《Snatched》Chapter 5

"Hey... hey wake up!"
"Huh, what the..." you opened your eyes groggily to see a pair of red eyes right in front of your face.
"Holly mother of Kermit!" you threw your arm up and punched the red eyed person square in the nose. You were about to continue on with your assault when you saw the spiky red hair of the shark boy in your class.
You quickly realized what you had done and immediately started to apologize "Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Are you okay!?"
The boy looked dazed but overall unharmed "Oh I'm fine, I had my quirk to protect me but man you throw quite a punch."
"Thanks... Wait what were you doing in the first place. Oh god, are you a perv like that grape child?"
"What no! That wouldn't be very manly of me. I was just waking you up, you slept through the entire ball throwing test and Mr. Aizawa told me to come get you. He said something about not wanting anyone to get pummeled and I get that now. You scare easily huh."
"Only when I get woken up by strangers who put their face so close to mine I think I'm getting assaulted." you sent shark boy a glare which he returned with an awkward smile.
"Anyway, what quirk do you have to protect you from my wrath?"
"Oh, I get hard!"
...
"Okay bye" you stood up
I'm too tired to deal with a creepy perv.
"Wait no! Not like that!" The spiky haired boy's face turned the same color as his hair. "My quirk is hardening, I can harden any part of my body like a rock."
"You really need to work on your introductions rock boy" you smiled at him knowing that he meant well.
"Ugh I'm sorry I really screwed this up." he sighed scratching the back of his head.

You knew exactly what was going through his mind. You had had your fair share of bad first impressions as well.
"Naw it's fine, let get back to the class... umm..."
"Eijiro Kirishima" he grinned at you with his shark teeth and you couldn't help but think he was kinda cute. "I saw what you did with your ice quirk earlier that's so cool!'
"Thanks, I'm Y/n by the way" you responded not feeling up to giving him the whole 'you can just call me Y/n' shabang.
You both walked over to the rest of the class who were headed towards the next test. You saw a mop of green hair lagging behind and ran to catch up with him.
"Hey Izu wha-"
And than he turned around.
Izuku's face was scrunched up in pain and the was holding a broken finger in his hand.
"A bitch about to die" you grabbed your green haired friend by the collar.
"IZUKU MIDORIYA! WHAT THE FUCK DID I TELL YOU."
**
"You had one rule to follow you idiot!" you exclaimed grabbing some medical tape from your pocket and roughly wrapping it around his finger.
He winced, partly from the pain and partly form knowing you were angry with him.
"I look away for two minutes and this is what happens!"
Three of your classmates rushed towards you, alarmed by your outburst. Yaoyorozu and Kirishima had only recently met you but they weren't expecting you to lash out at an injured student.
You noticed the looks you were getting from your two friends and your face flushed in embarrassment.
"Oh.. sorry guys this isn't a great moment for me." you cringed knowing you looked absolutely insane running up to an injured classmate, scolding him and then proceeding to completely switch gears to apologize for your behavior.
"Well I think it's admirable," your small group turned to Yaoyorozu who continued her explanation "you care about your friend and are upset that he would injure himself. You have the nature of a mother bear protecting her cub. I believe that Midoriya is lucky to have someone to look out for him."

You smiled at Yaoyorozu, and Kirishima nodded in agreement.
"Yeah! Looking out for friends is super manly!"
You turned to Izuku to make sure he was actually okay but were surprised to find is face to be bright red.
"Oh my god! Izu what happened!" you dropped his hand which you were still holding. You were about to put a hand to his forehead when you were pulled back by the wrist by the fifth member of your group.
"He's fine."
"Um excuse you Shoto but the last time I checked that wrist you've got there belongs to me."
"We are missing the next test" Shoto ignored your accusation and started pulling you towards the rest of the class.
"You really need to curb the habit of dragging me around by the wrist Sho" you whined letting him pull you away, knowing resistance would be futile due to your fatigue from earlier.
Izuku watched you walk away with Shoto, a familiar unpleasant feeling churning in his stomach at your familiarity with him.
"Come on Midoriya," Kirishima urged "let's catch up too."
"Okay."
***
You completed the next tests with ease, the only hard part being watching Izuku do the tests with a broken finger.
You now stood together as a class, ready to see your placing.
"All right, time for your results, I've ranked you all from best to worst. You should probably have an idea of your standing already. I'll just pull up the whole list, it's not worth going over everyone individually." Aizawa pressed a button on a remote and a list of everyone in the class appeared in the air.
Alright time to see how bad I did
You searched for your name and were flabbergasted to see your name at the top of the list.
"What the actual fuck."
How did I get first place!? I only used my quirk once and I literally walked one of the tests!
You weren't the only one shocked by the results.
"How the hell did that bitch get first place!" a spiky blond roared in anger.
"Yeah I got nothing" you responded, ignoring his foul language towards you.
Aizawa sighed, having just explained how he didn't want to go over individual scores.
"To put it shortly, Y/n was consistently good at each event, other that the running portion, with a spike in the ball throw. The rest of you were only good at one or two events that corresponded with your quirk, and terrible at the rest. This shows a lack of all around training which is expected for a bunch of first years."
"Also I lied about the person in last going home, that was just a rational deception to make sure you all did your best."
...
"WHAT!"
Most of class 1-A was outraged by your teacher's deception save for Yaoyorozu, Shoto and you.
"Yeah I'm surprised you didn't figure it out, I should have told you." Yaoyorozu, apologized
"Oof, we should of told them Sho." You commented, feeling guilty about letting your injured friend suffer.
"Probably."
***
After you changed and said goodbye to your classmates, you texted Izuku to make sure he was okay. When he told you that he was getting treatment from Recovery Girl, you decided it would be better to let her handle him.
You waved to Kirishima and Denki on your way out, happy to consider them friends, and met Shoto at the front of the school.
"My house?" he asked
"Yep."
