Nickel's POV:
I went home and went to bed after a while of talking with Test Tube.
Honestly, I thought she was going crazy.
I mean, who was gonna believe that a camera teleported your friends to some sort of lab. It was unrealistic, but I promised that I would help her out, so I can't really back out of this now.
I was thinking about telling Baseball about this, but I figured it was best not to tell him. He would probably freak out or something.
If Suitcase were still here, she probably would've believed me. I don't care for her much now though, especially since she almost got me expelled that one time.
But anyway, I decided that it was best to keep it a secret for now.
I sat on my bed and started thinking about the situation.
If it really is real... Does that mean Balloon really did get kidnapped?
I sat and stared at the ceiling.
"Why should I even care." I scoffed. "I don't even like Balloon."
I kept telling myself that I didn't care, but deep down, there was this guilt lingering in the back of my mind.
I have to admit I had been kinda mean to him, and if he really was kidnapped...
No, he's probably just at home sulking over his sad life or something.
What am I saying... I haven't seen him around anywhere. I shouldn't be insulting him if he actually is in this situation.
I sighed and laid my head down on my pillow.
I struggled to find a comfortable position and rolled to one side, then ended up falling off of the bed.
I landed face first on the floor.
I then struggled to get back up. It was a bit hard without arms. I figured I should've been used to it by now, but apparently not.
I finally managed to get up and climb back into bed.
Almost as soon as I laid down, I fell asleep.
Turns out I was more exhausted than I thought.
I woke up on the floor the next morning.
How did I not wake up?
I sat up and groaned. My head hurt.
I then got up and prepared to meet up with Test Tube.
We had agreed to meet up in the center of the city yesterday, so I had quite a ways to go.
I left the house and began walking.
After a while, I finally made it to the center of the city. There was a large tree nearby, so I decided to go sit in the shade. It was pretty hot outside to the cool grass was nice.
A couple minutes after I arrived, Test Tube finally made an appearance.
She waved and ran over to me, checking to make sure nobody was following.
"Sorry I left you waiting," Test Tube mumbled, "I was being chased again."
I gave her a confused look.
How can she be acting so casual about that?
"Anyway, since I lost my old laptop, I made a new one! If I can connect it to the camera, I can prove to you that I was telling the truth." Test Tube said with a smile.

"Wait wait wait, you just MADE a laptop??? How did you even figure out how to do that?" I asked, a bit shocked.
Test Tube shrugged and smiled awkwardly.
With that, Test Tube began trying to hack into the camera.
After a while, Test Tube finally managed to hack into the camera she was talking about.
"Aha! Success!" She exclaimed happily. She immediately turned it on. "Lightbulb you there?" She asked.
All I saw on the screen was yellow.
"Test Tube, seriously this is ridiculo-" I glanced at the screen and noticed it had started to move.
Suddenly, Lightbulb's face appeared on the camera. It appeared to be a bit laggy.
"Te- Tub-?" Lightbulb's voice said from the camera. Her voice was cutting off every once in a while.
"Lightbulb! You're still ok!"
I stared in shock at what was in front of me.
That's when I noticed...
Balloon was in the background.
No way...

Lightbulb's POV:
I heard a glitchy voice come from the inside of my head.
I gasped.
The camera.
I frantically grabbed it out of my head and accidentally cut my arm, but I ignored it.
"Test Tube?" I asked.
"Lig- lb! You're stil- ok!" Test Tube responded, The camera hadn't been used in a long time and the battery was really low, so it wasn't working too well.
I almost cried when I heard her voice. I remembered Painty talking through this very same camera.
"Do yo- know an- thing abo- where Pai- brush is?" Test Tube asked, her voice still glitching.
I knew exactly what she was asking though. I went silent and felt my eyes begin to well up with tears.
"They-..." I mumbled. A lump seemed to form in my throat and I got caught on my words.
"They didn't... They didn't make it-..." I felt warm tears begin to run down my cheeks. I wiped my eyes with my arm and sniffled a bit, trying to calm my self down.
I took a deep breath to regain my composure.
"Oh..." I heard Test Tube mumble.
"Wait... Th- re?!" I heard another voice say. I recognized the voice as Nickel's
Nickel is there too?
I nodded a bit, I knew that they could see me, I just couldn't see them.
"I'm so so- ry Lightb- lb" Test Tube mumbled. I decided to just ignore the glitching.
"It's ok Test Tube... I'm getting over it." I mumbled, forcing a smile even though she couldn't see it.
Suddenly I heard my box open.
No...
Cobs walked in and stared at me.
My heart began pounding and I pulled the camera closer to myself and scooted back.
Cobs glared and didn't say a word, but grabbed my arm suddenly. I dropped the camera and started screaming and kicking.
Cobs stomped on the camera, shattering it to pieces.
I did everything within my power to try and get him to let go, but it didn't work.
I saw Balloon and Fan with shocked looks on their faces as I was dragged out of the room.
I was strapped down to that same metal table as usual.

