I woke up the next morning to a bright sunshine coming through my curtains.
And my phone going off. Cam was face timing me.
"Good morning sweet cheeks." I smiled at him.
"And good morning to you too gorgeous." He smiled back. "How'd you sleep?"
"Like a baby." I laughed and rolled out of my bed. "And now I'm about to straighten my hair and get ready."
"Do you have dance tonight?" He asked wiping sweat off his forehead.
"I do. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Are you working out?" I gave him a look.
"Every day babe. Bright and early." He laughed.
"You look so good." I smirked and nodded.
"You're so sweet to me. Do you want to go out tomorrow?" He smiled.
"I would love to. Where to?"
"I was thinking Joe's. I know you like their burgers." He laughed.
"You know me so well. I'll see you at school?"
"Absolutely." He smiled. "See you soon."
I hung up the phone.
I walked over to my vanity, straightened my hair, threw on some make up, then went to my closet.
I decided on a pair of torn jean shorts, a plain black t-shirt tucked in with a belt, and a maroon colored cardigan.
I packed my dance bag for after school, then walked down stairs.
"Just as you finally go home, you come back." I rolled my eyes as I walked in to the kitchen to see Mason, Oaken, and Connor.
"Good morning to you too shit brick." Mason smiled at me.
"Shorts are too short Liv." Connor shook his head.
"Good thing no one asked your opinion huh." I gave him a look.
"Will you just please go change them?" He pursed his lips.
"No?" I shook my head.
"Liv can I ride with you?" Oaken asked.
"You don't want to ride with Tweedledee and Tweedledum?"
"No." He shook his head. "I don't."
"Alright." I shrugged. "You'll have to ride home with them though."
"Yes Liv. Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays." Oaken nodded.
"You think you're going to get Comp Captain this year?" Connor took a bite of his breakfast.
"That's the dream Connor." I nodded.
"You know you're going to get it Ollie. You've been dancing for 12 years, you've stayed after countless times to help the other dancers, and you don't suck." Mason gave me a straight smile.
"Nice to know I don't suck. You ready Oak?" I looked over at him.
"Can't I eat breakfast?" He asked.
"We're picking up Abby and Pook, then going to Tim Horton's, you decide, oatmeal, or the deliciousness of a 10 pack of timbits." I crossed my arms.
"Tim Bits." He nodded.
"Exactly." I smiled.
We went and got Abby and Josh, headed to Horton's, I got my large iced vanilla with 4&4, extra vanilla, and a box of strawberry glazed timbits, and we went to school.
We were standing at my locker when Cameron walked over to us.
"Good morning beautiful, I have the prettiest girlfriend in the school." He smiled and kissed me.
"Wow, I'm chopped liver." Abby crossed her arms.
"Good morning to you too girlfriends pretty best friend." He smirked and shook his head.
"You gonna tell me I look pretty too." Josh pouted.
"You're the prettiest Josh." Cameron laughed.
"Schedule please." I smiled and held my hands out.
He put his schedule in my hand.

"We have English together 2nd period." I smiled.
"You're taking senior English?" He gave me a look.
"The only senior class I don't have is Bio." I shook my head. "I hate science."
"It's a good thing you have me by the way." Abby smiled at me.
"So I can help you with every other subject, and you help me in one?" I gave her a look.
"Mhm." She smacked me in the forehead.
I rolled my eyes and turned back in to my locker.
"Oh." Cam said getting in his bag. "Brought you this." He set a red bull in my locker.
"You're the sweetest." I wrapped my arms over his shoulders.
I gave him a kiss.
"I will rip your lips directly off your face Saunders." Connor yelled as he walked by with the rest of the fantastic four.
"Shut up." I shook my head.
"Maybe he should keep his hands to himself." Ryan let out a little chuckle.
"Ryan Andrew!" Abby yelled.
"Sorry baby, I love you." He blew her a kiss as they walked away.
"Well, this is going to be a hell of a school year." Josh laughed.
"What class do you have first?" I asked Josh.
"Uh, Chem in 106." He nodded.
"I have Trig in 108." I gave him a straight smile.
"Geo in 209." Abby looked down.
"I have to go to 212. I'll walk with you Abby." Cameron shook his head.
"I like him Liv." Abby smiled at me.
"Me too." I nodded.
"And I will walk you." Josh grabbed my bag out of my locker.
"Hands to your self Pook." Cameron laughed and pointed at him.
"I don't know if I can control my self man." Josh shook his head.
"I'll see you next period." Cam smiled and he and Abby walked away.
Josh walked me to my trig class.
Although I'm good at it, I hate math.
The class felt like it was about 3 hours, when it was only 45.
Then bell went off and I basically ran to English.
When I got there Cam was waiting outside the classroom.
I smiled at him. "You waited for me."
"Of course I waited for you babe." The threw his arm over my shoulder. "How was trig?"
"Awful." I shook my head.
We both walked in and sat at two desks next to each other.
And unfortunately, the other seat next to me, was now occupied.
"What's up shit brick?" Mason smiles grabbing my purse.
