Narrator's POV

Poppy has gathered the citizens of Trollstopia for an announcement and the leaders, Smidge, Amber, Becky and Ruby were standing next to her.

"Trollstopians, I have good news. At long last all our hug watches have been synchronized to the local hug time zone" Poppy announced.

Smidge pulls down a chart and says "Snuggle STD Time".

Everyone awe at the announcement then a random country troll then shouts from the crowd "Now that's just cute". Then Poppy says "Now if you all just form an orderly line you can pick up your watches to get ready for our first official Hug-time".

"And these watches were made by our human friends to make them look like our tribes theme" Queen Essence adds and looked at the girls and smiled at them and cause them to smile back.

Then Poppy's hug time watch went off and says "Which is in 12 seconds".

"12 seconds!? Forget the orderly line!Form a chaotic mob!" Smidge shouts.

This causes everyone to run at the same time to grab their watches. A country troll grabs his and it went off and said "It's Hug-time y'all" and he and a female country troll cheer and hugged each other. Two Funk trolls are playing their guitar until their Hug-time watch went off and they both said "Hug-time baby" and hugged each other while wrapping their necks together. Ruby and Trollex's Hug-time watch went off at the same time and looked at each other. "Well Trollex... Want a hug?" Ruby says smiling at Trollex who said nothing and didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her and hugs her causing her to hug back.

"~Ooh looks like two certain people are having a little snuggle time~" a voice said behind them ruining their moment. They let go and turn around to see Barb looking at them with a smirk on her face and her arms crossed. Trollex blushed bright red and glares at her and says "R-Really Barb!". She shrugged her shoulders and says "I just sayin' carry on" and walks off. Trollex looked away lightly blushing causing Ruby to laugh a little and she went over to him hugs him once more and gave him a small kiss causing him to blush more and made a goofy smile making her to giggle.

Then she looked and saw Synth and Amber hugging while Lownote and Becky were also hugging each other causing her to squeal inside and quickly brought out her camera then snaps a picture. She looks at the photo and says "That's a keeper". She then hears Smidge say "Uh, Poppy something's wrong with the classical trolls" and points in a direction.

Dante, Trollsart and two other classical trolls looked at each other unsure what to do. "No hugs? Uh we better go see what's wrong" Poppy says still hugging Smidge.

"Can we keep hugging?" Smidge asked Poppy also still hugging her. "Of course" Poppy said causing them to hug tighter and used their toes to get there with Ruby, Becky and Amber following them behind.

Ruby's POV

We walked to the classical trolls and Poppy says/asked "Hey Dante, Trollsart why aren't you hugging? Is everything okay?". Dante says "Perfectly fine classical trolls simply [ ] don't hug".

Trollsart then adds "That is correct".

I already knew that the classical trolls don't hug cause Minuet told since we became friends too. This caused the girls to be taken it back and the snack pack all gasped and kept continuing.

"Um let's go talk in private" Poppy says as she led Dante and Trollsart somewhere else along with me, Amber and Becky. "Dante, Trollsart if you don't hug how do classical trolls show love and affection?" Poppy asked.

"We find a dignifying bow sufficient" Dante says as he and Trollsart bowed.

"Oh like at the end of a play" Amber said. "A long, formal, emotionally, guarded play" Becky and I said at the same time while looking a little down.

"Precisely" Dante said. "But what about those special times your bursting with emotions and you just have to Gahhh [ ]" Poppy says. "Oh [ ] we have those" Dante says.

A random special moment Narrator's POV

A classical troll is holding his wife's arm while she is laying on a bed and then a female classical troll comes in and she is holding a baby classical troll that has been born and flies to the loving couple.

"Congratulations, it's a baby girl" the female classical troll said.

The parents gasp while spreading their arms and they bow with a hum and then the baby classical also bows as well.

Back to reality

"But we certainly don't want to be left out a Trollstopian custom" Dante says.

"Very well Poppy" Trollsart said. "May I have a hug?" Dante asked Poppy.

Poppy smiles and walks over and gives Dante his very first hug and makes his eyes go a little widened.

Once she lets go Dante then says "I... I found that [ ] uninspiring". Poppy, Ruby and the girls all shouted in shock "".

"That can't be your reaction to your first hug" Amber exclaimed. "Here let me try again" Poppy says and hugs him again. "Mundane" Poppy looked confused and hugs him. "Humdrum" Poppy looked disbelief and hugs him again. "Bland" Poppy gasp and hugs him again hoping it will work.

"Lackluster" Poppy then falls on her knees waving her arm and falls face flat on the ground while Ruby and the girls looked at her like she went crazy.

Poppy gets up and says "Ok. Don't worry, we're going to go up to classical crest and I'm not leaving until you understand the magic of hugs". Then she tries to hug him again then his reply was "Pedestrian" causing Poppy to cry out in frustration.

At Classical Crest

Up in the clouds at Classical crest Poppy is in front of the classical trolls along with Ruby, Amber and Becky ready to help the classical trolls learn how to hug.

"To appreciate hugs I think all you need is a little practice let's start nice and slow" Poppy says. She moves to the side and behind her reveals a statue and says "By hugging this, who wants to try?". Then Minuet raises her hand and says "Minuet Sonata. I'm a fast study, they say it takes 10 hours to mastercraft, I learned the violin in four and also learned to scrapbook in 2 hours and 15 min with the help from Protector Ruby".

"Well you're a real go-getter, aren't you?" Poppy says sounding impressed.

'Wow Minuet learned the violin in four hours and it took me a week to figure it out' Ruby thought in her head.

