《Brother of Wind {book 3: Rebooted}》chapter 11

As mentioned before, the ocean is endless and can hold may things withing it's waters.
"Get down there!" Pythor commanded a few nindroid, to swim down to the sunken mechanical dragon. The activated a function that lead the dragon to flat to the surface.
"I can't do this alone anymore." Lloyd sighed. The ninja had returned to the dark island where the temple of light was located.
"As long as I have all this power, they'll never stop commibg for me." Lloyd looked down.
"From here on out, we cannot let anything separate us again." Zane said standing next to a pillar with the symbol of the ice ninja on it.
"He's right!" Jay exclaimed, next to the lightning ninja pillar.
"Absolutely." Cole agreed.
"Let's do this." Kai got in a stance.
"Ready when you are Lloyd." Morro said raising his hands in a ready position.
Lloyd jumped up and stuck the grand bell with his power. Morro started to surround the pillars with wind then brought it all in to the bell as Lloyd hit it. Four lights exulted from Lloyd's central light. Red, blue, black, white.
The lights scattered to their respective ninja. Kai smirked as he lit his fist on fire. Zane tested out his power with making a small ice arch over himself. Cole focused his center and shook the ground around him with his given earth power. Jay charged up his whole body with electricity.
"The elemental power." Zane said.
"It's inside us!"
"FIYAAAAA!!" Kai shouted as he shot red hot flames in the air.
"Ha! Anyone shocked to see me do this?!" Jay exclaimed as he created shapes with his lighting in the air.
"No dirt off my shoulder!" Cole said excitedly as he rose the earth from beneath him.
"Chill out!" Zane exclaimed while sliding around the room.
"Foolishness." Garmadon said as he watched from afar.
"This decision puts everyone in jeapordy!"
"But, it was your son's decision to make." Wu reminded his brother.
"Hm. Young take too many risks." Garmadon turned away from the temple.
"They should listen to their fathers."
"Without risk, they'll never know how far they'll truly go." Wu said.
"Have faith, brother." The sensei placed a hand on his brother's shoulder.
"We will catch Pythor and find Borg. Maybe then, you'll rest easier."
"As the protectors of this land, we don't have the luxury of taking a rest." Garmadon said as the clouds covered the sun in the sky above.
-elsewhere-
Inventor Cyrus Borg is once more under the influence of the tech. Back to using his prosthetic limbs and cybernetic parts covered his face and body.
"Pythor, my drones are starting to ask questions." General Cryptor, leader of the nindoids told the white anacondrai.
"You say this is the Overlord's plan, yet we have not seen him."
"Oh, he's uh... Consumed at the moment." Pythor replied, looking over the work being done.
"This is an ambitious undertaking. If we find out you are pretending he is alive only to use us, you will pay dearly." Cryptor threatened.
"The Overlord will reveal ginself when he chooses to." Pythor advanced on the nindroid.
"May I remind you, you can always be reprogrammed!" Pythor angrily slithered away into what looked like a control room.
He looked to see if anyone was watching. Since they weren't, Pythor began to gag. He gagged until a purple celestial looking sludge came out of his mouth. Gross. He had the Overlord in him. Ew.

"The nindroids are impatient." Pythor told the Overlord who was weak and resting on the floor.
"They doubt your existence."
"They mustn't see me in my weakened state. If the Ninja hadn't interrupted the transference, I wouldn't look like this." The Overlord complained.
"But...not to worry. Soon, I will be strong. And soon, we will finish Project Arcturus." He finished.
Outside of the control room, a large, very large vehicle was being built. A rocket of some sort.
"Forgive my ambivalence." Pythor said.
"It's just that this plan. It's...it's--"
"It's the only way I can become the Golden Master!" The Overlord aggressively neared Pythor.
"With news of Lloyd giving away his Golden Power, there's no use hunting him anymore." The weakened purple presence said.
-the forest near Jamonacai village-
Morro stepped out of the woods after a little search.
"Ah, when did the sun get so bright?" Morro used his hand to block the sun.
"Oh, is that Morro?"
The wind ninja looked up by the sound of his name being called.
"The villagers." Morro said to himself.
Morro had lived in the monastery for most of his life and he often traveled down to Jamonacai village as it was nearby. The villagers saw Morro as a custom, coming often.
"You haven't been here in a while." One villager said.
"Hey, yeah." Morro said waving hello.
"Where have you been?" The villagers asked.
"Oh, uh, keep finding bee places so..." Morro didn't really know what to say. His social skills pretty low, and he hadn't talked to Jamonacai village in a while.
"You've been hanging out with your friend?" One adult asked. Morro looked back at the forest.
"...yeah." The sage ninja said placing his hand on his neck.
"Uh, by the way," he started.
"If you see any nindr- robots, you should probably stay inside." Morro informed.
"Oh, is something going on?" The villagers asked.
"Mmm.... You could say. Just be carful." Morro said then walked back off to the forest.
