I was out with my best friends Pheobe, Amy, and Maggie. We are at Johnny's, our favorite hang out diner.
"So..." I fishily said wiggling my brows at Pheobe who finally said Yes to Bryan.
"How was the date?" Maggie asks as she leans in towards Pheobe by the table.
"No, not the date girls." Amy held her palm up. "How was the kiss? Was it tasty?" Amy teases making Pheobe's cheeks turn bright red.
"Ooohhhhh! She's blushing girls" I tease her more.
"I hate you all!" Pheobe sticking her tongue out to us.
"Tell us already!" Maggie nodding impatiently. Well, we are all impatient to hear the story.
"Fine." We all lean closer to each other ready for whatever tea is about to spill. "We went to the park..."
"Lame." Amy rolls her eyes at Pheobe's first phrase.
"Ssssssshhhh!" I cover Amy's mouth which she immediately push away with an annoyed expression.
"My lipstick!" Amy complains. I just roll my eyes at her and waved for Pheobe to continue.
"We had a romantic evening. He prepared a picnic with candles lit around us, it was so amazing!" She giggled as she remembers. "The kiss was..." she bites her lower lip. "The most perfect first kiss ever."
"Awwwww..." we all cooed in chorus.
"Stop it guys!" She said with an undying smile.
"I'm jealous." Maggie pouting her lips.
"Me too!" Amy crosses her arms.
"Shut up!" dipping my fingers on my water and sprinkling it to Amy and Maggie. "I should be the one saying that. I'm the single one here."
"Oh my god! Don't get me started with that again. You don't have a boyfriend for one reason..." Pheobe said rolling her eyes.

"I know, it's probably my laugh. It's definitely it, right?" I bite my inner cheek. "I sound like a horse."
"It's more like... because you've been too busy hating Chace." Amy smirking.
"I can hate who ever want." I already got pissed just by hearing his name. "And what's that have to do with me being single?" I raise my brow at her.
"You are too occupied with your hatred that you don't notice other guys." Maggie informs.
"That's not true." I defended myself.
"Yes, it is!" Maggie insisted. "Remember last year's prom? You got asked out by almost every cute and hot guy in school but you declined each one of them."
"They were all in the same circle with Chace." I squinted my eyes at the memory. "Birds with the same feathers, flock together."
"Oh my god! You are absolutely hopeless." Maggie slowly shaking her head in concern.
"Why don't you girls hate him the way I do?" I look at every single one of them. "He broke all your hearts but still, you all somehow adore him and call him hot. Don't you all feel any anger towards him?" That guy's worst than the Devil himself.
"We all moved on from that." Maggie says.
"It amazes me on how you all can do that?" I told them.
"Why do you hate him so much? The fact that you didn't date him in the first place." Pheobe asks.
"Geeez! Sorry. I'm sorry for acting as a good friend here." I crossed my arms a little hurt.
"And we love you for that, but is it like a bit much that you're still hating Chace though we already forgot and forgave him." Amy trying to sound not to be hurtful too.

"It's easy for you all to say that because you weren't me. I was the one who comforted all of you when you all cried your eyes out because he broke all your hearts." I lean in my chair in frustrations.
"We're sorry." Maggie cups my hand.
"And the thing is, I still don't understand how you all manage to date the same guy." I added.
"Duh!" They all commented.
"Because he's Chace." Amy pointing out like her life depended on it.
"Whatever!" I roll my eyes at her.

"Mom, I'm home!" I yelled as I entered the house. It's Saturday and Mom gets her weekends off.
"Hi, Sweetie!" She welcomed me with a smile while holding a fruit basket. I flop onto the couch, turning the TV on. "I need you to deliver this to the new neighbor."
"Can I do it later mom?" I said not taking my eyes away from the TV.
"Cassie, aren't you too old for cartoons?" Mom said snatching the remote. I dramatically put a hand on my chest acting like I was hurt.
"That hurts!" I wipe some imaginary tears on my cheek.
"Stop with your nonsense! Deliver this to the new neighbor." She laid the fruit basket on my lap.
"Fine." I lazily stand on my feet towards the door. "But don't change the channel, Phineas and Ferb is next. I'm calling dibs on the TV."
"Such a baby!" Mom rolls her eyes. "Also, do say that we are inviting them for dinner tomorrow night." she added.
"Okay." I answered. I made my way to the new neighbors' porch. I think they haven't finished packing, they still have some more boxes out front. The door was slightly open. I knocked and not a second after, a little girl peaked on the door.
"Hi!" I waved at her.
"Hello!" She cutely grins amd open the door wider.
"Who's at the door, sweetie?" A woman came out from the kitchen. She seems to be at the same age as my mom. She smiles as she saw me. "Yes?" She asks.
"I'm Cassie, I live next door. My mother wanted to give you this." I handed her the fruit basket. "Just a simple welcome to the neighborhood."
"Thank you! Please thank your mom for me." She took the fruit basket.
"Mom also wants to invite you for dinner tomorrow." Relying the message mom wanted me.
"That would be lovely, please tell your mom that we accept the invitation." she answered. "So rude of me, you've introduced yourself and I haven't. You can simply call me Lily, this is my daughter Lucy, I have a son maybe the same age as you but he's upstairs. Would you like to meet him?"
"Oh, No need Ma'am, I mean Lily." I sheepishly grin. "I should probably go now, homework still are undone." half true, I was just eager to come back and watch my cartoon.
"Okay, thanks for the fruits again." Lily said. She waved as I left their porch.
"Of course, bye!" I waved them goodbye.

The Destiny Detour is third in the Black Pearl Series, but the events of this story occur 10 years after the first two, and it focuses on different characters in the world. I know the description isn't much to go on but I'm going to leave it like that in hopes that people end up curious enough to give the story a read. Fair warning, this is my first time writing a novel and honestly would love some constructive criticism. leave a comment below the chapters if you find anything that should be corrected or if you have any questions.