"Oh god, this can't be real." I threw my head back.
"Oh, it's real. Did you not bring gum?" He gave me a look.
I sighed. "Zipper pocket."
"Well this should be good." Cam nodded.
"Good Morning class." Miss Jordan smiled at us. "I'm happy to see some familiar faces this year."
She stood up and walked in front of the smart board. "We're going to start this year off with my favorite unit. The poetry unit. We're going to be doing everyone from Jack Frost to Maya Angelou. But we're going to be starting off with one of my personal favorites." She stepped to her podium and put her arms up it and leaned. She cleared her throat. "I was a child, and she was a child, in this kingdom by the sea. But, we loved with a love that was more than love, I and my Annabel Lee. With a love that winged seraphs of Heaven, coveted her and me." She smiled. "Can anyone tell me the poem and the author."

I pursed my lips and raised my hand. Cameron gave me a weird look.
"Miss Pate." She smiled at me.
"Uh, it's Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe." I nodded.
"I'm impressed." She nodded back.
Mason let out a light laugh and smirked.
"Comment Mr Hollow?" She crossed her arms.
He sighed, leaned back in his desk and crossed his arms. "But our love it was stronger by far than the love of those who were older than we. Of many far wiser than we." My eyes got wide. "And neither the angels in Heaven above. Nor the demons down under the sea. Can ever dissever my soul from the soul of the beautiful Annabel Lee."
"In the four years I have had you in class, I have never heard you participate." She raised her eyebrows. "You know Poe?" She gave him a look.
"No." He shook his head. "But I know that poem."
"You know a poem?" Cam gave him a look.
"Clearly I know the poem Saunders. You should probably know it too." Mason raised his eyebrows.
"And why's that Hollow." Cameron crossed his arms.
Mason let out a light laugh. "Because your girlfriends middle name is Annabel, where do you think it came from genius." He smirked.
Cameron looked over at me. I pursed my lips. He looked back over at Mason. "You learned a poem, because of her name?"
Mason looked up at Miss Jordan.
"Go ahead Mason." She nodded.
"I learned the poem, because I wondered what was so special about a poem to name your daughter after it. Then I learned it wasn't the poem that was special. It was the day." Mason looked over at me.
"Care to share Olivia?" Miss Jordan smiled at me.
I sighed. "My parents met their freshman year in an English class. Annabel Lee was the first thing they learned about that day." I pursed my lips.
"That's sweet." She smiled and nodded.
"And for future reference," Mason looked over at Cam. "I know a whole hell of a lot more about Ollie than you do."
Cameron rolled his eyes sunk back in to his chair.
We went on to learn about how Annabel Lee was really about love and grief, specifically denial. Like, why else would someone sleep next to a tomb every night. I think it's kind of sweet honestly, that even after death, he still believed in their relationship and their love. I however don't believe angels and demons were jealous of it.
Class was over and Cam had to run to his locker before meeting me at mine.
I was at my locker when Mason was walking by.
I grabbed him.
"Jesus, what Ollie." He yelled when I pulled him toward my locker.
"Did you have to say that?" I crossed my arms.
"Say what?" He gave me a look.
"'I know a hell of a lot more.' Really?" I shook my head.
"It's true and you know it Ol." He rolled his eyes.
"I swear to god, be nicer to him."
"So, I have to be nice, but he can imply that I'm stupid?"
"You are stupid Mason." I threw my hands in the air.
And then someone stepped between us.
"Mason Hollow." The girl smiled at him.
"Katie." He smiled.
"Hot, and smart?" She raised an eyebrow.
"I guess you could say that." He nodded and put his hands in his pockets.
I rolled my eyes.
"And you learning a poem for that reason, incredibly sweet." She bit her bottom lip.
"I'm a sweet guy." He shrugged.
"Well, maybe after school, you can show me how sweet you really are." She winked.
He smirked. "Meet me at my truck after 8th period?"
"I'll be there." She nodded and walked away.
"You're really never going to change." I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, you never know, I could love her." He smirked.
"Yeah, love how easy her legs open." I turned back in to my locker.
"Still love." He shrugged.
"Still a pig." I shook my head.
"And apparently hot and smart too." He raised and eyebrow.
"Goodbye Mason." I pointed down the hall.
"Don't be jealous Ollie." He closed my locker. "Green isn't a good color on you."
I rolled my eyes as he walked away.
I opened my locker back up.
"Sorry it took so long babe." Cam came and wrapped his arms around my waist. "What was all that."
"Mason being Mason." I shook my head and turned around to face him."
"Then why do you look pissed?" He gave me a look.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"Has nothing to do with Katie?" He raised his eyebrows.
"No." I shook my head. "Why would it?"
"I don't know Olivia. Are you sure you and Mason never-"
I cut him off. "What is your thing with Mason?"
"It's pretty clear he's got a thing for you babe." He pursed his lips.
"No he doesn't." I shook my head.
"Liv, he learned an Edgar Allen Poe piece because of your name." Cam crossed his arms.