"Uuuuuhhhhhh.... Social interaction." Morro said to himself. The ninja reached a little clearing in the forest with a single tree in the middle. He walked up to it and sat near the base. Morro leaned his head on the tree trunk and sighed. He got back up and took out his glide to leave.
-Borg tower-
Garmadon rode the elevator to the 100th floor of the building. Walking in the room to meet up with Pixal, Zane, and Wu.
"Any update on the search?" Garmadon asked.
"Our cameras haven't picked up any trace of Pythor or Borg." Wu said as Zane typed on the computers.
"But, the ninja are in the field, where we don't have eyes." Wu turned to the monitor.
"No sign of nindroids in the toxic bogs." Llpyd said over the screen.
"Lloyd, while you're out there, do you have time to search the glacier barrens?" Wu asked.
"Hey, I may not be able to move mountains anymore but..." Lloyd clenched his fist.
"I can still cover ground." He said referring to his elemental bike.
"Over and out."
"Project Arcturus." Garmadon revised the boarded of clues pinned up.
"Two days ago, Zane and Pixal intercepted a coded message. Something with the code name 'Project Arcturus.'" Wu informed.
"I think I may have made a discovery!" The mailman, who was in the room playing with scrabble tiles said. He rearranged the tiles to form a new word.

"Carrot Cup Juster." The mailman said.
"What's a juster?" Wu asked.
"I don't know... Yet." The mailman said.
"Keep looking. I don't think that's it." Wu said. He turned to look at a radar that scanned the skies and stars.
"Arcturus...? Long ago, didn't we face a serpentine general hey that name?" Garmadon asked.
"Indeed we did, brother." Wu said.
"They even named a celestial zodiac after him. We're not sure how they are related."
A loud alarm sounded off with the blinking of a red light.
"What in Ninjago's name is that?" Garmadon asked.
"Our facial recognition software picked up someone." Pixal said turning yo the monitor Zane was working with.
Zane rewinded the footage to zoom in a see more clearly. There was a semi truck on the road escorted with 2 other cars. The one infront had a familiar face driving it.
"Cryptor." Wu deduced.
"My analysis can only presume they're using Borg to build something." Zane informed.
"But what?" Pixal asked.
"We need to know where those trucks are headed. Find me the nearest Ninja." Wu instructed.
The nearest was a theater. Down in Ninjago city, Nya, Jay and Cole all went to the theater, together. Jay and Cole at on either side of Nya to watch a starferrer movie.
"Tshh." Jay made a noise.
"I love Fritz Donnegan movies!" He exclaimed.
"Samurai? In space?" Cole looked at the screen.
"Really? Who writes this baloney?"
"Could you please be quiet?" The person in front of them asked.
Cole and Jay reached to grab popcorn that Nya was holding, but accidentally touched hands. The boys exclaimed in disgust. They were once again shushed.
"Hey, it wasn't my idea to go on a double date to decide between you!" Nya whispered loudly.
"The least you can do is be on your best behaviour!" Nya looked down at her bracelet that was beeping.
Literally, the others in the theater got annoyed and told them to sush.
"Please turn off all phones and devices." A robot rolled up to them.
"Oh, right." Nya silenced her bracelet.
"Sorry."
"They're not picking up." Zane said.
"Kai is the nearest in proximity." The nindroid scanned a map.
"And he should be able to get there quickly in the Prototype X-1." Pixal said.
"Good, but tell him not to engage. We can't let them know they're being followed." Wu instructed.
The plan was set.
"So these are the hottest snacks you got?" Kai asked dangling a chip bag in his hand in front of the girl working at the store. She shrugged.
"Hotter that this?" Kai smirked and flared up his hand. He then held the bag over the fire and the girl laughed.
Kai ate up all the chips (I hope he paid) and flirted with his eyes at the girl. Kai blew a smoke ring into a heart at her.
"That your ride out there?" The girl a asked.
"Pretty hot."
"Oh, that old thing?" Kai looked out the window where a red car was placed.
"That's just the Prototype X-1 roadster. I'm kind of a secret agent." Kai covered his mouth.
"Oops...guess it's not a secret anymore. You wanna go for a spin? I know Spinjitzu." Kai twirled his hand.
"Kai. Kai, I need you." Pixal, from the prototype's speaker called.
"Not now, Pixal." Kai groaned.
"Who's Pixal?!" The girl asked.
Kai stopped.
"Uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh..."
The girl splashed her slush in Kai's face.
"ARRGH! awwwwww." Kai sighed at his latest attempt to flirt. He failed. Lol.
The ninja ran outside to his ride.
"Did I catch you at a bad time?" Pixal asked.
"Ah, this better be good." Kai sighed. He stepped on the gas and hit the road.
"There's a Nindroid convoy heading west and General Cryptor is on it." Pixal informed.
"Cryptor!" Kai exclaimed.
"We need you to follow, but not be spotted." The female nindroid said.
