstairs.
Sebastian had gun down Carl's wife as instructed. It was just this boy now.
Gideon aimed for his leg, causing him to trip down the staircases. The boy cried, dragging his wounded leg along. Just like his fathered he pleaded but Gideon merely ignored him. He felt no remorse as he shot several rounds into the boy's back, killing him.
He was not the first child Gideon had killed.

She glanced out the bus window, twisting the two rings on her finger. Rory rested her head against the headrest and watched the familiar city flashed by. It was comforting to be back to a place she knew.
During her flight, she thought about her options and it turned out she didn't have a lot. The only person she could turn to for help was her own father - the man who had given her up, the one who had started all of this.

She was still just 18 with nowhere to go. She just hoped he won't send her back to her husband or informed him of her whereabouts.
The bus pulled into her stop and Rory hurried off, pulling her hood low over head. She didn't want people to look at her face in question - she was still very much beaten up.
Several minutes later, she arrived at her father's mansion and to her surprised, the gates were opened. It was always closed when she lived here. She assumed it was because her father didn't want her leaving the mansion hence why he kept locked 24/7.
She climbed the porch steps and froze in her track at the sight of the pool of blood painting the entrance. The door had also been left ajar. She pushed it open with her palm and examined the foyer. It can't be robbery since her stepmother's valuable paintings and chinas were not taken. Besides that, there was nothing else indicting the mansion be robbed.
Rory stepped inside, her heart pulsing in her chest. She listened to her head and turned to leave but, a bright auburn hair, at the foot of the staircase caught her eye.
Henry.
"Henry!" She called in a shaky voice, dread filling. "Henry!"
He didn't answer so she stepped forward. It was one of his tricks again, she repeated in her head.
As she got closer, she paled at the sight of crimson surrounding him - he was leaking it. She clamped her hand over her mouth to stop herself from screaming. She ran to him, dropping her backpack to the ground.
"Henry!" She cried, shaking his body. He was cold and paler than usual. "Henry, wake up! This better not be one of your pranks, you loser!"
She couldn't stop the tears that fell down her cheeks. She rolled him over and meet his lifeless eyes. He was dead. She sobbed harder, cupping his cheek, her thumb gently stroking his face. They never got along but he was still her only sibling. Of course she was going to be sad.
"What happened, Henry?" She murmured, she leaned over his body, pressing her ears against his chest. It was feeble and stupid attempt of checking his heart beat. There was none, just silence. "What happened? Why are you laying here like this?"
An applaud reverberated in the room, startling her. She lifted her head, spotting a shadow emerging from the hallway and shrieked as she saw his face. Gideon. He was amused, smiling so proudly.
"You're acting like a caring big sister now that he's dead." He chuckled in a condescending manner. He leaned over the railings of the second floor. "My wife is so caring to everyone else but me."
He pushed himself off the railing and descended the stairs. Rory couldn't willed herself to move so instead she just sat and watched. Her mind was racing so fast that her body couldn't keep up. She hadn't quite yet grasped the danger she was in.
Gideon was too calm.
He crouch beside her, a hand covering the nape of her neck. He stroke it, his thumbing drawing tingling circles and then travelling up her scalp before fisting it roughly. She winced, her hands reaching back to ease the pain.
"You ran from me while I was hurt." He whispered lowly, "I got hurt while trying to save you and you betrayed me, betrayed our wedding vows." He gazed into her teary emerald eyes. "What do you have to say?"
When she didn't say anything, he fisted her hair tighter to the point she cried out.
"Let go, you're hurting me." She begged which only made him dig his fingers further into her head. He wanted an answer or else they'll continue sitting like this. "I'm sorry." She hastily apologised. "I'm sorry I ran away."
"You're not sorry, Rory." He gritted through his teeth. "You're just desperate to save yourself." Gideon chuckled at the last part. He was seething with anger now. She felt it burning through her skin, ready to eat her alive. "You only ever think about yourself, don't you?"
"That's not true." She protested which only earned her another rough tug.
"You never think about me or my feelings." He spat, "You hurt me when you reject me. You hurt me when you ran away and it hurts even more when you didn't care that I was hurt."
"No!" She yelled at him in frustration, furiously shaking her head. "I never hurt you. It's YOU that always hurts me!"
He slapped her already bruised face, silencing her. Rory's breathing became still then rough as he pulled her off the ground. She fought him, kicking and hitting his body with all her might. He doesn't budge nor battered an eye at her and continued dragging her up the stairs.
She tumbled into her old bedroom, left as how she remembered it.
"On the bed." He ordered, calmly. "NOW!"
When she didn't listen, he grabbed both her wrists pulling her towards the bed while undoing his tie. He wound the satin material around the headboard then knotted it around her wrist. He didn't care that they were still bruised and raw from the ropes that bonded her from her capture.
He cut her clothes with a switchblade, ripping the material off her body until she was bare. He gave her ass a spank and position her so that she was in a doggy position.
Gideon unbuckled his belt. He wrapped the leather around his hand and placed himself behind her on the bed. Raising his arm and holding her steady with the other, he brought the belt down onto her back.
Rory screamed.