"So did my brothers, Ben, Ryan, Abby and Josh. They all know it too." I crossed my arms.
"If you can't see that that kid wants you, you're delusional." He rolled his eyes.
I scrunched my face and closed my locker. "Trust me, no he doesn't." I started walking away.
"Olivia!" He yelled down the hall.
"I can walk myself to class!" I yelled back.
I heard him yell "Damn it." Then I assume the bang I heard was him hitting a locker.
The next two periods flew by.
I walked by the cafeteria for lunch to sit in a window by my locker, because I pack my lunch, when someone came running out the door.
"Liv." I heard Ryan yell.
"What?" I continued walking.
"Olivia!" He yelled.
I stopped and turned around.
"Pump ya breaks." He pointed to the floor in front of him.
I rolled my eyes, sighed, and walked up to him.
"What's wrong?" He crossed his arms.
"Nothing." I shook my head.
He pulled me over to the window by the cafeteria. We sat down.
"You wanna lie to me again? Or should I let Connor know somethings up?" He gave me a look.
I sighed again. "Cam and I got in to it a bit." I pursed my lips.
"Why?"
"He is under the impression that Mason has a thing for me." I rolled my eyes.
"Is he stupid?" Ryan laughed.
I gave him a look.
He sighed. "Look, Cameron's a good guy for the most part. So, I guess if he needs to hear it from someone whose close to Mason that he's not interested, I can talk to him."
"Really?" I smiled.
"Just, don't say anything to Connor, alright?" He rolled his eyes.
"Why are you even friends with them?" I shook my head. "You're completely different than them."
"I was exactly like them before Abby. You know that. Just, I found someone who was worth more than a night." He shrugged.
"Thank you Ry." I kissed his cheek. "Can I go eat my lunch now."
"Yeah, in the cafeteria with Ben and I. We don't have Mason or Connor, you don't have Josh or Abby, so you're stuck with us."
I sighed. "Fine."
We walked back in to the cafeteria ate our lunch and went to fifth period.
I stopped at my locker before sixth. To see Cam waiting for me.
I got to my locker and crossed my arms. I gave him a look.
"I had last period with Ryan." He pursed his lips.
"And?" I rolled my eyes and opened my locker.
"And he told me that Mason is not interested in you." He looked down.
"Oh, you mean, the same way I did?"
"Babe I'm sorry. He's just, he's always around. And he knows everything about you." He shook his head.
"Again, 13 years." I raised my eyebrows.
"I'm sorry Olivia. I just, I don't trust him."
"Then I guess it's a good thing that you're dating me and not Mason huh." I nodded and let out a light laugh.
"I won't bring it up again, I promise, and tomorrow after Joe's we'll go to the tasty. Get you your peanut butter milkshake." He smiled.
I let out a deep sigh. "You know me." I smiled.
"Can I please walk you to class now." He pouted.
I nodded and gave him a kiss. "You can."
He walked me to class and the rest of the day flew.
I met Abby out at the car, and she and I headed to dance.
And let me tell you what. Dance today, was by far my favorite in the past 12 years.
I dropped Abby off at home, went to my house, and got in the shower.
I got out, wrapped my body and hair in a towel, and walked out to my room.
"Jesus Christ!" I jumped when I saw Connor sitting on my bed.
"Nope, just me." He shook his head.
"What do you want Connor." I crossed my arms.
He smiled and raised his eyebrows. He held his hand out. "Skin it."
I scrunched my face and gave him a weird look. "For what?" I wiped my hand across his we flipped our hands and he wiped his on mine.
"Comp Captain, a solo, a duet, a trio, and the lead in the group dance?" He smirked.
"How did you even know that?" I shook my head.
"Abby told Ryan, Ryan told me. Why didn't you?" He crossed his arms.
"I took a shower? It's not a big deal. The big deal is being decided next week."
"Liv, this shit is your life, it's a huge deal. Like you said this morning, you've worked so hard for Competition Captain. This is why you don't need a boyfriend. This is a priority."
"Now you can get out." I pointed at the door.
"When you get the student choreographed piece next week, which, everyone knows you're going to get, I'll be sitting right back in this bed telling you that I'm proud." He smiled.
I couldn't help but let out a smile. "You're a really good brother sometimes, you know that right?" I shook my head.
"I'm always a good brother shit brick." He leaned back. "You just don't like the way I look out for you."
"Involving yourself in my love life is not looking out for me. Neither is not letting guys around me." I crossed my arms.
"You do realize I haven't even started with him yet? Saunders isn't the guy for you Ol." He rolled his eyes.
"Connor." I gave him a look. "Stay away from Cameron."
"Nope. Once you stay away from him, I will too." He shrugged.
"Back to the shitty brother I see." I rolled my eyes.
"You'll understand some day Liv." He stood up. "Goodnight."
He walked out of my room.
I called Cam and told him about dance. Called my dad and did the same. Mom was at work, so I'd talk to her tomorrow.
Now, it's time to go to sleep.
Also, I really need new pointe shoes.
