《Komahina Angstpril》Children Fight Their Parents' War

"This final duel to the death between our families' two final sons will determine the winner of the war between our Kingdoms once and for all."
Hinata takes a deep breath, avoiding Komaeda's intense gaze. He can't even believe this; he doesn't want to kill the one he loves!
For two years now, the two of them had been meeting in secret, hooking up and falling in love. This was the worst possible outcome. They figured they could do an arranged marriage between the two of them and everyone could be happy that way but they never imagined it would come to something as absurd as this!
A battle to the death. . .Against a skilled, well-trained being such as Prince Komaeda Nagito. . .He was always the better fighter when they would playfight. He wasn't sure if he would even hesitate to kill him once he saw him as an enemy.
And even if he was able to conquer Komaeda, he wasn't sure if he would have the emotional strength to deal the final, killing blow.
The brunet slowly draws his sword, finally looking up to meet Komaeda's gaze. The fluffy-haired boy seems to have put up an emotional mask as he raises his sword.
Hinata swallows nervously, bracing himself as the royals call for them to begin.
Komaeda strikes first, quicker than a cat, nearly knocking his weapon out of his hand. Hinata curses under his breath, shooting Komaeda a pleading look.
Was refusing to duel even an option? They didn't exactly have a choice in this matter, did they? There was no way they could run away from this without getting caught.
Nagito's eyes soften as he moves to attack again. 'Kill me, Hajime.' He mouths before aiming for his chest and then his face, Hinata automatically blocking.

Ah. . .What?
He knew how suicidal his boyfriend to get. He was more than willing to die. . .He seemed like the kind of person who would die so that someone else, no less Hajime could live. . .Is Komaeda going easy on him?
No-There has to be a way to get them out of this, right?
. . .Damn it!
And then suddenly Komaeda steps back, lowering his sword, making Hinata hesitate. What is he doing?
"No. . .I refuse to fight! I'm not killing another innocent just to settle a score that isn't even ours!" He shouts angrily.
"Nagito. . ," His mother warns, "If you do not fight, then you are going to die. We won't let either of you escape this."
He grits his teeth.
"If death is the only way out of this. . .I cannot destroy an innocent! I refuse to kill Prince Hinata!" He declares, "This is the only way!"
Hinata realizes what Komaeda's about to do a second too late.
"NAGITO!" He screams as Komaeda flips his sword around and plunges it into himself. His body shakes as a weird gurgling noise comes out of him and he falls to the floor.
In a flash, the brunet drops his weapon and scrambles to his side, cradling Komaeda's head in his lap.
He smiles weakly, reaching up for Hinata's face with bloodied fingers. "I'm glad. . .We didn't have. . .to kill each other. . .Hajime. . .love you. . ."
And then his heart goes still.
"Nagito? NAGITO?"
But there was no response. He'd never move, never speak again.
He sacrificed himself to end this conflict, so that the boy he loves, Hajime, can live. So that they wouldn't have to kill each other. . .
Hinata wishes they could have found another way quickly.

Viceroy's Pride
This story could be about the Tellask Empire, ruler of a thousand suns and faced with imminent peril at the hands of the Orakh hordes. It could be about Paltai Amberell, the scion of a noble elven House, fallen upon hard times and seeking to find the key that will restore his family's name and save the Empire itself. It could be the story of his voidship, The Viceroy's Pride, powered by magic and crewed by a team of crack marines as they search for adventure and the solution to the Empire's myriad problems. Instead, this is the story of Daniel Thrush, human electrical engineer, befuddled researcher and survivor of the debacle that was first contact with a spacefaring civilization. Due to a combination of luck, magic, hard work, and more luck he is thrust into the center of events as Earth is shoved onto a much larger stage rife with semi-immortal elves and magical kingdoms that predate the Earthly invention of agriculture. Earth is outnumbered, and we have precisely one wizard. Dan. He's not very good at it, but he's going to have to learn in a hurry or watch everything he knows get torn apart by massive spacefaring empires straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. ---------- Some readers have noted that the MC tends to be weak willed and pushed around a bit. A significant portion of the story is his character growth into not being a pushover (i.e. him being passive is in the early chapters on purpose). I'm just including this caveat/warning to make sure that readers aren't surprised/upset and that they stick with it until he learns to stand up for himself. His arc begins to crystallize around chapters 25-27. If that's too long to wait, I get it, I'm just trying to do my due diligence and warn you that the character development is a bit of a slow burn. This is NOT a harem novel. Nothing against them, just not what it is. --------- Updates Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday Feel free to bother me on our discord- Discord!

The Kind Devil
Five veteran players of the old-fashioned but outdated VRMMO game, Orge's Bone, meet in the game for one last time before leaving forever. As real life friends, they were torn apart by certain matters, and now decided to say goodbye in the way they know best; a free for all battle royale. However, little do they know that fate has a twist to spin. As they fight it out in a folorn map, they stumble upon a secret teleport gate. Out of curioisity, they all enter it. They find a world more graphicly advanced than the current number one game, and NPCs that really don't act like they should. The game settings are similar to Orge's Bone; there are no levels, only physical strenght gains, which is gained by killing monsters and completing quests. They treat the hidden world as their greenhouse– a place to retreat when the real world treats them unfairly. But after a while, they discover no everything is as it seems– that the hidden world is far more dangerous. Michael is a cultivator whose goal in life is to change the tragic martial world, where killing is like breathing, into a land of peace. It will center a lot around how he'll change the perspectives of those around him, and how he tries to draft more cultivators to his cause, starting with the toughest nut to crack, the ruthless, bloodthirsty and easily-triggered Rector.
