《Snatched》Chapter 43

"Oh my god that really fucking hurts." you tried to stand up but the fractures in your ankles caused you to fall back to the ground.
"Don't stand up, you'll only make it worse!" Kota worriedly helped you sit up.
You knew you would have to be able to walk if you wanted to survive the night so you tore the bottom of your pants into strips and tied them around your ankles to create a makeshift brace.
"We totally underestimated him, Muscular was way more powerful than I anticipated." Izuku mumbled. Both his arms were completely shattered and blood was gushing from a wound in his head. "If every villain attacking us tonight is on the same level, all our lives are at stake. On top of that it looks like they are after some of us students, we have to let the teachers know that's one of the reasons they're here."
You nodded "We need to make sure that everyone knows the stakes, lets leave Muscular here and head back to camp. Kota we just need to get you back to camp, you need to use your quirk to help with the fire."
He smiled, determination in his eyes "I'll do my best!"
The smoke you noticed earlier had come from a huge blue fire that engulfed half the camp, if Kota used his water quirk he could at least keep it from spreading too much.
"Kota, can you get on my back?" you asked standing up wincing at the pain in your legs
"But your ankles-"
"I'll be fine, it's not an issue, now come on."
"Y/n, you can't carry him or run in your condition, let me take him." Izuku insisted
You shook your head bending down to pick up Kota "Your legs may be fine but your arms are way too injured, if you tried to carry him, there's a chance you could drop him or cause more damage to yourself."
"But Y/n..."
"Come on Izuku, we have to hurry up and help everyone and we're not getting that done standing here arguing."
He still looked unconvinced.
"Trust me." you smiled reassuringly "If there is a problem I will tell you, we're doing this together."
"... okay, I trust you Y/n. I just want you to know that I..."
There was something about the way he was looking at you, like you were the only person in the world he could see, that clued you in to what he was about to do.
No Izuku don't do this
You knew you couldn't handle whatever confession he was going to make so you tightened your grip on Kota and started sprinting.
"Come on, we've got to hurry. You can tell me later."
You were surprised how difficult it was to carry someone on your back, you figured it had something to do with the internal bleeding which was probably caused by a broken rib or two. You kept looking around for any villains just in case they were hiding somewhere but you could tell your weariness was causing Kota to get more scared and nervous by the second.

"Umm, hey Kota, do you like dinosaurs?" You asked, trying your best to keep your voice calm.
"Huh, yeah actually, I do, how did you know?"
"Only the coolest people like dinosaurs and you're pretty cool so you must like them, also your hat."
"You think I'm cool?"
You smiled "Of course! You faced a villain and came out unscathed!" You glanced behind your shoulder and saw him smiling too "So, what type of dinosaurs do you like?"
You managed to get him ranting about different types of prehistoric creatures while you just nodded and occasionally gasped in shock. You didn't know anything about what he was saying but it distracted him and it distracted you from the growing pain in your legs. Izuku joined in on the conversation with his complete knowledge of dinosaurs, which kind of shocked you.
Izuku said that the League were after Katsuki... Damn it, I shouldn't have left him. He's hot headed in the first place but if he gets stuck with Shoto he'll just lose all focus and start making stupid mistakes. Everyone else is in danger too, who knows which of us our on their hit list.
"Do you like Micropachycephalosaurus' Y/n?" Kota asked, interrupting your thoughts.
You blinked trying to understand if he was talking about dinosaurs or casting a spell.
"Oh yes for sure, they're so... interesting."
What the... it sounds like a disease.
"Hey guys look!" Kota pointed to a figure in the distance
Is that...
"Mr. Aizawa!" Izuku yelled getting his attention
At the sound of Izuku's exclamation, your teacher whipped around "Midoriya? Y/n?"
You let out a sigh of relief as you caught up to him.
"Thank goodness you're here!" Izuku panted
"We have to get to Mandalay quickly, take Kota somewhere safe." you bent down and Kota climbed off your back
"Well be safe you don't have to worry." Izuku assured him
He tried to get a word in "Hey-"
You tightened your ankle braces "Our injuries aren't as bad as they look."
"Sto-"
"Be back soon!"
"Y/n, Midoriya!" Aizawa yelled stopping you from running off "Your injuries are bad, you must have run into a villain, have your forgotten about Hosu."
He referenced how it was against the law for you to use your quirks to hurt people without a license.
"Are you joking?" you sighed "It was a life or death situation, also nobody will know it was us."
Your teacher studied the both of you for a moment before grabbing Kota "Go, but I have a message for Mandalay too."
He told you his message but before you could take off again he grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him so Izuku couldn't hear him.
"Don't do anything stupid, you have a bad habit of getting yourself in trouble. Don't die either the paperwork for the school will kill me."
"Love you too Shota." you smiled pulling away and running towards where you last saw Mandalay.

"There Izuku, in that clearing!" you finally found Mandalay and the other Pussycats but they were in the middle of a battle with two villains.