I fought against the restraints, but it was no use.
"You should know better by now. I thought the death of your little friend would teach you a lesson. Apparently not." Cobs said as he picked up a scalpel and approached me.
I began to panic and struggle more.
The last thing I saw was the bright white light above my head before suddenly Cobs brought down the scalpel and I felt a stabbing pain in my eye.
I screamed and frantically tried to free my arms.
I couldn't see anything, but I could feel as Cobs carved out my eye with the scalpel. I was crying, which only worsened the pain and left a horrible burning sensation.
I felt the blood dripping down my face and felt one final tug as Cobs ripped out my eye. He didn't cut it at the end, just ripped it out. My head was throbbing and I couldn't see a thing.
My left eye was already missing, and now, I was missing both eyes.
I felt the restraints loosen and I was yanked off of the table. I hit the ground suddenly. I could feel the warm tears dripping onto my hands.
No... not tears...
I was grabbed by the arm and lifted up off of the ground. I was tossed to the ground and heard a series of gasps, then heard the door close.
I felt around and noticed something soft against my hands. I picked it up and realized they were bandages. I struggled to wrap them around my missing eye, but eventually succeeded.
I wanted to cry, but I knew that would only make it worse.
I was shaking uncontrollably.
I then felt around and felt something sharp against my hand.
The broken camera...
I picked up the broken pieces and held them close to my chest.
I then began to cry. It hurt, but I couldn't help it.
I was extremely lightheaded and every slight movement sent me into horrible vertigo.
I decided to just lay down.
I'm sorry I let this happen Painty...
I'm so sorry...

Fan's POV:
I watched as Lightbulb was dragged back into the room, blood trailing behind her.
Her eye was gouged out of her head and she was bleeding profusely.
I was speechless, all I could do was stare and cover my mouth.
I watched as she shakily felt around and grabbed some bandages that Cobs had tossed into the box with her.
How could he do this to her...?
She laid on the ground and didn't do anything else after that.
I glanced at Balloon. He had his hand on the glass of his box.
He then let his hand fall, and he looked at the floor.
I stared at them both.
At first I was scared and upset.
Now, I was .
Tomorrow...
Tomorrow, we escape...
...For good...

Paintbrush's POV:
I opened my eyes. I was back in that same room.
No... I was so close!
I felt something on my ankle, except it was the opposite ankle this time.
I looked at it, but noticed there was no chain.
Instead of a shackle, there was a small metal ankle bracelet-looking thing. There were a couple blinking lights on it.
What is this?
I tugged on it and immediately felt something sharp stab into my leg.
My legs became weak and my body ached like crazy. I fell to the floor.
"That was quite the chase we had there." I heard a voice say as the door opened and someone walked in.
I glared. It was, of course, Cobs.
I tried to get up but I was too weak and in too much pain.
"What did you do to me?!" I snapped. Cobs smiled.
"It's just some antibiotics. It's supposed to keep you under control." Cobs said with a grin.
"If you think you can keep me trapped here you've got another thing coming!" I said, attempting to get up again, but once again failing.
Cobs chuckled. "You can try what you want Paintbrush but you know you're no match for me." He scoffed.
I hate him.
"Might want to get comfortable in here Paintbrush, you aren't leaving any time soon." Cobs said before leaving the room and shutting the door.
That's what you think. Someone will come to rescue us eventually.
I struggled to get up but it still hurt too much. I sighed.
Just... maybe not right now...

Test Tube's POV:
Nickel and I watched as Lightbulb looked up at someone, she had a look of terror on her face.
Suddenly she dropped the camera and we heard screaming.
We then saw none other than Cobs himself. He stomped on the camera, and it cut out.
"NO!" I exclaimed. I frantically tried to reconnect but I doubted the camera had survived.
I put my head in my hands and then glanced at Nickel.
He had a look of absolute shock on his face.
"Please tell me you recorded that." Nickel said. I shook my head slowly.
"You have to be kidding me... That had to be fake right?!" Nickel exclaimed suddenly jumping up from the spot he was sitting.
"I wish it was..." I responded. Nickel just stared in shock.
He sat back down and stared at the ground with wide eyes.
"I saw Balloon there." He mumbled. I nodded. "Everyone who went missing is there." I replied.
He looked like he felt guilty.
"I'm a horrible person." He mumbled before flopping face first onto the ground.
I stared at him for a bit. " What-? No- you aren't you didn't know any of this would happen!" I tried to reassure him.
Nickel just mumbled something but I couldn't hear it because it was muffled.
I sighed
This is really bad...
Cobs found out about the camera and Lightbulb was caught.
What now?
I stood up and began to put everything away.
"Where are you going?" Nickel asked.
"I'm going somewhere I can make a plan." I responded, picking up my bag and beginning to walk away.
"Wait." I heard Nickel say. I turned around to look at him.
He stood up and looked me in the eyes.
"I want to help."

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
