Dear wattpad, I am Kierstyn. I am almost 13, I am a cis-gendered female, and I know my sexuality. I am pansexual. I am tired of many people saying "you're too young to know" but I know.

When people find out I like someone, they ask "who is he?" And I respond gender-neutral. But this isn't what I hate most. Neither is the fact that people call me lesbian, fag, and worse. Although that is annoying. What I hate most is people saying "there are only two genders" or "gender and sex are the same thing". There is more. They are different. And the whole "bisexuality and pansexuality are the same thing" is annoying, too. I can be attracted to people of all genders, regardless of gender. I used to have a crush on my best friend, let's call them A, and they are bi and I just found out they are transgender. I am being really supportive.

Earlier, I had a debate with my dad, and he was saying non-binary people should keep that to themselves and go with biology, and he was saying "You have a penis, you are a man. You have a vagina, you are a woman." My parents are supportive of me being pansexual, but they refuse to believe non-binary people should be called by their preferred pronouns in public.

People tell me pansexuality doesn't exist, that I'm just bi asking for attention, but they are wrong. I am pan, and I am proud. So don't let anyone tell you you are wrong, or asking for attention, if you are pan. Be proud of who you are.
