《Adopted by My Chemical Romance》14

On the way home from school, I walked quickly to avoid you know who.
Before I entered my house, I made sure all my sleeves were down, and all my bruises were covered. I knew I would have to explain my black eye, but I'll tell them I fell. I opened the door and saw them sitting in the couch, sobbing. I was confused until I saw they were watching some sappy romance film. They quickly wiped the few tears from their faces once they realized i came home.
"Hey kiddo how was - OH MY GOD! " Brendon screamed, rushing over to me.
"Did someone beat you up?!" Brendon shouted, getting a closer look at my eye. They were completely unaware of the ten other bruises throughout my body.
"Ryan, go get an an ice pack! " He screamed to Ryan, he nodded and ran to the freezer.
"Brendon, it's fine I just tripped and fell down a hill." I assured him. He probably didn't believe me. Ryan came running with the ice pack and handed it to me. I pressed it up against my eye and looked at the two of them.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Ryan asked, still mildly concerned.
"Yes, yes I'm fine." I told them, they were hovering over me like I had come home an hour past my curfew.
"I'm going to call Gerard." Brendon said, looking at Ryan then at me. He then walked away, pulling out his phone. I sighed and walked upstairs. I took the ice pack off my eye and threw it in the trash. I plopped my backpack on my bed along with my self. I was so stupid earlier, saying things like that to a popular chick will actually get me sent to the hospital. And it almost did. My phone frantically buzzed, it was Gerard.

"Oh God." I mumbled, picking up the phone and pressing it against my ear.
"Adeline Way, tell me what happened." he said sternly. I really didn't want to tell him. But since he was my adopted father, I had to.
"Some popular chick punched me in the face." I said quietly. He was dead silent on the other end.
"But it was my fault, I provoked her." I quickly added, so he wouldn't give me instructions on how to make a murder look like an accident.
"Okay .." he sighed. "At least you're okay." he added. I sighed in relief, he didn't explode.
"I have to go now Ads, I'll see you soon." He spoke. I heard the faint screaming of an audience in the background. He then hung up. I tossed my phone aside and cradled my eye. Just then there was s knock at my door.
"Yeah?" I asked. Ryan then pushed open my door.
"Hey um, what do you want for dinner?" he asked.
"I don't want anything." I responded, he raised an eyebrow.
"Adie you have to eat something." he told me, sounding concerned again.
"I'm just not hungry, okay?" I said. He nodded slowly and closed the door.
I layed back on my bed and stared at the ceiling. What would I have to face tomorrow?

World Shatter
Henry Miller always dreamt of being teleported to a fantasy world but he never expected that a fantasy world would be brought to him. On that day, the earth cracked open letting loose monsters and magical beasts onto the surface. A stroke of misfortune causes Henry to be incapable of leveling, and in turn, he is forced to become stronger through the power of exercise mixed with a fiery resolve and unparalleled regenerative powers. This isn't a story of candy and roses, but one of pain, struggling, and a strong reliance on community to work together in order to survive. Out of the ruins of shattered earth, many will rise to the top and many will fall at the feet of others, but there are very few truly strong enough to protect others, and of those few even less will willingly choose to do so. Therefore it is Henry's duty to carry that torch and be someone who can bear that responsibility. Through light and darkness, Henry will remain as the pin that holds together the World Shatter.

Rage: Crisis / Consequence / ???
Its been ten years since Seth was given his powers, ten years since his town was driven mad by that very same power, and ten years since its source was shunted into his head. A species of energy beings, a people filled with regret for what their entrance onto this world caused. Regret for the deaths that town perpetuated, the devastation they brought, the blow they served to the once proud heroes of this world. Heroes Seth now hopes to join, hopes to heal and atone to for what transpired. But their wounds run deep, their ire sharp, and their acceptance thin. And to top it all off... Seth's power is run far deeper than he knows, and sees his world in a light all its own. This series is my first foray into authoring, with two parts out of at best four if the readership stands. But part three will still book end nicely otherwise. And I'm not stopping till then. It is action heavy with varied and ramping up fight scenes through out. (Book 1 is heavy / Book 2 a little lighter) It is bloody in places, mildly gory in others, and heavily gory in simulated places. Nothing truly horrifying, I think, but be warned. It has trauma. PTSD is a major part of the story, but I will never trust that I got it completely right, so your mileage may vary on how believable or impactful it is. Lastly it has language. Swearing ebbs and flows as the story progresses and attitudes harden or soften. Sometimes bleeding through into the narration... somehow.