Izuku used his quirk to get the villains away while you ran up to Mandalay.
"Mandalay! Kota is safe!"
"You found him... Then what are you two doing here!?"
"You need to use telepath and tell everyone that Aizawa granted us permission to use our quirks to defend ourselves!"
"Are you sure?"
You stared at her blankly "Actually you know what I don't know maybe I misshear-YES I'M SURE!"
She flinched at your intense tone of voice, "Okay."
Mandalay used her quirk to give everyone the new information while you and Izuku did your best not to get crushed by one of the villains.
"You two need to get back to camp now, your injuries aren't normal." Mandalay instructed eyeing your ankles and Izuku arms.
You and Izuku made eye contact and then both began running towards each other.
"Sorry but we have to go save a little bitch from getting kidnapped!"
"What?!"
"They're after Kacchan!" Izuku clarified grabbing your hand and pulling you with him using his quirk to boost you both across the clearing
"Stop!" Mandalay yelled but you just kept running
Right as you were about to clear the battle field one of the villains geared up to attack you.
"No don't!" the other villain, who looked like a human lizard, instructed giving you enough time to get out of the clearing and start running through the forest.
What the hell was that.
Izuku was blasting through the forest pulling you along with him while you were on the lookout for anyone in trouble or preferably Katsuki.
Suddenly Mandalay's voice came into your head "Listen, we've discovered one of the villains targets, it's a student named Kacchan."
"Pfft- come on Izuku you couldn't have used his name?"
"I wasn't thinking!"
"Kacchan, you should try to avoid combat and stick to a group."
"Like hell he will." you muttered
"We just have to get to him faster then, you were with him and Todoroki before you left to find Kota right? Where were you last?"
"I honestly have no clue, all the trees look the same, just listen for loud explosions and yelling and we've got our man."
As if on cue the sound of a gunshot echoed through the forest.
You and Izuku flinched at the sound.
"Wrong type of explosions and... Who the fuck has a gun!"
"It must be someone who doesn't have an offensive quirk, I hope everyone is okay."
What type of lunatic brings a gun to fight a bunch of teenagers, quirks are one thing but actual weapons?! Come on! We're literal children!
You continued running despite your growing worry for your classmates. You scanned your surroundings as you went looking for anything at all but the darkness made it difficult to see and the shadows in front of you just seemed to get bigger.
Wait, why are the shadows...
You suddenly felt a cold chill run down your spine, you braced your ankles on the ground, biting your tongue to keep from screaming, causing you and Izuku to skid to a halt.
"Izuku duck!"
You dropped to the ground just as a huge arm seemingly made out of darkness itself swept in front of you, Izuku wasn't as fast causing the shadow to hit him on one of his severely injured arms.
You didn't have time to react before you felt someone grabbed your hand and yank you away. You landed on the ground with a thud the impact making you cough up blood.
"Ouch." you muttered whipping the blood away before anyone could see it "Who yeeted me onto my ass-"
"Shoji?" Izuku managed
You looked up and saw Shoji holding Izuku on his back looking almost as disheveled as you. He was covered in scrapes and bruises and one of his arms was bleeding badly.
"Jesus! Shoji are you okay?"
He sighed "I should be asking you the same question, even though I already know the answer, you two are in a lot worse shape than me. The both of you shouldn't be moving but all you're thinking about is saving your friend."
"Whaaaat meeee? I don't know what you are talking about, I'm doing great, just a little dirty."
"Y/n..." Izuku started
"I'm fine, just a some bruises," you lied "Izuku really needs medical attention though."
Izuku looked at you in confusion as you heaved yourself off the ground "But Y/n your ankles-"
"Are fine." you cut him off "Izuku took a hit to the head and thought I was injured more than I am, you need to keep him on your back Shoji."
Shoji looked a bit skeptical but after a glance at Izuku's bleeding skull he nodded. "Of course, as long as you're sure."
Izuku glared at you, an expression he didn't often direct at you, but he stayed silent. There wasn't anything he could do, he was pinned in place on Shojis back and whatever he said you could brush of as his head injury. You had done a good job at hiding your pain so a part of him believed that your ankles weren't hurt nearly as badly as he thought.
I just need to make sure Izu's condition doesn't worsen, I'll be fine.
"Shoji, you still haven't told us what happened" you insisted
"We were ambushed by villains and I covered us, but that triggered the quirk that he'd been desperately trying to hold back..."
Wait who was Shoji pared with again...
"Oh no" you gasped
"You don't mean..." Izuku stuttered
"Yeah, if you want to get through here you'll have to face Dark Shadow first."
Just then Dark Shadow let out a ferocious roar, your head whipped in the direction of the sound leading you to both Fumikage and Dark Shadow.
Fumikage was completely enveloped in the huge version of his quirk trying desperately to stay in control.
Your eyes widened at his rampant state, you had never seen Fumikage in so much agony.
"Tokoyami!" Izuku exclaimed drawing his attention towards your group.
"STAY BACK! GET AWAY FROM ME!" he warned straining to speak "YOU'LL DIE!"
Dark Shadow looked in your direction but you acted quickly, not wasting a second of of time and pushed Shoji, Izuku and yourself out of his sight.
Yeah, I don't overly feel like dying today.

In my new world, there was only one rule: survive! --- Hey all, I'm Ken, and this is my first time sharing a story online. This story is heavily inspired by Terror Infinity, if it wasn't obvious from the title. I've been interested in making a Terror Infinity story for a while now, but I have a lot of problems with its system and mechanics, so I decided to just make my own system instead of trying to adapt to that one. If you find any mistakes, typos, or awkward phrasing please let me know in the comments so I can fix it! I hope everyone can enjoy this story but, even if you don't, please let me know why and what you think I can do to improve. Thank you. (The original picture for the cover can be found here)