"In what language would you like me to answer that I speak seven-teen-thousand" Minuet said confidently and she thought for a minute then said "Actually no I got carried away there it's seventeen" and flies up next to Poppy and Ruby and the girls.

"Alright we might have ourselves a winner here trolls" Ruby exclaimed.

"Now arms out" Poppy says. "Like this?" Minuet says in spreads her arms high in the air. "No that's too high" Poppy said. "Is this right?" Minuet said and put her arms down.

"Kay now they're to low" Ruby said gently. "Oh okay hang on" Minuet says and made her arms in a weird pose.

"Raise your right arm. Raise your right arm. Raise your right arm, your right arm not your leg" Poppy says getting frustrated. "Is it right" Minuet said while got herself tangled.

"No. No it's not" Becky says. Then Ruby went to Minuet and helped her get untangled.

The trolls were doing their own things while Poppy, Ruby, Amber, Becky, Dante, Trollsart, Minuet and some classical trolls were hiding in the bushes. "Maybe it would help you guys to see a few more examples of the real thing" Poppy says and she and Ruby jump out of bush and they both shouted "Surprise Hug Party!!!".

Then everyone stopped and gasped and then everyone started screaming in excitement and all ran to hug someone. "Now you try just do what comes naturally to you" Amber says to Dante, Minuet, and Trollsart.

"What comes naturally well I suppose we could keep our back straight like so" Dante says and puts his legs down and now his back is straight.

"Yes" Poppy and the girls said at the same time. "Yes. Yes and maybe if we extend our arms out like this" Minuet says and extends her arms out.

Poppy and Becky gasp happily at the same time. "That does seem promising" Trollsart said and extended his arms out. Poppy and the girls squeal at the same time.

"Then one arm in" Dante added and put his arm in. "Wait?" Poppy said looking confused and Amber and Becky also looked confused.

"And perhaps if we lean into the hug" Minuet says. "Uh..guys?" Poppy says while Dante and Minuet and Trollsart started bowing to each other.

"We're doing it. We're hugging" Dante and Minuet and Trollsart said at the same time continuing bowing to each other. Poppy just facepalm and puts her hand on her face, Amber and Becky also facepalm while Ruby just sighs.

Poppy is writing chalkboard still trying to help the classical trolls learn to hug.

"Kay let's try again" Poppy says and looks at the classical trolls. She and the girls turns around and sees the classical trolls looking down and sad.

"Guys what's wrong" Amber asked in concern. "Ugh let's face it Amber We Will Never Hug Successfully" Dante says sadly. "We're inadequate" Trollsart said sadly and hangs his head down. "It seems hug time is just going to be an aspect of Trollstopia that we won't be apart of" Minuet also says sadly. "No don't quit now. Trust me when you finally get it, a hug will make you feel better then you ever felt before like...like..." Poppy says trying to come up with an example.

Then she looked at Ruby and she nodded her head getting an idea and said "Can you give us a high C Dante?". Dante looks up looking happy and said "That I can do". he then pulls out a piano from out of his hair and placed it on the ground causing Amber and Becky to look speechless and shock. Then he sits down and begins to play the piano while Poppy, Ruby and the girls started singing together.

After Dante is getting a hug from the girls he snaps back into reality. Poppy lets him go and he went backwards and finally says "That... Was Marvelous!". This caused Poppy, Ruby, the girls and the Snack pack to smile at them. "Thank you Poppy. Thank you for opening our eyes to hugs" Minuet says. "Let us not delay classical trolls perhaps we could sneak in a few more before hug time is over" Trollsart said and soon they all flew off.

They watched the classical trolls went off and everything was silent until Smidge broke the silence and asked "Are they gone?".

"They're gone" Poppy says and she and the snack pack started scream panicking causing Ruby and the girls to catch off guard. "What in the hair was that!?" Guy diamond asked.

"I think they were hugs but they felt so wrong" Smidge says while hugging herself. "So lifeless" Satin says. "So limp" Chenille added while hugging herself. "Limp? Mine was so tight I've lost all the feeling in my arms" Biggie says and Mr. Dinkles slipped out of his arm and fell to the ground.

"I know" Poppy says. "But thank you for not telling them that their hugs..." Ruby states and Copper finished her sentence by saying "Were Painful. Uncomfortable. Third Adjective".

"I was gonna say need improvement" Ruby says. "Don't worry the Classical trolls will get better with practice they have to" Poppy says and then added "Right?". Ruby, Becky and Amber groan at that statement and said at the same time "Don't jinx it Poppy".

Guy diamond was looking at his mirror while brushing his hair until his hug-time bracelet went off. Then Minuet came out from the bushes and said "Hug time!".

"Oh no" Guy diamond says himself in many way gives him a hug but a little too tight.

Then he tries to stay positive and says "It..feels nice~" and only for Minuet to squeeze him tighter and caused him to fart out glitter.

Amber was watering her plants in front of her house while Becky was helping her by planting seeds for her flower garden and then suddenly both of their hug time watches went off. "Hug time!" Dante says coming out of nowhere and pulls both the girls into a hug and he keeps hugging them for a little while.

"Oh, is this one of those long ones?" Amber asked only causing Dante to hug them a little tighter and rub his cheek against Amber's. Unknown to the three of them a certain techno ambassador and the funk ambassador we're looking at them behind a tree glaring at Dante with jealously.

Smidge's hug time watch went off and she was sweating and freaking out while looking two ways only to hear birds crowing. Just when she sighs of relief free classical trolls come out from the bushes behind her saying hug time it scared the life out of her.

"They are not getting better" Smidge says shaking and hugging herself.
