《Bad Boy Next Door》Chapter 17: Theory

I was at Gym class at the top of the benches and chin resting on my palm looking at the players.
"What are you looking at?" Pheobe asked as she sits next to me. Then I just then realize that I was actually looking at Chace playing volleyball. I slap my face to wake myself from this absurdness. "what are you doing?" She stops me from slapping myself
"I'm turning Crazy!" I said as she holds my wrist stopping me
"What?" She was confused. I suck in my breath and looked at the players but then my sight fell on Chace again. Pheobe tried to follow my gaze on the players "Don't tell me, you're falling for Him!" she pointed her finger on Chace
"That's so impossible!" I shook my head "No!" I instantly became irritated and marched down the benches
"Cassie!" Pheobe yelled but I didn't want to explain nor to talk anymore. I'm not in the mood. As I reached the bottom stairs a ball rolled down to my step, tripping me.
"SHIT!" I heard someone said, while most of the crowd was laughing. I rubbed my butt as I groan in pain from the fall I just made. "You okay?" That someone gave me a hand to help me up, as I looked up I saw it was Chace. "Go on!" He gestured for me to take his hand
"I'm fine!" I said as I struggle to stand, I might have injured my ankle from tripping onto the ball. He instantly catches me, supporting me to stand. A hand on my waist and another holding my hand. My heart quicken as we had contact.
"Sit for a moment" he helps me sit on the bench
"I'm okay" still denying his help

"Hush" he said and took a look at my ankle. He slightly twisted it, then I let out a groan as a tickle of pain surfaced "You need to go to the clinic" he said
"No Chace, I'm fine" I initially stood up and just endured the pain "See!" I said pointing on the ankle
"But-"
"I'm good" I gave him a thumbs up in return

I continuously stab my salad as the sight of Chace flirting with some other random girl was all I see.
"I heard what happened at the gym, is your ankle okay?" Maggie said but I couldn't focus on what she was saying "Cassie" he snaps her finger at me, pulling me out of my murderous trance
"W-what?" I looked at her confused
"Are you okay? I thought you only hurt your ankle" she sips on her diet coke "What is going on with you?"
"Nothing" I looked down on my food, it was messy all over. I pushed it aside.
"But it surely does seem something" she leaned closer towards me
"What? Pssh No"
"Cassie Collins! Spill!" She kicked my foot under the table
"Ouch! I said nothing" I kicked her as revenge. Then moments later an orange drink was placed in front of me, then Chace sat down
"Hi, Mags!" He greeted Maggie "I will vote for you as President" he gives her a nod
"That's nice of you Chace" she smiles flirtatiously, making me somehow annoyed
"Why are you here Chace?" I annoyedly pushed the drink towards him
"It's for you" he moved it back to me again
"Oh that's so sweet" Maggie smiling on Chace's gesture
"Is this spiked?" I examine the drink, he smally laugh
"Why would I do that? And there's still plastic." He pointed on the seal.

"I don't know, because you're you!" I retorted
"Why are you acting such a bitch?" He tried to joke but I was not in the mood
"Bitch!? I'm a bitch?" I stood up slamming my hand on the table "You're a fucking asshole!" I burst out of the cafeteria.
I stomp my way out to the field and shouted as loud as I can. I just wanted to release my anger that I don't know where was coming. Pacing back and forth with hands on my hips.
"I HATE HIM!" I yelled one more time
"Who do you hate?" Someone asked, I turned to look at the person
"Who is it?" The light was too bright for my eyes to clearly look at the figure that was standing by a tree
"It just me, Leah " It was my Chemistry classmate Leah, she doesn't have that many friends for they say she's weird looking
"Oh"
"I didn't mean to frighten you" she apologized
"You didn't, I'm just in the middle of hating someone" I explained
"Who Chace Wayne?"
"My misunderstanding with him is that obvious?"
"Yeah" she nodded "What did he do to you this time?" She sat down the grassy field, me sitting down with her
"Nothing really but I just feel really irritated with him today" I explained
"You like him?" She blurted
"No!" I quickly responded "No! I don't like him, I hate him"
"Why do most people hate him? he's actually nice" she spoke of him as she knew him
"Have you conversed with him? He's rude, cocky and full of himself"
"Yes he is, but it's just a part of him not all of him"
"You seem to know him so well"
"He's actually my cousin, his mother and my mother are sisters" she informed
"Really? Why don't I see you hang with him? He doesn't want you near him right?"
"No, he had asked me to join his table to hang out with his friends but they're just not my crowd, he's popular and I'm not. I don't want to ruin he's reputation" she looked down
"Screw that! People should just keep their nasty thought about labels and status. We can make friends with anyone we want"
"He told me you were nice" she smiles
"He spoke about me?" I was a bit interested
"Yeah, and these past few days he seems to not stop talking about you" I felt happy from what she said "And I think he likes you"
"Yeah, he likes to annoy me all the time"
"No, like he really likes you"
"That's totally impossible" I wave my hand nonchalantly
"Fine if you won't believe me, but I can see that you like him too" I burst out laughing from her theory
"Now that's superbly impossible"
"Does your heart beats so fast every time you see him or you get near him? Do feel annoyed when he talks to some other girls without any idea? Do you find yourself staring at him unknowingly? Do-"
"Stop! That is all not true. I don't like him!" I cut her words
"But you do feel most of the things and then it means-"
"Nope! Nope!" I shook my head "It was really nice talking to you Leah but I have to go to class" I said rubbing some dirt off my jeans
"Think about it though" she said
"I don't like him" I said before finally leaving. I made my way back to the halls, when I saw Chace and Megan kissing and that I felt something pinning on my heart that it hurts. I flee out of the halls again, hand on my heart.
Shit! I do like Chace Wayne.

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
