"Unusually and Exceedingly Peculiar and Altogether Quite Impossible to Describe..."

The "goodies": So, I'll just come right out with this (pun intended), I'm a lesbian. [Rainbows EVERYWHERE] Only a select few Of my "real life" friends and practically all of my internet friends know this. My mother and stepfather think I'm Bi (even though when I came out, I thought I was pan) And my dad and stepmom think I'm straight. Woo hoo.

I mean, I can still find guys visually appealing, like someone who is not sexually attracted to shoes think a pair of shoes look nice, but I wouldn't find any pleasure in dating or *ahem* doing the WooHop with them.

Anyways, I guess you want to hear my story, right? I'll move this along.

Crap. How do I write this?

As cheesy as it sounds, I guess one day it all "clicked" for me. I was confused, because most media and pop culture portray Homosexual Females as repulsed by men, which I am not, and I realized I didn't really feel any form of romantic or physical attraction towards any other gender, so I mentally and metaphorically looked myself in the eye, and told myself that I was gay.

Now, the way I tell people this in reality is WAY less formal. I usually crack a few gay jokes then say "but me, though".

To be honest, I AM quite afraid to come out to my family, but I think that coming out to myself is what I am most proud of.
