Annabelle's POV:

I had now edged closer and still couldn't hear them and it was beginning to become frustrating. I took two steps closer and finally heard from Elizabeth properly, "I've missed you". Then I felt my feet catch the dirt that surrounded the lake and instead of fighting the inevitable I let my feet catch each other and hurl me into the lake head first.

The cold water shocked my body, freezing it for an instant. I turned my body in the water and swam to the top of the lake and as I breached the water, the little fountain that was in the lake spurted into my face sending me downwards again. "Annabelle!", I heard being shouted as I went under again. I didn't really want to leave my watery grave now as all that awaited me at the surface was embarrassment. I swam up and began swimming to the other side as I was closer to it now and felt hands grab the top part of my arms and haul me onto the ground.

I spluttered the water that was in my lungs and sat there feeling very wet and very embarrassed. I could feel them both laughing at me and as I looked up I was right. Even though they had saved me they were uncontrollably laughing. I stood up trying to keep whatever dignity I had left and began walking off, served me right for being nosy I guess.

I was walking off really quickly but that's because I wanted to get away quickly. My train of thought was broken by people shouting my name. "Annabelle", "Anna" I heard one from Carter and one from Elizabeth. They ran up next to me and still had a smirk on their face, Carter offered me his jacket but I pushed it back at him. "I'm going home goodbye", I said harshly and with nothing further I left.

I found myself jogging home as I hadn't really done much of that at the park. I reached the door and slammed it a little harder then I should have. "Slow down Hulk", I heard Danny's voice ring from the kitchen and I rolled my eyes aggressively. I walked to the bottom of the stairs as Danny appeared and began cackling like a hyena. "Did you forget to take your clothes off when you went swimming Annie?" he said whilst laughing hysterically. I just chose to ignore the laughing mess he had turned into and trudged up to my room.

I emptied out my pockets and prayed that my phone was not ruined. I press the home button and to my delight it was still working and I had 2 messages and 1 missed call all from Tara. I had only realised that I hadn't spoken to her since Saturday and before the whole thing with Rhydian I had been trying to find her at the party. So many things had happened lately that I had forgot about telling her where I'd gone and what had happened. I opened up my phone to read the messages:

I'm pretty sure she thought adding everything in capital letters made it more important. Carter was involved of course, when wasn't he? I rolled my eyes and called Tara.

A/N

It is a personal nightmare that I might fall into a lake so I thought it would be cool to incorporate it. Do you think Annabelle deserved being dunked?
