It was April of 2016 and I was going to try out for a new studio to dance at. I got there and I was petrified. I knew that the studio owners were gay, so I should've felt safe, being part of the LGBT+ community myself, but I didn't. Everybody seemed to know everybody, and everybody seemed to be straight. Except for this one girl. Let's just call her Flower. She came up to me at the end of the class and started talking to me. Her hair was cropped short and it was dyed platinum blonde on top. She introduced herself to me, and I instantly fell in love with her. Her voice was so sweet, and her eyes were kind. She asked me if I knew anybody else there. I said no. Then she took me on a tour of the studio so I could see where I was going to be in September, when I officially start dance there.

She led me around the studio and I just stared at her, not paying attention to where she was taking me.

The day ended, and I had to go home.

I've seen her twice in my life. But every other day she is always in the back of my mind.