"I'm a Ninja. That's part of the job." Kai placed some shades over his eyes and sped up.
"We mean it, Kai." Pixal said.
"It's imperative your carelessness does not jeopardize the mi--"
Kai died down the radio.
"Relax. When have I ever been careless?" The fire ninja laid back and enjoyed his ride. Suddenly, the steering wheel pulled away from Kaj's hands and started to drive itself.
"I've taken control of the X-1 remotely. You can't get rid of me that easily." Pixal spoke.
"Fine. Have it your way." Kai sat back.
"How close are we?"
"Approaching convoy in three minutes." Pixal informed.
"Let's see if we can make it in two." Kai pressed a button and sped up and away.
"You can't control your team!" Garmadon exclaimed.
"Have faith, brother." Wu said.
"He's ascending the mountain pass now." Zane revised the map.
"Kai, you better take over again." Pixal said.
"Okay!" Kai exclaimed, he grabbed the wheel.
Kai looked up and saw the vehicle driving on the road ahead.
"Remember, keep your distance. We only need to find out where they are headed." Pixal reminded.
"Boring!" Kai said.
"What I want to know is what are they hiding?" Kai stepped on the gas to catch up with them.
As he sped up, he almost crashed into car.
"Careful! Keep your eyes on the road, Kai." Pixal exclaimed.
"I was just getting the feel of it. You know, every car handles differently." Kai argued.
"Yet this car is worth far more than you. I would not advise returning it with a scratch." Pixal warned.
"Noted." Kai said.
"Let's see if we can find some killer tunes." Kai pressed a button and he accidentally launched missiles.
That alerted Pythor, Cryptor and the other nindroids.
"What's that? Hm?" Pythor looked back and saw Kai.
"We're being followed. Speed up!" Pythor commanded.
"Yes, master." Cryptor said.
Now, nindroida were in pursuit. They flew up in some kind of razor blade hover craft, and flew towards Kai.
"Uh oh." Kai lifted his shades.
The grabbed the wheel tightly and dodged the nindroids as they came towards him.
"You've done enough. From here on out, I'm in control." Pixal took back the wheel from Kai and drove herself.
"Hey! I was driving!" Kai yelled.
"Not anymore."
The car sped faster towards the vehicles ahead.
"What are you doing?" Kai asked.
"Now that our plan's foiled, our only hope is to get you aboard that semi truck to see what they are transporting." Pixal infromed.
Kai smirked.
"I love it when a plan comes together."

Reincarnated As A Benevolent Tyrant
NOTICE: This story is under rewrite. New novel has been published. Search **RE: Tyranny** in Royalroad for the new novel.Link- Re: Tyranny Thank You! ------------------------ "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory." What a brilliant line, isn't it? James was a boy who had nothing to worry about. A happy family, a nice childhood. What's more to ask? But one day, everything changed. He lost everything in the blink of an eye. The only thing left for him were the memories and dreams of the past. Trying to cope up with the loss, he cut all ties with the outside world and became a shut-in, having no one left to call his own or to rely upon. There was nothing left for him in this world, but still he lived and soon found a purpose in his life, which lead him to create something that could change the world. And on the very day when his dream project was about to come to the light, he lost his life, trying to save a little girl from an unfortunate accident. "Will I ever be remembered...? I wish... someone would." These were the last word James mumbled before his conscious faded into darkness. But his life didn't end there, as he is transmigrated into the body of an arrogant, worthless Duke's son in some unknown land with no memories about who is or any idea about where he is. In an era of political turmoil and civil strife, the Duke's son is forced to prove his worth for inheriting the title. Will he be able to accept the new reality and prove himself by leading this country into a prosperous future? Or will he cease to the pressure of his past and lose everything once more? Disclaimer: This is not a power-fantasy or a 'feel-good' story. If you feel a protagonist should never lack agency (especially in early story) or make compromises because of difficult circumstances, then this fiction is probably not for you. It is a story that delves deep into real world sociological/psychological subjects and explores many topics of gray morality. I wrote it because I like stories that make me think more about the world around us, not to detach myself from reality. Some aspects you can expect based on the tags include:- [Kingdom Building]: political drama, geopolitical/geoeconomic strategy- [Army Building]: massive battles featuring in-depth planning, combined arms, and operational logistics- [Identity Crisis]: someone translated into a whole different world having to rebuild their identity and life aims The story starts off slowly, more like a slice of life than action-adventure, but I guarantee you it will get there. For those who want to skip the slow part, start from Chapter - 35 (Beginning of The End) (The whole Disclaimer section is copied from Aorii as I am too busy writing the complete story.) And yes, just for General Knowledge, James will become OP throughout the story. He is not some legendary guy who will pull out Excalibur & conquer the entire world. Update Schedule - One chapter a day. This novel is also available on Scribble Hub. And again, I humbly thank you for reading it. I hope you stick throughout the journey.
