《Zyon: The Alpha Of The North》Chapter Fifteen

The sun is streaming right onto my face when I wake up the next morning and the space next to me is empty. I feel a little pang in the pit of my stomach- an inkling of disappointment that he wasn't there when I woke up. This is, of course, instantly followed my a feeling of self-loathing and guilt that I would potentially want him there when I wake up.
I throw the blankets off me and walk towards the door of the room, anxious to get back into my own room. The urge to pee is just killing me. Just as I'm leaving, the door to Zyon's bathroom flies open.
I'm unable to respond because my attention is fully focused on Zyon in a towel. A towel that hangs dangerously around his waist. I want it to fall off. The self-loathing is back. My mouth goes dry, and I just nod and run out of the room straight into my own. I bang the door shut and slide down onto the floor. Goddess. I can't keep doing this. I'm going to lose control. This mate bond just constantly encourages me to look at him in that way. I have to get out of here. Specially before he marks me. If he marks me, I'm done for. I would never be able to get away from him. The bond most likely wouldn't let me. I don't know how it works though, since I don't have a wolf. Without my wolf, if I was marked, I still probably would be able to leave him. But what if my wolf showed up? Awakened? She would never let me leave. I'd really be trapped then.
I go into the bathroom, shower quickly and dress in a pair of black denim shorts. My thought process and fear of being marked, led me to wear a turtle-necked white long-sleeved shirt. I paired it with white sandals. Put on some lip tint and left my hair open. Just as I was done, Lita and Rita walked in, ready to escort me to breakfast. They were surprised I didn't fight them, but frankly I was starving. I hadn't eaten in over twenty-four hours, and I needed my strength if I needed to escape. That meant eating and getting as much information out of Zyon as possible.

Alpha Amor should be coming today to retrieve his pack members. I wondered how that was going to go down. Zyon would be forced to return Yasmeen and Harvey back to their packs. Harming another pack members without probable cause or reason is considered a crime of a high level. It could cause wars or in this case the breaking of an alliance. I wondered if Amor would do that. Yasmeen did throw a table at Zyon. Though extremely proud and touched that she did that for me, I'm sure Zyon would use that as a reason for Yasmeen's torture. Harvey, though, he would need to explain. Perhaps even to the werewolf council. I don't care what repercussions my actions would cause for Zyon. I just wanted Yasmeen and Harvey out of here so I could truly fight Zyon without the fear of being blackmailed or them suffering for my actions.
Lita and Rita led me onto a sky terrace. In accordance with everything else, it was beautifully done up. Potted plants and flowers all along it, AstroTurf on the floor, and a garden table in the middle of it all. Zyon really had impeccable taste. My attention moved away from my surroundings to the food on the table- waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs. Almost every type of breakfast item was laid out- it just seemed excessive to me, but I was too hungry to complain. I almost didn't see Zyon sitting on the table waiting for me, but it's not like I was going to acknowledge his existence. I started piling food onto my plate, and dug in without a word to Zyon. I think I ate for ten minutes straight without looking up. I was soley focused on my food. When I finally did look up, Zyon was just looking at me, highly amused. Lita and Rita standing alert for us, also had amused looks on their faces.

I just rolled my eyes. When I was finally fully done, I turned my attention to Zyon.
That caught his attention. He put down his knife and fork, and took a sip of his coffee.
I let out a sigh of exasperation.
He says, completely disregarding what I had said.
I took a deep breath.
He takes another sip of his coffee. He finishes this off with a smug smile on his face.
I feel myself grow more exasperated.
He's out of his seat before I can finish my sentence. Lita and Rita remove themselves from the room without being told. He places his hands on the arms/handles of my chair and leans down.
With that he stands to his full height.
He walks straight out. I can do nothing, but watch him go. I'm extremely terrorized by his threat. I know he'd mark me or mate me when he wants, and I know I wouldn't be able to stop him. I'm afraid a part of me wouldn't want to stop him. I'm going to have to manipulate Violet into telling me about an exit. I can attempt an escape while Amor is here. The entire pack will be too involved in trying to salvage relations. The last thing on their minds would be me.
Suddenly, I can't wait for Violet to come to the Alpha's wing.
